As Damon approached Kyra’s room, he paused outside the door, listening to the conversation within.

"We can’t go back currently. Kyra needs rest. Is there any empty house for us?" Lucas asked, concern evident in his voice.

"We’ll ask the healer tomorrow," Vinecnt replied, sounding both practical and slightly irritated.

Kyra spoke up, her voice still weak, "Why are you worried? We can stay at Damon’s house. And I also have a space capsule."

"No," Vinecnt and Lucas said in unison.

"What about this little guy, eko?" Lucas asked, glancing at the small child sitting next to him, who was curiously watching him.

"Do you think I look so handso that you keep staring at ?" Lucas asked with a raised brow and a proud smirk.

Vinecnt leaned against the wall, observing eko, who looked up at Lucas and blushed.

"Yes—yes! So handso!" eko responded shyly.

Lucas, surprised by the complint, felt his cheeks flush red. He looked away, slightly embarrassed.

Damon, standing outside he took a deep breath, composed himself, and then pushed the door open.

The warm room offered a contrast to the cold night outside.

They look like family.

Lucas, Vinecnt, and eko looked up as Damon entered. Kyra, propped up in bed, gave Damon a weak but grateful smile.

"Sorry to interrupt," Damon said, trying to keep his tone neutral. "I brought so food for little thing." He placed the bowl on a nearby table.

Kyra looked at Damon with appreciation. "Thank you, Damon."

Lucas gave Damon a quick, assessing glance but said nothing, turning back to eko.

Vinecnt, still leaning against the wall, watched Damon with a guarded expression. The atmosphere was thick with unspoken emotions and tension.

Damon nodded curtly. "I’ll leave you to it. If you need anything else, just let know." With that, he turned and walked out, feeling a tightness in his chest as he went.

Kyra’s gaze followed Damon as he turned to leave. Seeing his lonely back, she felt a pang of sadness in her chest. "Wait—Damon," she called out.

Damon stopped and turned, his eyes lighting up with hope. "Little thing..." he said, his voice softening.

Vinecnt and Lucas exchanged shocked glances, their expressions reflecting their surprise at Kyra’s request.

"Please stay. Thank you for preparing the food for ," Kyra said, her eyes eting Damon’s with sincerity. "The healer has made arrangents for us to eat, so please..."

Damon’s face softened, a hint of relief washing over him. He nodded, stepping back into the room. "Alright, if you insist," he said with a faint smile, his earlier tension easing.

Vinecnt clenched his fist, his knuckles turning white. He understood why Kyra felt sad seeing Damon leave; it was clear to him that her emotions were genuine and conflicted. If he didn’t understand that, he would be a fool.

Vinecnt’s gaze hardened as he struggled to mask his growing anger.

His thoughts churned with a sense of possessiveness and frustration, but he knew that outward displays of anger wouldn’t help his cause. Instead, he forced himself to remain composed, even as his heart burned with conflicting emotions.

Lucas watched in shock as Damon sat on the edge of Kyra’s bed, taking her hand in his and Kyra’s smile toward Damon was a clear sign of her lingering affection.

For Lucas, the sight was a painful jolt. It felt like a dagger to his heart, seeing the female he loved showing warmth and gratitude towards soone else.

The emotional blow hit Lucas hard. He was used to Vinecnt and considered him part of his family, but seeing Kyra with Damon was a different kind of pain.

Lucas could handle Vinecnt’s presence, but the idea of Kyra being close to soone else hurt deeply.

He couldn’t bear the thought of losing her to another male.

"Damon, have you inquired about eko’s daddy?" Kyra inquired softly.

Damon shook his head. "No."

At that mont, eko’s eyes welled up with tears. "Daddy, wahhhhhh!" he cried out, his little voice breaking as he sobbed loudly. The mory of his father hit him hard, and his emotions overwheld him.

Lucas, sitting next to eko, quickly scooped him up into his arms, trying to soothe him. He rocked him gently but found that eko’s cries continued unabated.

In a bid to distract him, Lucas made funny faces, sticking out his tongue and crossing his eyes. "Look, eko! I’m a silly goose!" he said, but eko was too upset to notice.

Vinecnt, not accustod to dealing with crying children, tried his best to help. He awkwardly patted eko on the back, mumbling unintelligible words. "Uh, there, there. It’s... um, going to be okay?

Toma was sensible and rarely cried. The last ti he saw him cry was when Kyra ca to the castle, wanting to beco her mate, but was considered too young by Kyra and ran back to him in tears.

Damon, feeling a surge of empathy, took eko from Lucas and began to cradle him, rocking him back and forth. He whispered softly, "Shh, little guy. It’s okay." He tried to make soothing sounds, but the situation felt sowhat chaotic with everyone trying to help.

Kyra, observing the scene from her bed, decided to intervene. "Give eko to ," she said firmly.

Damon carefully handed eko over to Kyra. She gently cradled the small, sobbing boy in her arms and began to pat his back soothingly. "Shh, eko. It’s going to be alright. I know you miss your daddy, and he must be very sad to hear you cry."

Kyra continued to comfort him, her voice soft and reassuring. "I’ll help you find your daddy. We’ll make sure he knows how much you miss him. And after we eat, I’ll show you sothing special that might make you feel better, okay?"

eko’s cries gradually subsided as he listened to Kyra’s comforting words. He looked up at her with teary eyes, finding so comfart in her embrace and her promise of sothing interesting to co.

As Kyra gently rocked eko and whispered comforting words, Vinecnt, Lucas, and Damon sighed in relief. The room seed to settle into a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere.

As Kyra continued to soothe eko, he gradually cald down. His little arms reached around her neck, hugging her tightly. With his small fingers, he began to play with her hair, gently twisting and pulling at the strands.

His tiny fingers wove through her locks, finding comfort in the soft texture.
