-----Vexsus POV-----
I hung my head down when I heard the voice of the guy who had for the past year been the sole reason for my torture. Day in and Day out I have been fighting against multiple different experints of his, so were just mutated ants, but others were creatures that he had gotten from sowhere and turned into abominations.
One ti was one of the first red goblins that successfully traveled all the way to where Diggers base is. He was instantly captured and as Digger put it he 'rewarded' him with by turning the goblin into a huge red skinned ogre like monstrosity..... Ofcourse I had to fight him and after what seed like a day of pure fighting and almost dying several tis, I finally won and ate it. I gained quite a bit from all the als but the problem was that ever since that explosion a year ago, my system has been inactive, even my dual mind had left , it woke up one day out of the blue but after saying sothing that I could barely comprehend it quieted back down.
After that day that seed so long ago I stopped having any feeling in my back, well I should say I didn't up until recently when I evolved into an young adult dragon. My dragonoid body disappeared and in its place was this huge body that ca with wings. They aren't very useful since I am underground but every night I have so of my children lay on them and I lift them up to make sure the muscles don't atrophy.
..... OH YEA by the way I'm a daddy again haha, yea I have... ugh I don't know like over 300 kids now.... Unfortunately they are the hybrid results of and the queen ant. Digger had taken advantage of her being weakened and when I was in my feral state. I still feel so bad about what I did to her, even if I wasn't there ntally it was still that did it.
Anyways.... after they were hatched from the eggs I discovered that not all of them were successfully hybridized. over a thousand of the hatchlings were born with horrible mutations that they simply couldn't survive. After I beca clear headed again and was told this I felt so bad about what I did aswell as the death of all my children. Even if they were created from such a horrendous event I still was going to cherish them. I had to make up for what I did but it looked like the queen was disgusted by and her children, she even stopped producing the ants like she used to. I couldn't bla her but I also couldn't force her to be there and be reminded of what happened, So I took sole responsibility and every ti I was lucid I would train and care for the surviving ones. I nad the strongest of the bunch only because I didn't have enough ti nor the brain power to na and rember the rest.
I had my first one nad MIchael, He was the one that I taught the most because even from a hatchling he showed the most resiliency, next was Grayson, my 2nd son, he has a fiery disposition and was the 1st in line to inherit the dragon like aspects of my bloodline. He beca just as strong as Michael in such a short ti that I was amazed. Then the 3rd strongest is my daughter, Adalinda, She isn't as strong as the other 2 but man oh man is she smart. She learned to speak almost the sa day I started teaching them. She also was able to comprehend more magic than I had before becoming a slave. I was so proud of them all and even when I started feeling the animalistic side of start taking over I knew they were able to rely on themselves in my absence.
But enough of the reminiscing, ti to get back to the present.
"Digger, they were just leaving don't get any bright ideas." I said as I turned my head to look behind .
There standing just a few feet away from was Digger, except after a year he had used my blood and pieces of my body to perfect his decaying form, and turn into a successful chira of sorts. He still had a humanoid shape, but he looked more like an elf than anything, his face looked like a young man that was barely past his 20's, his body was built like Olympic athlete with lean muscles and a slender body that was built for speed. He exuded an aura of power that until I evolved was even overpowering to .
I was still obeying him only because after that explosion I barely survived but he had co out of it almost flawless, the most damaged part of him was that he had a piece of stone that was lodged into his shoulder but that was it, I still don't know how he ca away from that blast with such little damage but few days after that incident he drugged and used so kind of blood sealant skill on that actually turned into his slave, if I don't obey him then the seal will activate and cause unbelievable pain.... Trust I tried already.
"Now now Vexsus, Don't think you have any power over , rember what happened last ti you disobeyed ." Digger said before snapping his fingers and a piercing pain rocketed through my whole body.
"AGHHHH" was the only sound that I could make as it felt like a million knives carved their way through .
"DIGGER STOP THIS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO VEXSUS!" Sondar yelled as he charged at Digger while wielding his axe. He swung down but Digger didn't even dodge as he lazily moved his hand to block it.
