Seeing the black-haired beauty, the bully teenager was frightened as her strength was above his. She seed to be skilled at basic combat training.

The girl took Rio to the nearby dical care and gave him first-aid treatnt.
Rio was quiet and followed along as he didn't even look at her.
"What happened little guy… won't you talk to big sister?" Her eyes filled with serenity and care towards the innocent boy who gave her cold shoulders.
When you don't give attention to a pretty girl or ignore them, you beco attractive to them by default. They love challenging things although it wasn't the case here for these two but Rio's behavior still piqued her interest.
"I'm also an orphan like you. So we are alike. I lost my mother when I was one year old. After that, I was adopted by another family who was a close friend of my mother." She spoke in a sorrowful voice as she narrated it to him.
The black-haired beauty's intention was clear. She searched for his identity in the database as the girl was from a very influential family.
After she discovered Rio is an orphan, her heart lted for the little guy. The girl knew that she can approach him if he finds out her situation was similar.
"Even if I talk to you… you would also leave one day like Grandpa did." Rio, who didn't talk to anyone for the last fifteen months, finally spoke at this mont.
"What if this big sister makes a promise to you that she will be your friend for life?" This girl was well aware of the importance behind her words but when you et soone with a similar past you feel a strong connection with them.

She had a few good friends and they all ca closer to her because of her being adopted by an influential family. When the girl found out about Rio's past, she knew this friendship would be more aningful than the rest of her other bondings.
"Really? You will promise that?" Rio's eyes shone as if he found a new rope of hope to hold on to.
She hovered her little finger and tied it around Rio's one and shook them gently.
"Promise," She said with a gentle smile.
She took him to a restaurant nearby as a roaring ca from Rio's stomach.
The little boy didn't eat at first and showed tantrums. The black-haired girl took the food from the plate and brought it to near his mouth to feed him.
After they were done eating, the duo went to an amusent park where they had fun together.
"Big sister, what's your na?" Rio asked while looking at her tranquil-filled eyes.
She hesitated a little then said with a smile, "Umm...I have two nas... but my mother used to call Layla."
"Okay, then I'll call you big sister Layla." He said with a happy glint in his eyes that were also filled with affection.
The next day they t again and today Rio also fed her with his hand which caused her heart to feel warmth.
She missed her real mother when this happened.
Their days went on like that...
After 15 months passed, they grew closer.
Rio was 12 years old and Layla was 15…
The crimson-haired boy said, "Big sister Layla when I grow up, will you marry ?"
"Where has this question co into your mind?" She asked with a puzzled face while laughing and taking it as a joke.
"Today our teacher was showing us a docuntary. In the video, they showed a boy or girl has to find a partner. Big sister Layla, you will choose as your Husband, right?" He said with innocence flickering in his eyes.
"Ah... Rio… don't make it hard for . I can not promise you that." Layla didn't agree as she knew what it ant.
"So you were lying when you said you would be my friend for life?" His eyes already turned moist and he started walking away. Rio didn't even wait for her to say anything and convince him.
The next day he didn't co although Layla waited for him.
She ca every weekend to wait for him but Rio didn't co.
After a month he went to the Monunt Building where a black-haired beauty was waiting for him.
But Rio didn't speak to her as if they were strangers.
Layla ca to him and grabbed both of her ears and said in an apologetic tone, " Won't you forgive this big sister of yours? Please, Don't punish with your silence. I can't bear to lose you. I'm sorry, Rio."
"But you broke your promise," Rio said coldly.
"That's because marriage requires two people to love." She said in a lower voice.
"So big sister doesn't love ?" Rio asked with a frown as if he was wronged.
"I love you Rio but right now, you're just a child. Ask this question if you still want as your wife when you are fifteen." Layla responded in a serious tone.
"Would you agree at that ti?" He asked with an unwavering glint in his eyes.
She nodded with a smile and a complicated emotion was taking birth in her heart.
After this, they started spending ti as usual.
They loved each other like siblings but their young hearts were stolen by each other as ti passed.
Layla entered the Golden Seal Military Academy after she turned 16 which caused her to be busier than usual but she still co to et the Little guy.
Three years passed...
Rio was fifteen and his sixteenth birthday was coming soon. Layla was already nineteen and she was about to graduate from the Golden Seal Military Academy.
He said to Layla, "So my dear future wife, when are you going to marry and be mine forever?"
"After you complete your studies." She spoke while pinching his nose with a cute smile.
"Aheech...I have already passed the exams. Just waiting for the results. They took so blood tests. They said I'll be getting an AI watch. I don't know what is that for." Rio said and scrunched his eyebrows when she pinched his nose.
"You will find it out," Layla said while seeing his cute face that got annoyed by her little action.
"I have a question for you." He mumbled.
"Say." She responded while frowning.
