It was the day after lina sent Ichiro a ssage, knowing that the final battle against Zagor was only a few hours away from happening.
That morning, she attended her lessons but wasn’t able to focus at all as her mind trailed off to think about Ichiro’s well-being.
Her roommates were worried for her, but they understood why she felt so nervous and decided to keep her company in their room.
While Yuki brewed a special tea from her hotown that helped calm the nerves, Luca and his two lackeys also visited the princess in her room and joined them for tea.
Nonetheless, lina couldn’t keep a conversation going for more than ten seconds without falling silent out of her sheer worry.
lina had her voice crystal beside her, as she wanted to keep it close in case any new ssage from Ichiro arrived.
She knew her father had gone to the war too, but she was perfectly aware that he wouldn’t be facing the devil with Ichiro, as he wouldn’t allow to put the king in danger like that.
Suddenly, while the group was trying to stay lively while telling stories to keep lina’s mind sowhat distracted, the voice crystal shattered into dust out of nowhere.
The group fell silent as lina turned her head and widened her eyes with fear and surprise after seeing her only ans of communicating with Ichiro had imploded.
"W-what..." lina muttered in complete disbelief, leaving everyone else on the balcony dead silent.
The silver-haired princess slowly stood up and held the crystal dust in her hands with apprehension as a small tear rolled down her cheek.
Her friends knew what the crystal ant to her and what its purpose was. Its shattering only ant that Ichiro was in trouble.
"He must be facing him right now..." lina muttered to herself, more tears coming down her eyes.
With a face full of tears and a red, runny nose, lina walked toward the rail of the balcony, clasped her hands together, and closed her eyes.
"If I can reach him... If my energy can locate him..." lina whispered as the rest of her friends observed her in silence and shock.
As the silver-haired princess focused, her friends could feel her energy leaving her body until they couldn’t sense it as it was traveling far from them at high speeds.
"Is she... Sending Ichiro her MP!?’ Yuki thought as she carefully watched lina.
Once most of lina’s MP had left her body, she felt weak and fainted but was quickly caught by Yuki, who rushed to hold her before she could hit the ground.
Nonetheless, lina had lost consciousness, so her friends decided to put her to bed.
Luca and his friends left the room still in shock, especially Luca, who had been rooting for Ichiro’s demise ever since he heard about him. He didn’t feel that way anymore, but a sense of guilt still plagued him.
After seeing lina’s reaction to the crystal shattering, he felt even worse.
Her tears and feelings for Ichiro were so honest that everyone on the balcony could feel it, making him realize how much of an idiot he had been the entire ti as a wrenching sensation appeared in his chest.
"Are you okay, Luca?" Enzo asked his green-haired friend.
Any ti that Luca saw lina acting sad, he believed that he could be the one to make her feel better, as his ego made him think he was irresistible since plenty of the girls at the academy were in love with him.
This ti, however, he felt like he couldn’t do absolutely anything for lina, making him return to his room with a feeling of guilt and regret.

While lina was unconscious on her bed, she found her mind wandering on a different plain of existence, with nothing around her other than stars and constellations.
Suddenly, bookcases started to materialize around her, and a figure wearing a robe beca visible in the distance as they slowly approached lina. However, she didn’t feel fear but a soothing sensation.
"W-who are you?" lina asked a bit nervously as the man with color-changing hair stood before her.
A man with deep violet eyes and flowing hair that changed from light blue to purple every few seconds stood tall, srizing the princess with his appearance.
"It’s a pleasure to finally et you... My na is Asys, the God of Magic." the man said courteously.
"I- I am lina, " the princess replied, still srized by the god’s looks.
Asys nodded affirmatively. "I know. I’m familiar with my sister-in-law..." he said vaguely as he turned around to face the bookshelves.
’His what?’ lina pondered, but her thoughts were interrupted as the god pulled out a book from the shelf.
"You see, lina. You have co up with a few different spells that I find interesting..." Asys said, holding the book with both hands.
"You made a spell that can lock any container shut, and you can even cast the different conditions that soone needs to be able to open it..." the god continued.
"Well, yeah. I just made that because I was so mad at my friends for grabbing my dangerous stuff..." lina responded as if it wasn’t a big deal.
"Impressive." Asys comnded.
"You also discovered a way to cleanse the black pearls that were turning people into lesser demons. Your actions saved thousands of people, lina..." he continued.
The princess blushed a little from the complint, saying she was trying her best to help Ichiro.
Still, Asys wasn’t done recounting lina’s achievents.
"Apart from those two incredible feats. You also managed to send your MP across different countries until it reached Ichiro..." the god said.
"What? Wait..." the princess interjected.
"D-did my MP reach him? I just did that as a last resort since I couldn’t think of anything else. I even thought I had screwed up and just depleted my MP for no reason..." lina replied with a sad expression.
Asys shook her head and denied her claims. "It reached him, lina. Your connection to him is so strong that your MP located him even when he was on the other side of the continent..." the god explained.
lina flushed with a bit of embarrassnt but didn’t deny Asys’ words, as she knew they were true.
"I’m sure about my decision here, so I’ll be giving you this..." the god said while giving the book he held to the princess.
"You are my new sage. I’ll be expecting wonderful things from you."
"Huh? Sage!? You are giving the title!?" lina exclaid with surprise and confusion.
"Of course I am. What kind of god would I be if I didn’t recognize clear talent?"
"B-but I’m still just a student at the academy..." lina said.
"And? Have you learned anything useful there? I understand your people have their customs, but I won’t allow them to hinder the growth of my gifted..."
lina couldn’t refute the claims of Asys. After all, he was the god of magic, so his decision was final.
It’s not that lina didn’t want the title of sage. It just made her feel like her staying at the academy would be even more useless now that she had been recognized by the god of magic himself.
Still, she accepted Asys’ gift and was reassured that Ichiro would return. Then, in the blink of an eye, lina opened her eyes and found herself on top of her bed in her room, still holding onto the book that Asys had given her in her dream.
