The disciples of Lanyan Royal School were filled with confidence. Monts ago, they had rely followed Gu Lan's orders to appear weak, with the clear intent of luring the enemy in and capturing them. Had they fully activated their formations, the Lei Xiao Guardians would never have broken through so easily.

"Damn it!"

"The Lei Xiao Guardians destroyed so many of my fundantal formations. Once we capture them, I must use their bones and blood as the foundation for new formations!" The Demon Realm formation master, who was overseeing the array, was furious. Though letting the enemy advance was a tactical decision, seeing so many carefully laid foundations ruined still pained him. These were formations he had ticulously arranged with his disciples, and seeing them so easily destroyed filled him with anger.

Gu Lan noticed the growing fury among the disciples of Lanyan Royal School and nodded in satisfaction. The morale was high—just as he wanted. In a battle between two armies, morale often played a crucial role and could even affect the actual combat strength.

He waved his hand, projecting an image. In the scene, Lin Lu was no longer in his usual white scholar's robe. Instead, he was clad in gleaming silver armor, wielding a Fangtian halberd taller than himself, looking every bit like a young and handso commander.

"Lin Lu, how is the battle formation coming along?" Gu Lan asked with a smile.

"Reporting to the Lord! My n and I are ready and can fight at any ti!" Lin Lu spun the halberd lightly, his gaze calm and steady, resembling a seasoned general. In fact, after the war with the Yu Nation, Lin Lu's comprehension of battle formations had already surpassed most in the Earthly Realm. Now, with Gu Lan's guidance, his understanding of formations had reached terrifying levels.

His soldiers' aura and spirit were evident—this battle formation was no less formidable than the Lei Xiao Guardians. The only thing they might lack was cultivation level. But that could be mitigated with the help of formations.

"If that's the case, then go to battle!" Gu Lan waved the battle flag once more.

Imdiately, Lin Lu led his troops in a charge, heading straight for the Lei Xiao Guardians. Unlike mortal armies, cultivator formations relied on precise coordination. Even the rhythm of their true essence had to be perfectly synchronized for the formation to function at its peak. Lin Lu's soldiers had trained rigorously for this. If not for the emphasis on mastering formations, their cultivation levels would have been significantly higher by now. It showed just how much effort they had put in. Today would be the day to test those efforts.

"Charge!" Lei Xiao commanded from outside the formation. Watching as the formation in front of them weakened more and more, he smiled confidently. Originally, he had expected the Snow Clan's formation to present more of a challenge, but it seed the enemy lacked the skills to properly control it, allowing his army to push through easily.

Once again, the Lei Xiao Guardians charged, and this ti, their montum was even stronger, shattering much of the array. Just as their charge began to lose force and they prepared to fall back, a spear appeared—a spear ford from countless soldiers.

This spear, sharp and invincible, infused with terrifying formation power, pierced directly into the left flank of the Lei Xiao Guardians, tearing through them effortlessly. Lin Lu's timing had been impeccable, giving the Lei Xiao Guardians no chance to react or change formations. In an instant, dozens of Lei Xiao Guardians fell dead.

"Damn it! We've been tricked!" Lei Xiao, watching from outside the formation, was furious. He knew he had fallen into a trap and had underestimated the Lanyan Royal School. He hadn't expected them to have such a powerful battle formation. Though the force was not as strong as his own Lei Xiao Guardians, the cohesion and execution of their tactics were just as terrifying.

"Change formation! Surround them!" Lei Xiao shouted while raising his Divine Dawn Thunder Spear and personally charging into battle. He intended to help his Lei Xiao Guardians break out of the array and save the surviving soldiers. In all his years of warring across the Six Realms, he had never lost so many Lei Xiao Guardians. The thought of the fallen soldiers filled him with grief, and his killing intent toward Lanyan Royal School surged to new heights.

Unleashing his mid-stage Main God Realm power, Lei Xiao charged into the formation at lightning speed, even faster than the entire Lei Xiao Guardian force had managed. But just then, a dragon's roar echoed through the battlefield. A terrifying Nine-Winged Dragon blocked his path.

"Nine-Winged Dragon!" Lei Xiao cursed internally. The Nine-Winged Dragon was only at the peak of the Imperial Realm, and under normal circumstances, Lei Xiao could easily subdue it. But this was a critical mont—any delay ant further losses for his Lei Xiao Guardians, and his heart bled at the thought of their deaths.

"Out of my way, you beast!" Lei Xiao roared in anger, unleashing the full power of his Divine Dawn Thunder Spear. Lightning exploded from the spear, crashing into the Nine-Winged Dragon. Normally, any beast would have fled from such an attack. But the Nine-Winged Dragon, both a true dragon and a ferocious beast, had an incomparably strong body. It took the blow head-on, despite being sent flying by the imnse force. Nevertheless, it successfully delayed Lei Xiao's advance.

anwhile, Lin Lu and his soldiers pierced through the Lei Xiao Guardians once again. This ti, hundreds of Lei Xiao Guardians were slain.

"Ahhh! When I break this formation, I'll wipe out every last mber of Lanyan Royal School!" Lei Xiao's killing intent erupted as he charged again toward his forces. But just as he picked up speed, the Nine-Winged Dragon, now battered and wounded, flew back into his path. Its blood-red eyes showed no hint of fear as it summoned massive ice spears from the formation's power, hurling them at Lei Xiao.

"Die!" Lei Xiao was furious. The attacks from the Nine-Winged Dragon were insignificant to him, but the creature managed to stall him once again. He knocked the dragon aside, but by then, Lin Lu had already slaughtered hundreds more of his soldiers. The Lei Xiao Guardians were now utterly broken, with nearly a thousand casualties.

The worst part wasn't just the loss of soldiers—it was the demoralization. For the first ti, the Lei Xiao Guardians had been attacked so thoroughly and suffered such a devastating defeat, losing their will to fight. And a demoralized army was no longer a fighting force, which ant they were as good as finished.

Calm and composed, Lin Lu led his soldiers to clean up the battlefield, cutting down the remaining survivors. In re monts, the entire force of 10,000 Lei Xiao Guardians had been wiped out. By the ti Lei Xiao finally shook off the Nine-Winged Dragon and reached the battlefield, all that was left was a field of corpses.
