The blue and red flas collided against each other, tearing apart at the other’s foundational principles that intertwined and interlocked, making these flas what they were.
As Anon channeled stellar cosmic energy into the magic pillar without restraint, the magical ability of the pillar was amplified greatly, strengthening the red flas. Because of this, the attention of the one-winged monkeys were all honed in on Anon.
By the ti Seth had passed through the debris which had not gotten chance to settle, the group of one-winged monkeys began falling like flies, as blood sprayed into the surroundings.
The pair’s movents did not stop for a mont. Instead, they hurriedly reached their highest speeds, crossing the distance between this group and the second group of one-winged monkeys in the blink of an eye.
Previously, it had taken them around a hundred steps to cross the distance between two groups of monkeys within this path, but now, in less than ten steps they had already found themselves confronting the second group.
The duo held nothing back, slaying eight blue-eyed, one-winged monkeys in a single breath’s worth of ti.
As he appeared before the third group of monkeys, Anon twirled the magic pillar in his hand with familiarity.
Under his observation, the movents of the one-winged monkeys appeared sluggish as he manipulated the magic pillar in his grasp and blocked one of the monkey’s claws before striking his weapon deep into the monkey’s abdon.
Coughing blood, it was sent hurling back to where it ca from, simultaneously crashing into another monkey.
Picked up by the force, the two monkeys slamd into the cave’s walls, causing rubble to explode into the vicinity and for a crater to form on the wall.
Their bodies were imdiately reduced to horrific states from the force of the collision. On the other hand, the duo paid them no heed, focusing their murderous intent towards the other one-winged monkeys.
It was quite fast!
Seth and Anon’s attacks were efficient and there was little wasted movents.
With a sea of monkeys on their tails, they could not afford to be held back by these "guards."
Not long after, they appeared close to the entrance of the main base.
Due to the current situation, they would’ve already been perceived by the monkeys outside.
This could not be helped.
And even if they used the clear heart crystals, almost imdiately after, its effects would be rendered useless due to the aura of the beast king.
They had no choice but to confront the thousands of monkeys outside if they wished to escape.
’It’s a certainty that they’re waiting to surround us outside.’ Anon thought.
He then glanced at Seth as the latter’s gaze t with his.
’We just need to ti this correctly!’ Anon exclaid inwardly.
It was all about timing.
Since they were close to the entrance of the base within the mountain, the light from the outside world was only several ters away.
A boundary had ford where, on one side was the darkness of the mountain’s interior, and on the other was the light of the outside world.
Since they weren’t limiting their auras, the blue flas that had latched onto their skin had been ridded off, so even though the monkeys in the outside world could sense how close Anon and Seth were, they could not properly see them in the darkness.
After all, the auras of living creatures weren’t exactly physical properties.
Seven ters... five ters... three ters...
Just as their feet landed right before the boundary between light and dark, a clear heart crystal each shattered in their palms.
For a fraction of a mont after they stepped into the light, the monkeys waiting outside could not sense nor see them.
Behind an invisible veil, the wind grew chaotic as Anon and Seth exploded with their maximum speeds and shot into the skies, brushing past the one-winged monkeys in the process.
Right then, the clear heart crystal’s effects was rendered useless by a sparkling blue fla that almost instantaneously devoured the invisible veil.
At the sa ti, the one-winged monkeys from within the mountain sward out with pure rage, rushing into the sea of monkeys that were eagerly waiting outside.
There was a short instance where utter chaos reigned.
Using that tifra, the duo desperately separated themselves from the majority of one-winged monkeys!
With the sheer volu of monkeys, it made no sense splitting up.
High in the skies, although they had been exposed by the blue flas, they had succeeded in bypassing the initial encirclent.
However, there were still hundreds of one-winged monkeys in their vicinity, rushing towards them from all corners!
Thousands more would swarm down on them if they slowed down even slightly!
But before the pair of geniuses t with the swarm of monkeys, a gargantuan amount of stellar cosmic energy was drawn from all corners of the world...
"Victory Manifested!"
Anon had a grim expression when he shouted these words.
The previously dark skies lit up brightly as clouds dispersed and a golden pillar that seemingly stretched across the heavens took shape.
