Zhang Dong?

Upon hearing Zhang Bohua's words, Yang Jian looked at him with a pair of eyes emitting a red glow, then calmly glanced at the others before slowly speaking, "Don't set too high expectations on Zhang Dong. Even if He Yiner could summon Zhang Dong's spirit, bringing your Republic of China Period team together would still not be enough to contend with ."

"I don't believe it," Zhang Youhong chuckled softly. "Zhang Dong has reached the pinnacle on the path of controlling malevolent spirits. No one is better than him. Maybe you're impressive, but I believe he won't be inferior to you. It's a pity that you two can't et, otherwise you'd know I'm not just boasting."

Even after witnessing Yang Jian's strength, she still had great confidence in Zhang Dong.

"Your level is too low; you can never comprehend my current state," Yang Jian's gaze was indifferent.

Zhang Youhong's smile stiffened slightly.

For the first ti in her life, soone told her she was of a low level.

Without waiting for others to speak, Yang Jian continued, "I am the only one nurtured by an era. Since I dare to discard the identity of a ghost handler and call myself a god, I am of course omnipotent. The gap between us is like the gap between ordinary people and malevolent spirits—seemingly similar forms are in fact two entirely different existences."

"Do you think Zhang Dong can asure up to ? Then let show you whether he can do it."

As he finished speaking, the ghost eye on Yang Jian's forehead imdiately shone with a scarlet light.

At the sa mont, nurous phantom figures appeared around him, layered upon countless others, each identical to Yang Jian and all with their ghost eyes open.

The red light from the ghost eyes converged, causing a certain qualitative change, forming a large red door.

At the instant this red door opened, the boundary between the supernatural and reality was broken, even crossing from the present to the past.

One side of the door connected to the hall of an ancient mansion.

In the center of the hall sat an old man, lifeless and about to pass away.

This old man was none other than Zhang Dong, who had been buried for sixty years.

"Zhang Dong? How is this possible?" ng Xiaodong's eyes widened at the mont, his wrinkled face full of incredulity.

Zhang Youhong, Luo Qian, and Luo Wensong also showed expressions of disbelief.

Breaking the boundary between reality and the supernatural was one thing, but connecting to the distant past? Could a ghost handler actually achieve this?

Inside the ancient mansion.

The old man nad Zhang Dong slightly raised his head, his dim eyes scanning the people beyond the door. After a brief mont of shock, he mustered up his strength and stood, moving toward the spontaneously appearing red door without hesitation.

Because Zhang Dong instinctively believed that his teammates on the other side needed his help.

Even though he was about to die, lending a hand one last ti wasn't out of the question.

But as this dying old man approached the red door, it seed on the verge of dissipating.

"Stop there. Only I can go to your side; you cannot cross the barrier of ti to co here," Yang Jian's calm voice ca from the other side of the door.

Zhang Dong paused upon hearing this, his aged voice sounding, "So that's how it is. It seems soone remarkable erged in the future."

As he spoke, he glanced at the other teammates behind the door.

"What's the situation like in the future?"

Zhang Bohua imdiately replied, "The best scenario has occurred. After we died, the supernatural re-erged and gave birth to this unique being, completely ending the supernatural era. Now, there are no supernatural incidents in the world; all malevolent spirits have been sealed. We were rely summoned by a Soul Summoner from Taiping Ancient Town to witness the new world."

"You've truly brought so good news. Now, I can die relieved." A slight smile crept onto Zhang Dong's old face, and he once again looked at Yang Jian, as if trying to morize him.

"You crossed ti and ca to et with supernatural power, not just for this, I presu."

Yang Jian said, "After your teammates summoned the spirits, they wanted to asure , but lost terribly, so they wanted you to regain so face. However, you are special and cannot be summoned, so here I am."

"Don't bla them. Since the supernatural era has ended, we old folks naturally have no place in this world anymore and likely won't appear here again. So they wanted to make one last effort to ensure you rember them."

"Leaving a mark on soone as extraordinary as you is indeed a source of pride."

"After all, true death begins when one is forgotten."

Zhang Dong smiled slightly, pointing out the intentions of these old comrades.

They spent a lifeti battling the supernatural, even preparing for their spirits to be summoned after death.

Now they know this is their last summoning. With no more malevolent spirits to contend with, they are, of course, reluctant to make a quiet exit.

"So, what's your intention? Do you want to spar with ?" Yang Jian asked.

