Infused with Ghost Blood for a long ti, this area had turned into a haunted place.

The wild grass and soil were crimson, emitting a bloody sll, even the trees were red, and they grew into strange shapes, like twisted corpses.

But very soon.

This area, affected by supernatural forces, suddenly caught fire.

It was a pale green Ghost Fla.

The Ghost Fla raged, setting everything here ablaze, even the crimson soil was burning.

"It's better to clean up this place first." At this mont, Yang Jian stood steadfastly amidst the flas, motionlessly waiting for the Ghost Fla to burn away all the supernatural-tainted things in this area.

The fire raged fiercely, and amidst the flas ca all sorts of strange sounds.

From so bushes ca shrill screams, as a body covered in bloody skin, as if skinned, was ignited by the Ghost Fla.

So trees twisted back and forth under the roasting, also emitting screams akin to living humans.

All sorts of supernatural phenona began to appear.

However, as the Ghost Fla gradually extinguished, these supernatural phenona quickly vanished.

The bloody corpse turned into a pile of charcoal, the crimson twisted corpse-like trees turned into a chunk of dead wood, and the dense red weeds disappeared without a trace... Everything was burned away, leaving only a pond in the middle, seemingly filled with blood, unaffected by the fire.

Yang Jian stood beside this Blood Pool, unable to discern what was inside or how deep it was, only knowing that falling in would bring unimaginable peril.

But danger cos with opportunity.

Having controlled the supernatural bus, he could resist the erosion of the paranormal; with luck, the two supernatural forces might form a balance, allowing him to survive.

If balance couldn't be achieved, Yang Jian would either die from the supernatural resurgence or perish in the Ghost Blood.

But he had thought it through clearly, so he did not hesitate much and just continued with his preparations.

Yang Jian picked up a red spear and drew a large circle around the Blood Pool. .

This circle enclosed both the Blood Pool and himself.

After doing this, Yang Jian gripped the spear firmly, whispered softly, and made a wish: "Anyone who cos near this circle, whether alive or a malicious ghost, will face the spear's assault. This will last for a year, the spear will strike, fulfilling the wish."

After making this wish, he unhesitatingly threw the spear.

The flying spear landed on the ground not far away, deeply embedded in the charred soil.

Yang Jian did not want to be disturbed while inside the Blood Pool, nor did he want anyone to purposely interfere and ruin things, so he made such a wish and set the duration to a year.

This was already a very conservative tifra.

If he hadn't erged from the Blood Pool in a year, he would surely be dead; if he survived within a year, he could naturally lift this restriction himself.

"Everything should be fine now."

Yang Jian nodded, then walked towards the Blood Pool directly.

Very soon.

One of his feet had already stepped into the Blood Pool.

A chilling, incomprehensible feeling erged.

It was as if countless people were desperately drilling into his body, but this sensation was blocked by a more potent supernatural force.

That was the power of the supernatural bus.

Even controlling half of the bus's supernatural force made Yang Jian quite terrifying; the Ghost Blood wouldn't easily corrode him.

"It feels different from last ti. When I contacted it with Ghost Hand last ti, the Blood Pool was still calm..." He recalled the situation when he ca here to cleanse the Ghost Scissors' curse.

It seed that the reaction of supernatural entities and living people to Ghost Blood was different.

But it didn't matter.

Ignoring this feeling, Yang Jian took another step forward, completely sinking into the Blood Pool.

At that mont, he felt as if he had lost control, quickly sinking downwards, and soon he disappeared from sight, entirely subrged in the Blood Pool.

The Blood Pool seed deep, and Yang Jian kept feeling as if he was plumting.

More unsettling than the sensation of sinking was the feeling that countless malicious ghosts surrounded him from all sides, wrapping him tightly and seemingly trying to lt him, turning him into a pool of blood within the Blood Pool.

"Am I lting? My body has lost sensation, and various senses are fading."

Yang Jian quickly realized he was gradually losing all sensory abilities; he could no longer see, hear, or sll, and even his tactile sense vanished, making him unable to perceive any changes or even tell directions.

He was wholly engulfed in silence.

Oddly, though, his consciousness remained clear.

Still, Yang Jian was unsure if over ti, his consciousness would also be corroded and fall into silence. He had no other choice because, even if he regretted it and wanted to leave the Blood Pool now, he couldn't.

He could only wait for the supernatural conflict to end at so point.

And that mont could co quickly, or it might co very slowly.

Just like that, after devouring Yang Jian, the Blood Pool quickly returned to its calm, not stirring a single ripple. Only the red spear standing beside the Blood Pool indicated that Yang Jian indeed ca here and did not mysteriously disappear.

Ti passed by slowly.

Soon, the day ended.

But the next day, the Blood Pool remained calm, with nothing happening.

The third day also passed without any changes in the Blood Pool.

According to Yang Jian's previous state, he could only survive until the second day, because after the second day, he would succumb to a supernatural resurgence.

So, at this point, Yang Jian should be in the state of the supernatural bus's resurgence.

However, on the fourth and fifth days, there was still no change in the Blood Pool, not even a bubble arising.

The only difference was that the Blood Pool got overly quiet, with no abnormalities, a stark contrast to before Yang Jian's arrival, when occasionally supernatural entities would creep out of the Blood Pool and erode the surroundings. Now, such phenona had vanished.

Until the eighth day.

On the nearby highway, a car drove up.

After the vehicle stopped, a young man with withered arms and a gloomy face got out.

He was Li Yang.

He had co following the information left by Yang Jian to investigate.

Since Yang Jian had been missing for several days.

Many people had started following his whereabouts.

Li Yang's gaze fell towards the Blood Pool, eventually resting on the red spear standing next to it, understanding where the captain was.

"Even if the captain's disappearance could be concealed, it wouldn't remain so for long. But if it were spread around, this place might get deliberately disturbed." He fell into deep thought.

Although Yang Jian authorized him to reveal his situation, Li Yang had his own thoughts.

"I believe it's better to keep it under wraps for now. If people from the supernatural circle find out about the captain's supernatural resurgence, subrging in the Blood Pool might cause trouble. Only when the ti is right should this news be disclosed, needing utmost confidentiality, understood only by a small group."

After staying for a little while, observing the calmness, Li Yang decided not to linger and turned to leave by car.

He didn't want to stay longer; instead, he had many responsibilities.

With the captain absent, he had to cover for Yang Jian's nurous duties to stabilize Dachang City's situation.

After Li Yang left, no one visited this place for a long ti.

But with Yang Jian missing for long, many started speculating about his endeavors, yet none guessed the supernatural resurgence.

Because Yang Jian often disappeared inexplicably.

At tis people even doubted if he had died, only for him to later resurface, lively and vigorous, in Shangtong Tower.

After several such incidences, no one genuinely believed that Yang Jian, the ghost-eyed leader of the supernatural circle and Headquarters' Enforcent Captain, would die mysteriously, especially after eliminating the King Organization and handling the Ghost Ship venture; now more than ever, as Yang Jian has beco the top figure in the supernatural circle.

Li Yang wouldn't spill the reality; he rely stated that Yang Jian was handling so personal affairs and would be absent for a while.

No one doubted him.

And Dachang City handled by Li Yang remained uneventful.

But all this was temporary.
