As the car got closer to the destination, Chu Tian’s expression beca increasingly strange.

"Hey, where exactly is your new ho? How did we lose track of it on the road?"

"Oh? Is that so? Let check. It seems Sister Hua set the location at the community entrance, but she sent the exact address as a text ssage." Xu Qingqiu said this as she scrolled through her chat history, quickly finding the specific address.

"It’s this one, Dragon Lake Splendid Jade Pavilion, Number 16."

"What community?"

When Chu Tian heard the na of the community, a layer of cold sweat suddenly appeared on his forehead. This coincidence was too much, right?

"Dragon Lake Splendid Jade Pavilion. What’s wrong? Sister Hua said this community is a newly built villa area, apparently well-managed, and it’s near the airport, convenient for business trips. Do you think this place isn’t good?"

"Ah? No, no, it’s really nice here. I just think the na of the community is quite good."

"Of course, it was carefully selected by the three of us. There are rivers, lakes, and a park here, right next to the National Exhibition on one side and the airport on the other. It should be quite nice."

Chu Tian didn’t speak, just quietly drove the car, his mind a ss.

"Wait a second, Sister Hua ntioned that we need to register at the entrance. If we can’t get in when we arrive, I’ll have to go down and sign so docunts."

Xu Qingqiu was still talking when they suddenly reached the gate. BEEP. The barrier automatically lifted. Chu Tian drove directly into the community.

"Huh? How did you get in? Didn’t you say we needed to register?"

"Uh... Maybe Sister Hua had been here before and had already registered this car."

"Really? I thought their security asures were so careless here. I was just about to ask again, so we wouldn’t be deceived."

Chu Tian secretly wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, silently praising his own cleverness.

He ca in and out every day, so of course his car had been recorded long ago. He just hadn’t expected to nearly get exposed here. Now that they were inside, what was he going to do?

"Which building number was it?"

"16."

Where was Building 16? Chu Tian drove around, but the more he drove, the colder and more numb his hands and feet beca.

He glanced at the building on the left, which bore the number 18, and then looked to the right, where two large digits, ’16’, hung on the wall.

Could it get any more coincidental?

He was going crazy. This bizarre community was one thing, but now they were neighbors!

Although the villas in the community were not aligned neatly but were staggered, Building 16 was right in front of Building 18, separated only by a road and a strip of greenery.

To put it bluntly, the distance was such that they wouldn’t easily disturb each other, but they could easily chat from their balconies.

What now?

Before he could figure it out, the moving company’s truck had already begun unloading things, with Yiyi directing on the side.

Seeing them arrive, she quickly hopped over and waved.

"Sister Qiu, you guys finally made it! Co here and supervise for a bit. Entering with the moving truck involves a lot of procedures, and I need to submit additional docunts for the rental agreent. I have to go take care of that."

"Then you go ahead; we’ll watch things here."

Chu Tian had also parked the car and walked over. He tucked away the car keys while surveying the villa.

Not to ntion, the houses in this community are really nice. Although the exteriors are rather common, the landscaping is quite good.

"Is this house rented?"

"Of course. What else would it be, purchased? Do you know how much just one of these villas costs?"

"How much?" Chu Tian asked knowingly, while helping move things.

"Over twenty million. I wanted to buy this one too, but when I asked, it was over twenty-eight million. Where would I get the money to buy that?" Xu Qingqiu said, pouting as she carried a large rabbit doll beside Chu Tian, her face unable to hide her regret and disappointnt.

A Queen of her stature, having been in the business for so many years, yet still unable to afford a villa—if you said that out loud, no one would believe it.

"Then how much is the rent per year?"

"A year... Let think. It seems to be about forty-five thousand a month, so a little over five hundred thousand a year."

Over five hundred thousand sounded like a lot, but it was actually manageable. Considering the property price, it would take at least fifty years of renting to break even on the house’s cost.

But it couldn’t be calculated like that. Rental prices are generally low, as no one relies on renting out properties to make a profit; most are treated as subsidies. Buying property is mainly for personal use or investnt, while renting is only considered a bit of extra inco.

In this location, rents are generally between thirty thousand to fifty thousand. This community’s prices are higher partly because of its exceptional property managent and security. Xu Qingqiu and the others probably chose this house with that in mind.

After listening, Chu Tian didn’t say much more. He wasn’t in a position to say anything. He was still making installnt paynts on his house; the property was still technically under the company’s na, and he had to pay off all the money within six months. He really didn’t have the confidence to brag.

However, he suddenly felt a renewed drive to earn money. Although he wasn’t wealthy, as a transmigrator, he shouldn’t be struggling so much, should he? Not having the confidence to boast in front of a woman indeed felt a bit deaning.

"Don’t worry, you’ll have it soday. This villa is just so-so. Later, we’ll buy a bigger, more luxurious one!"

"Yeah, that’s what I was thinking~"

The two exchanged smiles, as if they had reached so sort of understanding.

"Chu Tian, why don’t you stay over today? We’re just moving in, and it’s been a long ti since I’ve had your barbecue. There’s a yard here. How about we have a barbecue?"

"Sure, I’m okay with that. But we don’t have the ingredients or equipnt here; I’ll need to go buy so."

"Should I go with you?"

"No need. You and Yiyi tidy up here. I’ll go by myself; I’ll be back soon."

Actually, Chu Tian knew where the nearest market was; after all, he was the real owner. Although he had never bought groceries there, the agent had ntioned it. If it weren’t for the limited selection online, buying groceries online would have been fine too.

Unfortunately, they ended up not having the barbecue. They were still tidying up past one o’clock and hadn’t finished, so they just ordered so takeout to tide them over.

It wasn’t until after five in the afternoon that they finally found ti to get the barbecue started.

"Wow, Brother Tian is about to show his skills again! I can finally have your barbecue again. I wonder if there will be grilled fish this ti?"

Ever since she last had the grilled fish, Yiyi had been unable to forget it; those master-level barbecue skills weren’t for nothing.

"Just eating barbecue won’t do. I heard from Qingqiu that you are very good at cooking. Want to show off your skills? To celebrate our housewarming today?"

"Sure, no problem. Let see what ingredients you have..."

As Yiyi went off to the kitchen to get busy, Xu Qingqiu ca over to Chu Tian’s side at so point, watching him light the fire and fan the flas, her eyes filled with a blissful look.

But before long, her expression turned hesitant. After a mont, she went behind Chu Tian, struggled for a few minutes, and finally couldn’t help but ask:

"Chu Tian..."

"Hmm? What’s up?"

Chu Tian, oblivious, continued fanning the stove, occasionally adjusting the charcoal.

"You... you’re Young, aren’t you?"
