After checking out the desecrated farm field in the town of isi, I looked around my void pocket to see if I had any spare seeds and fruits I could use.
However, Luna told that she had a contingency plan for this type of situation and guided to a burnt tree that was a few hundred ters away from the town.
The trunk was wholly burnt with nothing else around it. Still, Luna approached the tree with enthusiasm and started digging a hole right next to it using her hands.
She was pretty fast at it, which probably had sothing to do with her rabbit features, and after thirty seconds of digging, she hit a wooden surface underneath the earth and pulled out a chest that looked like a pirate treasure chest of so sort.
When she opened it, there was a large leather bag inside with hundreds of different seeds.
The seeds looked sowhat dried out, but Luna expressed that it was still possible for them to yield produce, which would then increase their grain and food supply in the long run.
The bunny battle-maid had an excellent plan, honestly. I was impressed at how she managed to hide such a "treasure" for a few years under a random tree in the savannah.
So of those seeds wouldn’t yield anything, but I had another thing in mind.
I grabbed one of the seeds that looked the worst, thoroughly dried out and seemingly cracked, and inspected it for a brief mont.
"Yeah, that one won’t work..." said Luna, watching inspect the brown seed.
However, I wasn’t just looking at the dried-out seed but checking if I could use magic on it.
Without elaborating on what I was thinking, I cast nature magic on it, and the seed slowly restored itself back to a natural state, regaining a light green color and turning a bit harder.
Luna widened her eyes, asking what I had done to fix up a broken seed, so I explained to the battle-maid what nature magic was.
Gina was there with us, and she was fully aware of all the different types of magic I could cast, so she wasn’t nearly as impressed as Luna, who was seeing it for the first ti.
During her ti with , Gina had learned a bunch of new magic spells that she incorporated into her fighting techniques, but she told that nature magic was one that she couldn’t fully grasp.
I supposed it was because she didn’t have enough knowledge of how specific systems of nature worked.
For example, when I used nature magic to restore the ground’s nutrients, I had to be aware of the existence of these concepts for it to work.
You didn’t have to be a biologist and understand every single step of the process, but a basic understanding and so imagination were enough for the magic to work.
In other words, if they wanted to learn nature magic, I would have to give them a basic biology class and go over so primary natural cycles for them to get a better grasp of it.
Nonetheless, I didn’t have ti for that sort of thing at that mont, so I told them that I would teach them more about it so other ti.
I didn’t know what kind of seed I was holding, so I inspected it with magic now that it looked healthy.
’Thanks, that’s very helpful. Inspect window...’ I thought, a bit annoyed.
"What is zana?" I asked the battle-maids.
They described it as an orange and long vegetable, imdiately making think of carrots.
I wanted to tell a joke about the bunny girl planting carrots, but I opted not to and kept looking at the other seeds in the leather bag.
There was one type that was sowhat familiar and a little bigger than the others. When I picked it up, I noticed it was corn.
’Screw you, Inspect window...’ I thought, annoyed again.
Still, I recognized the word "maiz" as "corn" in Spanish, making think that Alejandro was the man who nad these vegetables.
I also found so seeds for other vegetables like potatoes and tomatoes, and with the seed problem taken care of, I moved back to the desecrated field and planted my hands on the ground.
Slowly, I cast nature magic as I tried to pull the nutrients from the earth back to the area. However, it took a lot more MP than I thought it would, as the ground had been completely scorched.
It took hours to bring half of the field back to life, and nightti was arriving, so Luna and the rest of the villagers told to take a rest for the ti being.
While I wasn’t feeling too tired, I realized that this was just the first of many farms that we would need to bring back to life.
Don’t get wrong, it’s not like I didn’t want to help the beastkins, but I hadn’t talked to lina after the fight with Zagor since I lost my voice crystal, and I just felt like I wanted to see her.
Besides, if lina was there with , we could finish helping all of the towns in Kalusia much faster since she could cast pretty much all of the spells I did.
I was sitting on the rooftop of one of the little shacks in town, groaning softly as I thought about what to do.
If I used a few MP potions and teleported back to the Sephyr Kingdom, I would be able to get there in a few hours.
It wouldn’t be instant since my teleport wouldn’t reach the other side of the continent with one jump, so it would probably take at least seven long teleports to get there.
Now that I had traveled to most of the continent, I could visualize new places to travel to and shorten my trip by literal days.
lina still had lessons she needed to attend, but I started pondering about talking with the headmaster to excuse her for a few days so she could co with .
’Hmmm, would she be okay with that? She did say she was bored out of her mind...’ I thought.
"Vesp, Yoru. I’ll be back in the morning..." I said to my companions as I confidently stood up, determined to go look for my wife.