Once it appeared, the subconscious of these one-winged monkeys desperately scread danger in warning, but no matter how fast they were alerted by said subconscious, such a magical attack reached its targets almost imdiately upon materializing.
Their physical bodies were too slow to react.
Before the swarm of one-winged monkeys could reach within touching distance of the two, a path beyond this second encirclent had already been established.
And the two did not hesitate to utilize this path as soon as it ford.
Just like this...
Although the one-winged monkeys made several attempts at encircling them, all of their attempts were swiftly neutralized before they properly form.
Anon and Seth both knew that the mont they were surrounded, their situation would take a dark turn. They unhesitatingly poured out all of their strength into wide-ranged magical attacks, even if it ant straining their spirits.
So, as a swarm of one-winged monkeys closed in on them, Seth made his move.
The sound of flowing water soon followed.
"Blood River!"
As these words fell, and the tantalizing scene of a river of blood maneuvering through the sky appeared, it washed over the bodies of countless one-winged monkeys.
At first, the river flowing through the clouds almost seed harmless, but the world within the river grew chaotic, and vicious energies collided with each other, exploding upon impact.
The one-winged monkeys caught within had nurous wounds forming across their bodies. And before long, the blood from within their fleshy bodies was forcefully sucked out.
From its appearance, to the ti it disappeared, the blood river could be said to’ve materialized for only a fleeting mont, and yet, tens of one-winged monkeys were reduced to dried bags of bones, descending from the sky.
...
The passage of ti was ever flowing.
Although, to Anon, it felt as if ti had stopped, after a while, they had forged their way out of another encirclent!
In front of them was clear skies, and yet, the urgency in their actions hadn’t disappeared. Not far behind them, the swarm of one-winged monkeys had reached to an incalculable stage.
At least, to the naked eye, it appeared like an endless sea that carried infinite might and murderous intent. There was a thick, dark crimson aura palpating throughout the environnt, along with the sounds of howling beasts and wrathful roars!
Encompassing the pair of stellar fighters, and the area around them, was a golden aura that lit up the sky.
For a hundred ters and so, this golden aura, Anon’s ability, "Cursed Ground!", had been activated.
Expanding from Anon’s worldly flesh, this ability continuously encompassed the duo as they attempted to distance themselves from the beast horde.
Though its na, "Cursed Ground," implied one thing, upon surpassing the first layer of the second world, it was naturally not limited to the ground. Much less now that he had entered the third.
And within the confines of his ability, even as the monkeys launched waves of flaming attacks, or closed the distance between the two, at the very least, Anon was able to seamlessly evade their magical attacks, or safely escape the claws of these beasts.
On the other hand, particles of blood flew through the air as Seth expressionlessly defended against the one-winged monkeys’ attacks.
"These dumb beasts." Seth shook his head and sighed out loud. "Do they not perceive how useless this is?" He said with a frowning expression.
Once bypassing their layers of encirclent, the one-winged monkeys had beco less of a threat to Anon and Seth.
But at the sa ti, to prevent a situation where they were encircled again, they were forced to fly deeper into the jungle, and possibly beyond Blood Drip Jungle’s territory.
In fact, the Core City was in the completely opposite direction that they were flying towards.
Although the swarm of one-winged monkeys behind them served little danger as they were, their relentlessness forced the duo to continue forward.
But the longer this played out, the more dangerous it would beco.
The chances of crossing paths with a truly powerful creature, or creatures for that matter, continuously skyrocketed the further they were forced to go.
"Hmm?" Seth brows suddenly knitted as he sensed another wave of attacks from behind.
As the feathers attached to the wings of these one-winged monkeys detached and hardened into razor sharp blades that raced through the sky, due to Anon’s ability constantly at use, the path these blades took were subtly offset and instead began approaching Seth.
In the blink of an eye, a tower of blood was constructed in the air around his body, easily blocking the incoming feathers, and once again rendering the attacks of these one-winged monkeys ineffective.
As the tower of blood deconstructed, it transford into a flowing river that rushed towards the incoming wave of beasts, causing those that were on course for a head on collision to slow down considerably.
Yet, before it could co in contact with them, the blood river dissipated into crimson lights, enraging these one-winged monkeys in the process.
On the other hand, the gap between the beasts and the duo had increased ever so slightly.
