Chapter 937: Helpless Against Gu Lan
Gu Lan had already fought against the Blood God before, and he hadn’t co out on top. Both were gods, and Wizard God’s strength was certainly not to be underestimated. Though Gu Lan had the Great Path qi with him, it wasn’t the ti for a confrontation yet. He needed to wait until he fully mastered the Great Path qi.
“Isn’t the god behind you able to bring people back from the dead? Let him help you again this ti!” A voice rang out in Gu Lan’s mind.
Gu Lan injected true energy into the Hongng Sword, and in an instant, thousands of sword lights sprang forth. The sound of rending echoed through the air as the sword shadows descended upon his foes.
Seeing the attack coming, Mo Xuan remained expressionless, with no hint of fear in his eyes. Just as the sword light was about to strike him, hundreds of figures erged behind him.
“Form the formation!” Mo Xuan commanded, and blood light surged into the sky, forming a protective formation in the heavens. Within monts, Gu Lan’s power was completely blocked by the array.
Gu Lan was slightly stunned as he observed the formation.
“So you were prepared. I truly underestimated you.”
At first, Gu Lan had thought that a single strike would end the battle. He hadn’t expected Mo Xuan to be so well-prepared. However, this would be the last ti he’d be caught off guard. After this, he would not hold back.
Gripping the Hongng Sword tightly, Gu Lan’s soul energy surged powerfully within him. The aura radiating from him intensified, and the sword in his hand shone with a brilliant fire.
Mo Xuan’s expression shifted slightly, his brow furrowing. He couldn’t deny that Gu Lan’s strength had exceeded his expectations. There was a faint sense of danger in the air, a subtle threat to his life.
But Mo Xuan didn’t retreat. He waved his hand again.
“Kill him.”
At his command, the Wizard Clan’s powerful figures surged forward, each displaying their incredible strength. The roar of battle filled the air, and the entire sky darkened under the weight of their combined might.
Although the Wizard Clan outnumbered Gu Lan, he didn’t see them as a threat. They were nothing but weaklings in his eyes.
As they rushed toward him, Gu Lan vanished in a blur, appearing directly above their heads. The formation they used had its rits, but it couldn’t withstand a single blow from Gu Lan.
“Boom!”
A single strike from Gu Lan shattered the formation into pieces. The sheer power he displayed left not only the Wizard Clan mbers in shock, but even Gu Lan himself was surprised. He hadn’t anticipated his own abilities to be this potent.
However, he didn’t dwell on it for long. His focus shifted back to the task at hand—dealing with the trouble at hand.
“Retreat!”
The Wizard Clan mbers, though fearless of death, had no intention of throwing their lives away. With Mo Xuan directing them, they didn’t blindly rush forward. Instead of continuing their attack, they quickly retreated.
Though they had been rciless earlier, now they seed to be more tactical, avoiding direct confrontation. While they had preserved their lives, Gu Lan couldn’t help but feel displeased by their cautious approach.
Mo Xuan’s expression was dark, his eyes burning with killing intent. But he didn’t speak. He only glanced at Gu Lan briefly before his gaze shifted toward the distant horizon, his eyes gleaming with cold light. With a subtle motion, Mo Xuan took a step back.
It was a small movent, but Gu Lan noticed it imdiately.
Killing intent filled his eyes, and he didn’t hesitate. The Hongng Sword surged toward the sky, and thousands of sword lights appeared, descending on the retreating Wizard Clan mbers.
Though they tried to avoid the attack, they were still too slow. Gu Lan didn’t concern himself with their futile attempts to escape; it was only a matter of ti before he would eliminate them all.
Mo Xuan, always calculating, didn’t speak but his eyes were filled with cold hatred. Gu Lan couldn’t afford to ignore him. He knew that Mo Xuan’s thoughts were far too intricate for him to relax his guard.
Gu Lan, not wasting any more ti, sent another sword slash flying toward Mo Xuan. This ti, however, it was a feint. Gu Lan vanished again, reappearing behind Mo Xuan in a flash.
With a swift motion, Gu Lan raised his fist and struck Mo Xuan, sending him flying a great distance, crashing into the void.
Mo Xuan was caught off guard by the sudden attack. He had no chance to defend himself, and his protective aura shattered instantly.
“You!” Mo Xuan roared in fury, his expression twisted into a grotesque snarl. His eyes were filled with murderous rage.
Gu Lan smirked coldly. “The mighty Wizard Clan Young Lord, and this is all you’re capable of? Pathetic.”
Although Mo Xuan had indeed grown stronger, the difference wasn’t as significant as he had hoped. Surviving a single punch from Gu Lan was already impressive enough. But now, Gu Lan would ensure that Mo Xuan would not leave this place alive.
Gu Lan unleashed his true energy once again, and the Hongng Sword ignited with an even more intense blaze.
“Feel the flas from hell!”
Gu Lan didn’t hold back. This strike targeted Mo Xuan’s very soul. Mo Xuan stood frozen at a distance, unmoving, but fear was visible in his eyes as he sensed the overwhelming force coming for him.
Just as Gu Lan was about to strike, a voice suddenly echoed in his ear.
“Do not worry. With here, he cannot harm you.”
It was Wizard God’s voice. The mont Mo Xuan heard this, his fear dissipated, and he found confidence once again.
“With Wizard God’s protection, how could I fear you?” Mo Xuan shouted, his anger reaching new heights. He summoned a blood-red blade into his hands.
With a furious roar, he struck out, sending hundreds of blood beams flying toward Gu Lan.
Gu Lan sneered. “This weak attack won’t even touch .”
He didn’t even need to draw his sword. With ease, Gu Lan dodged the oncoming blood beams.
Mo Xuan, undeterred, continued to speed up his assault.
…
After hundreds of exchanges, Mo Xuan was panting heavily, clearly exhausted. anwhile, Gu Lan remained unhard, his energy still flowing without a hitch.
Gu Lan scoffed, his voice laced with mockery.
“This is your power? It’s hardly impressive.”
Mo Xuan’s fury flared at those words. His eyes, bloodshot with rage, glinted with deathly intent.
“You won’t be so smug for long. You won’t escape .”
The Wizard Clan’s warriors, who had retreated to Mo Xuan’s side, now looked on with wary eyes. Their strength had diminished significantly, and they began to regard Gu Lan with a mix of fear and awe. At first, they had believed they could overpower him, but now, they saw that he was no ordinary opponent.
Gu Lan noticed the wary looks on their faces, and a smirk spread across his lips.
“You can stop staring. Co at all at once. It’ll save ti.”
Although Mo Xuan didn’t issue any orders, the warriors of the Wizard Clan surged forward together, moving as one. Mo Xuan may not have commanded them, but soone in the shadows had taken charge.
Wizard God, watching from afar, smiled coldly. The fates of these warriors ant nothing to him.
