Wen Qiao paused in her tracks, tightened her grip on Fu Jinghen’s hand, slipped down the scarf hiding the lower half of her face, turned her head to Fu Jinghen, and complained, "He’s mocking ."
Fu Jinghen cast a cool glance at Qi Ming, "If you can’t speak nicely, then shut your mouth."
After that, he turned his gaze back to Wen Qiao, eyes softening to the utmost, "Don’t bother with him."
Qi Ming: "..."
He finally understood what it ant when people said "Once you have a wife, you forget your mom."

He pressed his chest, feigning a look of heartache, latched onto Wen Shu’s arm, and leaned on her shoulder in a needy fashion, seeking consolation, "Shushu, they’re bullying ."
Wen Shu’s body stiffened imperceptibly. She glanced subconsciously at Fu Jinghen, noticing all his attention was devoted to the woman he was holding. Wen Shu chuckled, "I side with reason, not relations."
Qi Ming’s shoulders slumped down like a frost-bitten eggplant, heaving a long sigh, "I get it, I’m just a Suancai fish, sour, pathetic, and superfluous."
Wen Qiao mocked him without rcy, "How old is that joke you’re using? Isn’t it stale and boring?"
Qi Ming instantly straightened up and looked at Fu Jinghen, "Little uncle, she’s mocking ."

Qi Ming imdiately fell silent.

Finally, quiet settled in the elevator. Wen Qiao bent her elbow and nudged the man next to her, half-facing Fu Jinghen, "My scarf is falling off."
Fu Jinghen readjusted her scarf for her, "There."
Wen Qiao stood up straight and her gaze accidentally swept over the polished elevator doors. She saw the woman standing behind them, staring intently at the back of her man, while Qi Ming was talking to her – whatever he was saying, it appeared she wasn’t really listening.
Wen Qiao raised an eyebrow, intrigued, and quietly observed Wen Shu in the elevator to see how long she would keep looking.
After a while, Wen Shu withdrew her gaze from Fu Jinghen, only to et Wen Qiao’s leisurely stare.
In the bright, mirror-like doors of the elevator, their gazes collided—one open and fearless, the other embarrassed and quick to look away.
"Shushu? Shushu?" Seeing that Wen Shu hadn’t responded to him for quite so ti, Qi Ming lifted his hand and snapped his fingers in front of her, "Shushu, snap out of it."
