Jing Haohao tapped on her cell phone a couple of tis, lifted her head, and answered Xian’er with a “hmm?”, asking, “Xian’er, what did you say to ?”
Xian’er rolled her eyes in frustration, then her expression turned serious, she looked Jing Haohao up and down, and said, “Haohao, you seem to have been in a good mood recently.”
Compared to when she had just returned from abroad, her complexion had improved significantly and there was an undeniable gleam of joy in her eyes, as if she had encountered sothing delightful.
“Really?” Jing Haohao turned her head to the side and glanced at her reflection in the glass on the café wall.
Xian’er was aware of Jing Haohao’s initial plans to marry Liang Chen, but the wedding was suddenly called off, and Jing Haohao went abroad. Upon her return, the two seed to have lost touch, Xian’er didn’t know what had transpired. Not daring to ask in fear of stirring painful mories, seeing Jing Haohao in a lively state, Xian’er felt a sense of joy. She did not respond to Jing Haohao’s question and lowered her head to take a sip of her coffee. After a while, she looked up, a hint of curiosity flashing in her eyes. She leaned close to Jing Haohao and whispered mysteriously, “Be honest, Haohao, are you in a relationship recently?”
Having said that, Xian’er even took a glance at Jing Haohao’s phone.
Jing Haohao was montarily taken aback, then realized Xian’er had been suspicious because she’d been constantly texting. She quickly shook her head and answered, “No.”
“Really?” Xian’er looked at her with disbelief.
“Really.” Jing Haohao’s response was unequivocal.
Xian’er made a face, “That’s such a lie! Your current state clearly says you’re in love!”
This ti, Jing Haohao didn’t counter. Instead, she seed to zone out.
Her state…what really was her state now?
Jing Haohao furrowed her brows slightly, finally realizing that her recent days had been filled with the thoughts of a man nad Liang Chen: chatting with him, looking at their conversation, sharing food photos with him, and even texting him long strings complaining about the cafeteria food at the office…
At the thought of this, Jing Haohao blinked suddenly.
Xian’er sat across from her, seeing her in this state, chuckled lightly, “I told you, you’re in love! And you won’t admit it. It’s obvious that you’ve fallen for a guy, Haohao. Tell , who is it?”
