During the spare days that we had before the Sage’s Assembly, lina and I were sward with small talks and lectures all over the tower.

My lessons revolved around gravity magic since it was a pretty new concept for the mages to learn, while lina focused on explaining our wordless casting.

The mages in the tower believed that they needed to be as powerful as a sage to be able to cast spells without chanting anything. However, we were 100% sure that wasn’t the case.

When I first saw soone other than myself casting magic in this world, I realized that their techniques were completely different from what I was practicing.

I thought it was normal at first and that the level of magic at the Sephyr Kingdom simply wasn’t good enough. However, the more I learned about this world, the more I realized sothing was strange.

The way I saw it, there had been other reincarnators and plenty of sages before my arrival, so it was suspicious how none of them ever taught their way of casting spells without using long chants.

Still, these lectures proved to be what we needed as our nas started to spread around the people in the tower.

When the day of the assembly arrived, lina and I prepared ourselves along with Nessa, whom we would be introducing to the mages.

The eting took place on floor 50, which was the largest level in the tower. It was a semi-circular room with seats and balconies facing the exhibition area.

The current sages were ant to sit at the very front of the assembly while the rest of the hundreds of mages used the balconies surrounding them.

Sage Astra was the first one to step up to the podium to talk and start the eting.

"We are reunited here today to talk about the future of our world. We have a new pair of sages among us, and I would like you all to hear what they have to say..." Sage Astra said during her introduction speech.

After saying our nas out loud, the mages clapped and cheered as we both walked up to the podium.

"Hi, everyone. My na is Ichiro, and the topic that I want to discuss with you today won’t be easy to digest, so please bear with ..." I said.

The podium in the eting room had an enchantnt that increased the volu of the speaker’s voice, so I didn’t need to use my sound magic to project my voice across the entire room.

"As you all know, there are a few devils in our world causing all sorts of trouble.

The breeding and training of Accursed Beasts, sending packs of monsters to attack small towns, conquering nations and enslaving their citizens..." I said, listing more of the things that the devils had been doing.

After explaining how the devils’ powers worked with demonic energy and how it differed from the magic we used, I told them about the location of the remaining devils.

"We know that one of them is in Guanghua and the other in the Northern Empire. The third one is the biggest problem, though. The devil’s na is Drakzen, and he roams the world in search of powerful beasts and relics..."

Sage Devon raised his hand.

"Sage Ichiro, could you tell us how you found all of this information?" he asked loudly.

Devon was actually helping , as it was a segway for to tell everyone about how I managed to befriend a peaceful devil.

The sage from Sephyr knew of our relationship with Jackson and Nessa, but he kept it a secret from everyone since that was what sages were supposed to do.

When I told the story of how I ca across Jackson and the struggles that he had to endure as a devil, I could see that many of the mages were skeptical.

I didn’t call Jackson by his na because I didn’t want to put him on the spot, but I kept telling them about his achievents.

He helped protect the citizens of End Town from monsters, taught how to read and write, and even beca the mayor of End Town for so ti.

"That devil was the one who taught everything I needed to vanquish the others, and if you still don’t trust him, let tell you another fascinating fact..." I continued.

"Is everyone here aware of the ’True Colors Eyes’?" I asked.

So mages seed to nod in understanding, while others looked confused, so I gave a quick explanation of what it was.

The "True Colors Eyes" were the skill that Triana, lina’s cousin, had been born with.

It allowed her to see a person’s real intentions by the way their spiritual energy was displayed, and she confird that Jackson was a trustworthy person without even knowing he was a devil.

"That sa trustworthy devil told that there was another one like him..." I said, signaling Nessa to co to the podium.

I introduced Nessa as a peaceful devil who didn’t desire to destroy or conquer us. Nonetheless, the mages still looked skeptical, not at the fact that she was a devil but because they didn’t believe that the young girl could be one.

Sage Lang, who was sitting at the front with the other sages, recognized Nessa from the tournant and raised his hand.

"Sage Ichiro. That young lady doesn’t have any demonic energy coming from her, so it’s hard to believe that she could be a powerful devil..." he said, making the mages sitting on the balconies whisper to each other in agreent.

"I get what you an. I’ll get to that..." I said.

"Devils are able to hide their demonic energy by suppressing it inside their bodies. This takes a toll on their bodies, so it requires a lot of practice for them to be able to hide it for long periods of ti..." I elaborated.

I shot a glance at Nessa and told her that she could release her demonic energy to show them.

The pink-haired girl was a little hesitant and trembled, but lina grabbed her hand for reassurance and gave her a smile.

Suddenly, the atmosphere turned heavy and dark as Nessa released her demonic energy, making the spectating mages freeze with fear.

"Now, I know it’s a bit uncomfortable right now, but once you get to know Nessa, you’ll barely feel her energy around you..." I said.
