After I found Drakzen standing on the edge of the city’s hill, I told him to leave the place since I didn’t want to fight him at that mont.
Strangely, the devil agreed with , saying that he also didn’t wish to fight.
"Yeah? Then why did you interrupt the tournant?" I asked.
"I was just simply showing a traitor that they can’t run away from who they are!" he replied proudly.
’Right, of course, he sees Nessa as a traitor...’ I thought.
"I thought devils would just do anything they wanted. I see you are all just so loyal dogs for soone else..." I said mockingly.
Still, my taunts had no effect on Drakzen, who simply chuckled as if I had told him a joke.
"Tell why you are here..." I continued.
The devil sharpened his eyes and stared at with a severe expression while slowly approaching .
With caution, I placed my hand on the handle of my mithril dagger, but suddenly, Drakzen was standing less than a foot away from with his face next to my ear.
"I’m just wandering around... I am the traveling devil, don’t you know?" he muttered.
Right as he finished his sentence, he appeared on the edge of the hill again and, with a wicked smile, jumped down.
I peeked at the bottom to see if he landed anywhere, but Drakzen was nowhere to be seen, making shake my head with frustration.
’I hate that guy so much...’ I thought.
After the encounter, I returned to the arena, where we still had so ti to relax before the final match, and told lina and Nessa about Drakzen.
lina looked angry and annoyed at the fact that a devil had tried ssing with Nessa, but the pink-haired girl looked more scared than anything.
She explained that Drakzen was the strongest of the devil commanders. However, she had never seen his full strength, which was how she knew that he was extrely powerful.
’Well, he did fight against three sages without unleashing his full power...’ I thought, rembering the tis we fought against him at the Sephyr Kingdom.
I didn’t think that Drakzen would genuinely try to do sothing else, so I told Nessa to calm down and enjoy watching the final match.
There was still so ti left before it started, as it was ant to begin during the sunset, so we used that ti to pay a visit to the two finalists.
Putting the devil’s problem aside, I felt pretty proud that the two combatants who reached the end were my students.
However, when I got to the practice range, my smile turned sour after noticing that Takeo was saying sothing to Yuki as she looked down with a sad expression.
"You cheater, I always knew you were trash!" Takeo exclaid as he pointed a finger at his sister.
"What’s going on here?" I said, interrupting his tantrum.
"Heh, what? Are you going to defend her again? I’m already out of the tournant, so what are you going to do? Disqualify ?" Takeo said with a mocking tone.
"You called her a cheater, and I’m her professor. So, how did she cheat?" I calmly asked.
"I know she was using an artifact to cast magic without chanting anything. It was probably given to her by you!" he exclaid.
lina placed her palm on her face, feeling almost too embarrassed to look at Takeo without laughing in his face.
However, Takeo’s delusions made him believe that she was embarrassed for , and he quickly approached her.
"Princess, you shouldn’t hang with cheaters like these... I can give you everyth-..." Takeo said as he went to hold lina’s hand but stopped after his face was turned abruptly to the side.
*slap!* the sound of lina’s palm against Takeo’s cheek resounded in the practice room.
"Get your filthy hands away from ..." lina muttered with an incredibly intimidating killer aura.
"Do you really think I would be so stupid as to listen to what you have to say?
You are an arrogant piece of trash that believes everything is your property.
You treat the people of your nation like slaves and your own family with disdain.
Prince Takeo, I would rather destroy the entire world and then kill myself than spend another minute of my ti talking to you..." lina said.
Her speech made everyone in the practice room utterly silent as they stared at her with shock in their eyes.
I would be lying if I said I wasn’t surprised. I knew lina better than everyone, and I had seen her getting mad in our past lives, but it had been so long that I had forgotten how scary and ruthless she could be.
Yuki was speechless, with her mouth wide open. However, lina stood her ground and crossed her arms as she looked at the prince with disgust.
Takeo couldn’t believe what soone had said to him, staying silent for what felt like minutes until he managed to stamr a few words.
"I... I will not let this slide!" he exclaid before leaving the practice area.
A few minutes after the prince was gone, I noticed a group of people were trying to enter the practice area from the back entrance, which wasn’t allowed.
When I got closer to see what the commotion was about, I noticed that it looked like a family.
Four won and three children wanted to step inside, and it turned out that it was Yuki’s family who couldn’t sit in the royal booth with the king and queen.
After I told the guards to let them in, they all ran up to Yuki with haste.
The four concubines and Yuki’s step-siblings had arrived to congratulate the black-haired princess for reaching the final, giving her a group hug that made Yuki blush with a smile.
They had been watching the tournant from the castle, and seeing her giving it her all made them rush to the arena to see her.
It was a pretty heart-warming mont, and as lina and I watched them happily congratulate the black-haired princess, she comnted on how she had never seen Yuki smiling that brightly.
