However, Damon was surprised to see that this female knew how to cook. He watched her as she moved around the kitchen, her delicate profile illuminated by the warm glow of the fire.

Kyra noticed his gaze and looked up. "What?" she asked, smiling slightly.

"Nothing," Damon replied, shaking his head with a small smile. "Just surprised, that’s all."

"Surprised by what?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"That you can cook," he said, leaning back against the wall as he looked at the earthy stove where the food was cooking. "It’s not sothing I expected."

Kyra laughed softly. "Well, I guess I can surprise you then."

Damon nodded, his expression thoughtful. "You certainly do, little thing."

After cooking and eating, and ensuring Kyra took her dicine, Damon looked at her face and smiled weirdly.

"Why are you looking at like that?" she asked, feeling goosebumps forming on her arms.

"Rember I told you that you have to do sothing for , and in return, I’ll help you find your mates." he said, his gaze fixed on her.

"Yes." Kyra replied, straightening her back as she t his eyes.

Seeing her curiosity, he said, "I’ll tell you later," and Kyra made a face.

She wasn’t curious at all! Who wants to know? she thought, glaring at his back as he started climbing the stairs.

"Stop glaring at , little thing, and follow upstairs." he said without looking back.

Kyra stared at his back, shocked, wondering if he had eyes in the back of his head.

Finally, reluctantly, she followed him back and saw him lying on the bed. She didn’t want to sleep next to him at all.

"Little thing, co here and sleep with ," he said in his deep voice. "This house doesn’t have an extra room or bed, so don’t think about sleeping separately."

Kyra reluctantly lay down on the other side, maintaining as much distance as possible.

Kyra lay down, feeling the warmth of the bed. Damon turned his head slightly. "You don’t have to be so far away." he said, his voice softer than usual.

She hesitated but inched a bit closer, her heart pounding. Damon’s gaze softened as he watched her. "You look even more beautiful up close," he murmured, a rare gentle smile crossing his lips.

Kyra blushed, feeling her cheeks heat up. "Thank you," she whispered, avoiding his eyes. Damon reached out and gently tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, his touch surprisingly tender.

She gently shook off his hands and t his gaze, noticing a flash in his eyes as he withdrew.

The interior of the cottage was dimly lit, each room ward by a crackling fireplace casting dancing shadows on the wooden walls.

"You don’t have light balls in your houses?" she asked, curious.

"We do, but I haven’t bothered with them. With my night vision, I never found the need. Most females prefer them, though," he explained. "You don’t have night vision, do you?" he asked.

"I do," Kyra replied simply.

His eyebrows lifted in surprise. "What’s your Beast form?" he inquired further.

"I’m a Frostlyn," Kyra answered. After a mont of silence, he spoke again.

"I’ve never heard of that type of Beast," Damon admitted.

"The world is vast; not everyone knows every Beast," Kyra replied calmly.

Damon looked at her face and replied, "That’s true." as he gazed up at the ceiling.

Six months of continuous snowfall always blankets the land and before winter’s arrival, most beasts had stocked up on food supplies. The unpredictable weather brought snowstorms, heavy rains, and biting cold, but they were accustod to such challenges. Many spent their days huddled indoors, seeking warmth and comfort.

Damon glanced at Kyra; she had already fallen asleep, wrapped snugly in a thick blanket. She looked delicate in the flickering firelight, her long lashes casting shadows on her cheeks. Gently, he pulled her closer, his strong arms enveloping her small fra, offering her the warmth of his body.

As he held her body close to him, he felt sothing stir in his heart. However, he ignored those feelings as he fell asleep next to her.

Kyra woke up feeling damp between her legs, sticky and uncomfortable. Her stomach ached as she took a deep breath, trying to sit up. Her legs were tangled with Damon’s, his large hands resting on her stomach, and his head weight pressing against her chest.

Shocked, she tried to gently move his head off her chest and onto the pillow beside her. As she did, she felt a slight pain there.

"Damon? Damon..." she called softly, her hands trembling. Suddenly, she felt sothing wet and sticky slide down her private parts.

"Damon, wake up," she whispered urgently, shaking his shoulder. His eyes slowly fluttered open, confusion crossing his face as he looked at her.

"What is it?" he murmured, still groggy from sleep.

"Can you move your body from mine?" she said, Damon beca more awake as he realized their sleeping position. Suddenly, his breath hitched, and a rush of warmth surged through him. His eyes hooded slightly.

However, he removed his body from hers.

The intoxicating scent coming from her overwheld his senses, and he struggled to maintain control. His heartbeat quickened, and he felt a primal urge awakening within him.

Kyra quickly climbed off the bed and hurried towards the bathroom. She checked her skirt and froze in horror at the sight of blood on her legs.

"Periods?" she whispered to herself, her eyes wide with shock. This was the mont she had been waiting for her entire life, and it had co at the most unexpected ti.

Turning on the faucet, she panicked when no water ca out. She had no spare clothes, no tampons, no pads—everything she needed was in her original ho, not here in the space capsule.

Kyra hesitated, knowing that if she wore her space clothes, Damon would definitely beco suspicious.

Feeling embarrassed and with no other options, she nervously called out, "Damon?"

She heard him groan softly. "Hmm... Little thing, what’s wrong?"

"I... I don’t have any clothes." she stamred.

"Got it! I’ll find you sothing." he replied, already getting up to help.

"Wai—"

"Yeah, little thing?" His voice was deep and husky, but in her stress, Kyra didn’t notice.

"I... I have my periods.." she finally managed to say.
