Since Enzo escaped with such a bad wound, his subordinates had no other choice but to run too.
They left their cars, going scattered in various directions.
It was as if they were being chased by a wild beast.
Perhaps that was true, but the beast was not chasing them.
He returned to his car, staring at the woman in the car who was silent like she had suddenly beco mute as she stared at him.
"Is there sothing strange on my face?" he asked Isabel, choosing to joke to lighten the mood.
That Isabel was too shocked was understandable. She needed to be given ti to calm down.
Joking at her was also a way to reassure her that he was no different despite his power.
His question was not sothing that Isabel could answer directly. Her eyes blinked a few tis.
He then got into the car, not forcing Isabel to communicate.
He drove the car towards the University of Paris since Isabel lived opposite the university.
"Are there many people like you?" On the way, Isabel finally spoke, looking at David quite intensely.
Who knew why she was asking that.
David looked back at her but with a faint smile then shook his head.
"No, not much at all," he replied.
"But they control the world, am I right?" said Isabel.
This was not sothing David could argue with, he nodded lightly.
"Elite families like the Rothschilds, the Rockefellers, the Morgans, they are people like that, possessing powers that ordinary people don't have. We call people like this Spiritual Beings. It is that power that the Elite Families rely on to stay in power." David did not mind explaining this to Isabel.
Since she had seen it, she had the right to know the details.
After hearing it all, Isabel nodded lightly. She seed to be able to imdiately imagine how the world worked.
"Jane, also like you, right?" she asked again. "No, maybe you got your powers with Jane's help," she added as she deduced sothing.
Her intelligence was above average so a little information was enough for her to deduce a lot of things.
"Yeah," David said.
"If you're interested, I can help you get powers too."
Isabel was an important woman in his life. He naturally wanted her life to progress well.
Although he did not have the blood of any deity in his hands, he could ask the others for it. It might not be suitable if he asked Jane, but there was still Erza, Alice, and even Evelyn.
To his surprise, Isabel shook her head.
"No need," she said.
"Don't you want to?" David was genuinely surprised by her response. It made his eyes widen.
"It's not that I don't want to, but I don't want it because of your help," Isabel replied, shifting her hair away from her face.
David only beca more astonished by her answer.
"Is there a woman of yours that you helped gain strength?" she asked suddenly.
Hearing that, David spontaneously shook his head.
So far, there was nothing like that. Each of his won including Aurora gained power by their own efforts.
"Isn't it bad if my power is from you while Jane and the others get it on their own?" Isabel said her point of view.
David finally understood. This was about pride.
Isabel didn't want his help because it would make her status lower.
However, if she didn't use his help, where would she get that power?
David didn't know what Isabel was thinking. Unless she would think of a way to gain power with Jane's help.
"It doesn't matter if I don't have such powers, I can still live as an ordinary human," Isabel added.
David could not say anything more if she had already said that.
Not long after, they arrived in front of the university.
Isabel wordlessly got out of the car and headed to her apartnt.
Although her expression was heavy at first, now she was starting to relax.
Phew!
David sighed and looked at the university.
It was now late afternoon. Soon he had to go back to the new house Audrey had bought.
Now that he was here, he would probably go ho with Audrey in person.
He saw her in the cafeteria, sitting with Ella, drinking coffee.
However, what he was looking for was Jane.
He needed to talk about his fight with Enzo to her.
Even though he didn't want her to help, he needed to know.
Not having seen her in the university environnt, so he ssaged her, asking her where she was.
She ssaged him right back, saying that she was in class.
He then went to the class.
It was quiet now, there were only a few students working on assignnts, and Jane seed to be working on assignnts as well, sothing that surprised David.
He approached her with a faint smile as she looked at him.
"Where have you been hanging around?" Jane asked first before he could say anything.
"Just walking around the city," David replied, sitting down beside her.
"And I t Enzo Rothschild," he added, startling Jane so much that she dropped the pen in her hand.
"Are you serious?" she asked.
"Yeah, we fought, and he lost, then ran away saying that next ti he'd make suffer," David replied, very relaxed as he said it.
Jane looked incredulous.
She touched his hands and chest to check his condition.
"Did you really beat him?" she asked.
It might seem to Jane that it was rather impossible for David to defeat Enzo Rothschild.
The problem was that the man was really very strong.
In the Rothschild Family, he probably only lost to a few old n.
"I'm already very strong, of course I can defeat him, although with a surprise attack," David replied.

He then told Jane the details of the fight in a more serious way to make her believe him.
"This is shocking," Jane said after hearing it all.
She finally believed it.
"Well, now that that man has lost, the problems with the Rothschild Family are drastically reduced," she said.
"Aren't there still so who are stronger than him?" asked David, sowhat confused by Jane's words.
"The older and most powerful mbers of my family rarely get involved in affairs like this," Jane replied. "So it can be said that Enzo is the biggest problem. Even though you basically stole the family's biggest treasure, matters with the older mbers can be settled with talks. You know, old people have different ntalities.
Sotis they're grumpy, but sotis they prefer not to make a fuss because they want their quiet lives to be undisturbed. I'm sure they will accept you into the Rothschild Family as my lover once you show that you use the power of Zeus well."
Jane's explanation made sense. Perhaps this was the reason why his dealings with the Morgan Family were so easy.
Whether it was Stetson or Marcos, they were too lazy to complicate matters.
"Tomorrow, how about we go to the Rothschild Family's main house? I'll have all the mbers gather," Jane said again.