But he was soon wide eyed as the axe suddenly sharpened itself through Sondars magic and sliced clean through his hand and stopped after splitting his arm in two.
"Oh you pathetic fool, You'll pay for that." Digger muttered angrily as he ripped his arm away from the axe and in the next second the group was shocked as his arm visibly regenerated.
"I now have the blood of multiple creatures coursing through my veins, one of which is the blood of a troll and through that blood I gained the power of super regeneration, You fools can harm all you want but I will always co back." He said as he started to laugh before waving his hand and out of the ground co mini stone ants made of the unrefined magic crystals.
They then quickly storm and jump all over the others, so of them were destroyed but in the end the ants latched on and started leeching away their power. I could only grit my teeth in pain and watch as my friends and family suffered.
"Digger.... Stop... This... Now.." I was able to say through clenched jaws.
He looked at for a second before sighing and waving his hands again. "I was only testing them Vexsus, You don't have to look at like that." He snapped his fingers again and instantly the pain vanished and I was left panting for air.
He looked down at my children and smiled. "As for you children, It looks like its about ti for play ti with uncle Digger. If you don't co with then I'll just have to take it out on your siblings instead, but who knows what could happen if they aren't strong enough. You know uncle likes to play rough." He laughs before walking off towards a stone door that was etched in blue glowing runes.
Sondar gets back up from the floor and runs over to as well as the others around .
"Vexsus... What is going on here, explain how that bastard has such command over you and how he beca so powerful."
I could only look at him but before I could speak I was slamd into by 3 girls, 2 were goblin sisters and 1 was a human child.
"MASTER YOUR ALIVE, THANK THE GODS WE MISSED YOU SO MUCH." Tinoa cried as she held onto one of my legs, Vinoa her sister held onto the other one and was bawling aswell. I looked down and barely holding onto my neck with her tiny hands was Hannah, She was crying while looking up at .
"Vexsus, you promised to protect , I ca so that you could fulfill that promise." She said while sniffling.
At that mont all the mories of that day ca crashing back into my mind like a fast paced movie played at 100x.
"Honey I'm sorry, I couldn't escape by myself and when I had grown strong enough to do so, Digger had already cursed , I also had beco a father to these young ones, I wish I could've kept my promise but the way things are here I just couldn't. Can you please forgive this foolish dragon." I said as I nuzzled her body with my snout. I was barely able to fit in the tunnels anymore and I was slowly expanding the tunnels to allow for my body to move as comfortable as possible.
After I apologized to Hannah I looked up to see a familiar face that I hoped to see again. Tears started forming in my eyes as a fox beastwoman started walking up to .
"Hello Vexsus, long ti no see." She said as she rubbed her hand against my cheek.
"Kitsoma, I thought I lost you back then. I tried... I tried to help you I really did." I said as a tear escaped and soaked her hand.
"Oh, you silly dragon. I was there that day, I saw everything you did." She muttered before looking down. "I even saw the explosion and what it did to you."
She looked back up but this ti she was crying and then she hugged my snout as best she could and cried onto my scales. "I'm so sorry for what you had to endure this whole ti, I wish I could have co and rescued you sooner. I wanted to help but along the way I... I lost my confidence, I doubted myself to the point where I felt that I was useless."
"Kitsoma.... Everyone, You an so much to , I am so happy to see you all again... But I'm afraid this can't last, You all have to escape and get away from here as fast as you can. Digger has beco soone that can easily overpower you all, I tried to fight him but with his power over my blood combined with his perfected body.... I lost horribly and lost a huge portion of my tail as a consequence." I then waved my stub of a tail to further prove what I said was true.
"He is planning sothing awful for you guys, but I won't allow it. I will do everything in my power to block him from doing so.... But in return I ask just one thing."
Sondar looked at with concern in his eyes but ultimately nodded and spoke. "Anything brother, Just say what you want and I'll do my best to make it a reality."
I smiled and nodded back.. "I need you to rescue my children and take them away from here."
