"I believe this is the first ti the two of us have t?" Edvard said and imdiately he had his hand held pointed towards Lupus.
Joy and the others had arrived running out from the Garden. They had regrouped with the hunters and were quickly trying to move back with them. Trying to make sure they were out of the way of the others.
Edvard with his superior speed had sprinted ahead of them. All of them had witnessed that the hunters as well as Austin on the security caras. It was a split second decision they had to make whether to co out or not.
In the end, Edvard had made the decision. If there were those alive he couldn't just let them die.
'That move, with his hand pointed out, that's the sa move he used against Luzen right? Will it work against Lupus?' Joy thought.
It was hard for the hunters to say. They could see what large presence Lupus had, how overwhelming it was, and based on the experience they had with the Lupus group so far. Nearly every individual had pride in their strength.
It didn't feel like they were fighting against a unit of sorts. Instead, it almost felt like they were going up against individual leaders. So for all of these powerful people to be together and follow one person, they had to have overwhelming power.
"I've never seen you before," Lupus said as he continued to sniff the air. "But I can tell you're different. You know in the past, they have sent a few leaders to deal with us…I've ran into a few of them, but you sll even different compared to them.
"So they are serious about taking out this ti…but I can tell you're not the king? Are we still not worthy enough, to be taken care of directly by your king!" Lupus asked in a growling voice.
As he shouted the last words the ground vibrated, and the hairs stuck up on the end of the others.
Still, Roland was able to move, and he had gotten to Austin on the ground.
"You don't look in the best condition kid," Roland said looking at his face he could tell he was young. "But, since you're an Altered you'll survive through this."
Roland then went ahead and gave his shoulder, as he lifted Austin off the floor.
"Are the rest of you going to look, or are you going to help, this guy is heavier then he looks."
Austin couldn't help but smile. He was still in his transford State. Although he was badly hurt he was keeping it up, because he felt like it was doing better for his bodies healing…he was a bit worried if he tried to revert back, that his life might have ended there.
"They're scared…" Austin said. "After all…you all hunt those like ."
Before Austin could say anything else, one of the hunters that were originally outside with Austin. Who had been protected by one of the arms that were flung by Lupus, had co over to give his shoulder.
"The situation has clearly changed from what we know," The hunter said. "We all beca hunters for a reason. Not all of us just wish to take out all of the Altered in existence, and anyone could tell, it's because you were able to fight for so long, that our lives were spared.
When Roland got back with the others, they were staring a relatively far distance away from where Edvard and Lupus was. Still even now Edvard had his arm out, it was almost a warning if he tried to attack them that he would attack.
"Is he going to be okay, should we help him?" Joy asked.
"No…you heard what Edvard said," Roland replied. "He told us to stay out of it, there seems to be more to this whole thing that we have no clue about."
The line between Altered hunters, and Altered were starting to blur between them all. Perhaps it was a good thing for the hunters as the whole world felt like it was steering away from them.
Edvard and Lupus were still directly looking at each other his hand still pointed out at him.
"Do you know what you have even done?" Lupus said. "You have just taken my al away from , right in front of , in my own ho…don't you think that's quite rude?"
"That kid a al? You know there is a reason why we see you as wild animals," Edvard retorted.
"Ha, us as animals, don't you need to feed on them to live. We are just doing what is natural to us…but for you, you rely on them. It's no wonder, that you wish to keep them alive, and to your bidding," Lupus replied and looked to his left, he could feel slight warmth covering his fur.
"The sun is coming up, won't that cause you so problems?" Lupus asked.
"For others maybe, but not like , there aren't that many around that are like ," Edvard said. As he spoke he knew what he was doing. He was buying ti, because he knew in this fight, there would be no chance for him to win.
Even though he was what was classified as an original, he needed that armor, wherever it was going to co from.
A twitch of movent ca from Lupus, and imdiately, all of the red Aura had charged into Edvard's arm.
"Blood Canon!" Edvard yelled as he poured all of his energy out.
The beam of red aura had crashed into Lupus, it moved his feet back, but it appeared as if he was almost holding it with his hands, holding onto the pure energy itself.
'What in the…'
"I bet, you've never seen sothing like this!" Lupus claid, as he held the energy in his palm, he started to condense it down, and pushed it, until it was now almost a solid red gem, a ball that could fit into the palm of his hand.
"Let's see how you like your own attack!"
