Learning on the go by assisting Wei Liangxiao with various tasks was invaluable. Participating in such a major project offered imnse benefits; even if they moved on in the future, this experience would be one of the most impressive entries on their résumés. As a result, everyone was deeply grateful to President Chu, their ultimate boss.

"Alright, I understand. Bring the mask. Keep a close eye on everything else and give updates as needed."

To avoid revealing his identity, Chu Tian had also acquired a mask. After all, he occasionally needed to manage things on-site, and if any unexpected issues arose, he would have to be the one to resolve them. A mask was therefore essential to prevent his identity from being compromised.

"Alright, President Chu."

Shortly after, soone delivered a black, full-face mask. Paired with Chu Tian’s black suit, he was practically invisible in the shadows, let alone recognizable.

He carefully put away the docunts he was holding. There were only two copies of these files—one for him and one for Wei Liangxiao—and they contained everyone’s real information. Losing them would an serious trouble.

The director’s office, filled with monitors, was next to the production control room. Adjacent to it, a large one-way mirror offered a view of the entire stage.

Wei Liangxiao was inside, watching the monitors and directing the proceedings via a walkie-talkie.

Chu Tian didn’t disturb him, instead following the corridor to the backstage area.

The contestant lounges were completely separate, located in different zones, and the routes to and from the stage were entirely distinct. These arrangents had all been rehearsed multiple tis. After a final check, Chu Tian confird everything was in order.

Ti ticked by. All the Singers had arrived, and the audience began to enter the venue.

Chu Tian happened to stroll over to Lounge No. 3. A sign on the door read: "[Even One More Bite Won’t Make You Fat]."

He gave a wry, speechless smile; he’d initially thought they were joking about the na, but it turned out they were serious.

"Welco, everyone, to the world’s first masked singing competition, ’King of Mask Singer’! In this show, we focus solely on Singing Skills, not appearances! Let music return to its essence, let voices be pure once more!"

"Hello everyone! This is Season One, Episode One of ’King of Mask Singer’!"

"Now, allow to introduce the rules of the show..."

"This season features six starting Singers. First, let introduce our first Singer: she is the lonely stargazer who gives voice to her dreams, [Highland Antelope]!"

"Our second Singer, a musical wayfarer forging a path to their dreams with purity, [Jasmine Flower]!"

When the first Singer was introduced, the audience clapped enthusiastically. However, when the second Singer’s na and tagline were announced, the audience was stunned for a mont before erupting with excitent, because the na was incredibly suggestive.

"Is that Xu Qingqiu?"

"Ahh! President Xu?! President Xu is participating too?"

"Holy crap! For real? Isn’t that a dead giveaway?"

"Who knows? Maybe she *wants* to be revealed."

"This is way too obvious, isn’t it? Since when did Xu Qingqiu beco so calculating?"

Seeing the commotion below the stage, the host struggled for a mont to regain control before finally continuing with the introductions.

"Our third Singer! She’s an optimist leisurely swimming in the ocean of music, a delightful character who simply enjoys lodies. She is [Even One More Bite Won’t Make You Fat]!"

However, as he finished announcing this na, an eerie silence fell over the audience.

"Hold on!"

"W-what? What na was that?"

"Holy hell! What kind of crazy na is *that*?"

"Hahaha, that’s hilarious! ’[Even One More Bite Won’t Make You Fat]’?"

"Damn it, I’m truly floored by this joker! Who on earth ca up with that na? Do they *have* to be so outrageous?"