"You managed to find across decades; how could I be your opponent? Moreover, I have little ti left to live. I need to peacefully prepare for what's to co. Knowing so things about the future today is enough for ." Zhang Dong gently shook his head, appearing very open-minded at this mont.

At least, his lifelong efforts hadn't been in vain.

The future indeed held hope.

Seeing this, Yang Jian asked no more questions. The red glow in his ghostly eye gradually faded, and the red door connecting to the past quickly began to vanish.

"Farewell, everyone." Zhang Dong smiled slightly, giving a final nod to his old companions.

Luo Qian, Luo Wensong, Zhang Bohua, Zhang Youhong, and the others all smiled in response.

At this mont, they gathered and t as if returned to a mont in the past. Sadly, such a ti was all too brief. Nonetheless, they were content, as they had been gone for decades, and witnessing a new future made their lives not in vain.

ng Xiaodong's eyes welled with tears. Her heart was filled with reluctance, but she had to accept this final farewell.

"Xiaodong, I'm sorry."

When Zhang Dong looked at ng Xiaodong for the last ti, there was a hint of guilt in his eyes.

Then, to everyone's surprise, Zhang Dong's aged hand reached into the red door. Before the supernatural connection across ti could disappear, he stood in front of ng Xiaodong and wiped away a tear from her wrinkled face.

After completing this last action, the supernatural door vanished, once again separating the future from the present.

All traces entirely disappeared.

"He really could do it." Yang Jian squinted slightly, looking in the direction where Zhang Dong had disappeared.

"Haha, my wishes are fulfilled, and it's all over now. The ti to summon souls is nearly here; it's ti for to go too."

Zhang Bohua laughed heartily; his laughter was full of relief, as if the depression of countless years had dissipated entirely with everything that just happened.

While laughing, Zhang Bohua's body began to swiftly disintegrate, turning into a wisp of smoke and drifting away with the wind.

"Indeed, now there's a god in this era imprisoning fierce ghosts. What can we not let go of? All our efforts have been worthwhile." Luo Qian also showed a satisfied smile as his body disintegrated and disappeared, leaving in a remarkably carefree manner.

"The future is in your hands; it's truly remarkable." Li Qingzhi nodded slightly at Yang Jian, and his tall figure vanished along with him.

ng Xiaodong kept watching the spot where Zhang Dong vanished. She was lost in thought, a youthful smile appearing on her lips. Her mories seed to have returned to the past, back to the mont she first t Zhang Dong... and with that beautiful mory, she too left this world.

"My ti is almost up too."

Zhang Youhong's qipao was peeling away, and her body was turning into smoke, yet she still wore that charming smile: "Yang Jian, during my brief awakening, I could sense that another version of is still alive. If the timing is correct, that should be my third life. If possible, I hope you can find ."

"If I find you, aren't you afraid I'll throw you into hell?" Yang Jian's eyes flickered.

"The future is very long." After leaving this ssage, Zhang Youhong disappeared completely.

One by one, the top ghost-tars of the Republic of China Period passed away.

In the end, only the forr manager of the Ghost Post Office, Luo Wensong, was left.

But Luo Wensong's ti had also co; his body was turning to smoke as well, but he sighed in the end: "Young man, you're right. Even if all of us gathered, we couldn't asure against you. Encountering you at the end of my life is indeed a blessing."

He found peace in his heart and departed with a smile.

Soon, all abnormalities vanished.

The area in front of the ancestral hall in Taiping Town returned to tranquility.

"Fortunately, things didn't turn out so bad." He Yiner sighed with slight relief.

Luckily, those ghost-tars from the Republic of China Period and Yang Jian only went as far as they did, rather than fighting to the death. Otherwise, it would have been a question of whether Taiping Town could have survived intact.

After watching everyone leave, Yang Jian finally looked at He Yiner: "Next ti you perform a soul summoning, don't call my na so easily. My presence is solely to combat the supernatural and imprison fierce ghosts."

"That's not my fault. I didn't expect those old seniors from the Republic of China Period to be so attached to you. However, your existence is surprising to . What really happened in those sixty years? Many people were waiting for you, but in the end, no one ever got to see you." He Yiner said.

Yang Jian retracted his gaze and calmly said, "Ending the supernatural era required a price, and my price was those sixty years."

"Live well. Co to Dachang City for tea when you have ti. That Zhang Youhong was right; the future is very long."

After saying that, he turned around, and a golden staircase reaching the sky appeared once more before him.

Yang Jian stepped onto the stairs, gradually disappearing until he was eventually no longer seen.
