The selection process was in. Deathholder was quietly awaiting the results. Has he waiting, his son ca in to visit him.

"Greetings father, I have co to ask for advice."

Deathholder straightened up just a little. He looked towards the door to see it slightly cracked opened.

"My senses are starting to go out on ." Deathholder thought.

He thought back to when his father told him it was nonsense to think that senses would go out. His father died before his senses could completely go out. Now, he hoped that his son could live longer than he did and experience more to life.

"Son, there is so advice that you do need to take to heart. I do not know if it belongs to us. Or if this belongs to everyone in the Fifth Realm. So I want you to listen carefully."

The son bowed and looked at his father. His eyes showing the gratitude that his son was giving.

"My ti here is coming. My senses have gone out on once and they are starting to again. I pray to the Goddesses that you yourself will not experience this pain. It is indeed a tragic experience to feel this. When your senses start going out, your first life will be going away. I do not an the second or first ti. I an both tis your senses will start to go out on you. It is a terrible feeling to feel and it could also be because I have not experienced enough of life that my senses have gone out on .

For that, I truly wish. I want you to rember these things about your senses. Not only do they make you stronger during battles but also daily life. Changing basic needs of the baby, to straightening up the house and killing vermin inside, to the ti you are ready for a second or hundredth wife. Your senses will tell you all that you need to know."

The son took his father's words into account. He wanted to even write them down to secure his father is one of the greatest family leaders for the Deathholder's.

"I wanted to know the chances of myself getting into the Soul Temple, father. I know that I am too old to enter but that does not an that I do not want to experience the life of a Mortal. I want to see and feel what they do." The son spoke.

"I have a few favors to call upon. This will not be just a natural chance you can win. This chance will be one that will either lead you to greatness or lead you down a path of treachery. How this affects you is not your decisions or the won whom you may bring up. How the others see that you power through the Soul Temple." Deathholder told his son.

His son could not comprehend what his father told him. Going through trials makes one stronger, gaining strength makes one stronger, gaining husbands or wives gains one strength, but how could this lead him to treachery through other eyes?

"Father, I do not understand."

"My son, you will have to learn this yourself. For I cannot teach you nor can I make an expection for a teacher to explain it to you. The Soul Temple is not just about oneself it is about you and your family. Right now, you are not married. You also do have an engagent. Talk with it to her and see what the two of you will do." Deathholder spoke.

"My father, one more piece of advice please." The son asked.

"Go on."

"I believe that the woman whom I am engaged to is both beautiful and cunning. How can I secure her to not cunn out of my position?"

"That my dear son." Deathholder stopped to think of his words, "is sothing that you have to talk with her about. So won are indeed beautiful and cunning. They cunn others for your benefit but they can also cunn you out and have you killed.

I do not believe that you are truly naive to believe that people here in the Fifth Realm are stupid enough to attack this family. I will not say that we are about to waiver greatly when I die. To ensure that you do not lose your footing. I will give you specific instructions to lead the family for six months. After that, you will be on your own."

The son raised up and bowed. He quietly exited has he had entered.

"Your senses are going out?" Peacock asked.

"I do not know now. I felt you clearly. Yet, I never once heard or felt my son." Deathholder spoke.

"Is it perhaps due to your acknowledgent of your son?" Peacock asked.

"He is truly naive in the sense that he wants to reassure that I won't die before he is ready. I am sure that he knows as well that he have the hardest ti in feeling in my shoes."

"What if we support him to help him?" Peacock asked.

"That may be for the best up front. What if the backfire cos and you all get more bla than you all deserve? What if sothing major happens and he has no idea what to do? I am not saying these questions for him but for you as well. What are the answers then?"

Peacock knew that Deathholder always thought multiple steps ahead in front of everyone. Even when people object, he already had plans to subjectate the outliners.

"Nevermind. Here is a list of everyone whom we believe can enter the Soul Temple." Peacock handed him a paper.

"Out of 500 only 75 could apply. This does make things interesting. Did my son put his application in?" Deathholder asked.

"He did not."

"Good. Add him as a 76th participant. This way I do not have to call in favors for him. He can prove himself worthy as a person who can enter the Soul Temple. We will start with three Royal Matches with 25, 25, and 26 people. Make sure that the rankings go into affect judging the participants. Use their highest and lowest ranking over the course of 5 years. That way it is more easily equal when we decide to hold the matches. Only three will advance. Since we will have nine more participants to evaluate.

We will shorten the list due to the greatest number of non participants in the battle. This will give us a better finale for the people entering the Soul Temple." Deathholder spoke.

Peacock nodded and headed out. She smiled as she heard that Deathholder's son needed to enter.

"Things just got interesting."
