Jing Haohao’s mind was a whirlwind of chaotic thoughts. She remained silent, frozen in her spot on the couch.
“Haohao? Haohao?”
Jing Haohao snapped back to reality, looking directly at Xian’er with her mischievous grin. For so inexplicable reason, Jing Haohao felt a surge of guilt in her heart. Panicked, she stood up from her seat and muttered, “I’m going to the restroom.”
And quickly departed.
Upon entering the restroom, Jing Haohao dashed into a stall, locked the door, sat on the toilet, and started gasping for breath.
Then she reminded herself over and over again, “Calm down, calm down!”
Jing Haohao closed her eyes and replayed her recollections with Liang Chen over the recent period. Afterward, she tried to convince herself that she only found Liang Chen easy to talk to, and that there was no chance for a relationship between them. After all, they had divorced within one day of their marriage, and his brother even gave her a check to convince her to leave. Their relationship was simply impossible!
They always say it’s impossible to be friends with your ex-lovers, but she and Liang Chen had never been in love. They were just friends…
Jing Haohao repeated these reassurances in her mind for a long ti before she finally regained her composure.

As Jing Haohao exited the stall and approached the sink to wash her hands, an all-too-familiar figure appeared in front of her.
Jing Haohao thought, “How unlucky. I run into Qiao Wennuan even here?”
Jing Haohao instinctively tried to turn around and retreat back to the stall when the woman looking in the mirror lifted her eyelid. Their gazes t through the mirror.
The mont Qiao Wennuan saw Jing Haohao, she froze for a good ten seconds before coming back to her senses. Then she turned sideways, looked at Jing Haohao and called out, “Jing Haohao.”
Jing Haohao had never liked Qiao Wennuan. However, they worked at the sa company, so they never actually fell out. She always pretended to be indifferent towards her, but when she discovered that Qiao Wennuan had been creeping around with Shen Liangnian behind her back for two years, Jing Haohao couldn’t even muster the energy to pretend anymore.
That night when she went to dine on Nanjing cuisine with Liang Chen, she ran into a director nad Sun Yan. From his conversation, she learned that she had been drugged that one night and ended up in Liang Chen’s room.
She initially suspected Qiao Wennuan to be behind it, and by the ti she finished her conversation with Sun Yan, she was certain it was her.
Now that she had unexpectedly run into Qiao Wennuan, Jing Haohao’s face turned cold instantly. While Qiao Wennuan addressed her directly, Jing Haohao made no attempt to respond.
Qiao Wennuan didn’t seem to care whether Jing Haohao would respond or not. She simply strolled leisurely over to Jing Haohao and bluntly asked, “Jing Haohao, is Shen Liangnian with you now?”
Jing Haohao smirked and thought to herself that she hadn’t actually used the restroom, so she decided against washing her hands. She turned around and walked away.
