Wen Qiao: "...Oh."

"Master, please help put the luggage in the trunk."

"Sure."

The driver got out of the car, helped her put the luggage in the trunk, then got back in the car and stepped on the gas. This ti, the nanny car, which had made a round trip to Yujia Garden twice in twenty minutes, finally drove away from this place.

Fu Jinghen watched the car leave his view, his hands clasped into fists behind his back. Because of the force, the veins on the backs of his hands appeared particularly prominent.

The already spacious villa beca eerily quiet at this mont. After a long ti, Fu Jinghen finally lowered his gaze and turned back to his room.

The airport was very quiet late at night, and Jiang Yao quickly completed the boarding procedures. She walked on one side of Wen Qiao, with Xiao Chu on the other.

Xiao Chu had noticed sothing was off with Wen Qiao when she got in the car and, very tactfully, hadn’t asked what had happened or deliberately tried to cheer her up. She just went about her business as usual.

After getting on the plane, Wen Qiao said, "I’m going to sleep for a bit, wake up when we land," and then closed her eyes.

It was then that Xiao Chu finally gestured to Jiang Yao, asking what was wrong with Wen Qiao.

Jiang Yao shook her head, not speaking.

In fact, she truly didn’t know what had happened between Wen Qiao and Fu Jinghen; she could only guess that they had had a conflict, and not a minor one at that.

The first-class cabin, with only Wen Qiao, Jiang Yao, and Xiao Chu, was very quiet.

The brief sensation of weightlessness brought on by the plane’s takeoff dissipated as it leveled out into smooth flight, and lights in the cabin gradually dimd. It was then that Wen Qiao slowly opened her clenched eyes.

Outside the window was a thick veil of night. Wen Qiao turned her head and quietly gazed out.

After an indeterminable amount of ti, she lifted her hand to wipe the corner of her eye, quickly rubbing the moisture onto her pants.

Whether before or now, Wen Qiao was always beautiful, with a pleasant personality, and was well-liked. She never lacked suitors.

She wasn’t the perfect goody-two-shoes. In high school, amidst youthful naivety, she only had a vague understanding of romance, but if a boy she liked ca along, she wouldn’t shy away from a bit of puppy love.

In college, her understanding of relationships deepened. Freed from the tornt of middle and high school, many behaved like wild horses unleashed, with advances and confessions being bolder than they had been in high school.

She was soone who followed her heart; if she saw soone she liked, if she felt a spark, she would try dating them.

There’s a saying that not dating in college is a waste of four wonderful years.

But with those people, she always felt as if there was sothing separating them, never feeling the heart-fluttering sensation during their ti together, nor did she experience the blushing and heartbeats that co from a re glance, as depicted in idol dramas, let alone the intense, heartbreaking romance.

Wen Qiao was very casual with her forr boyfriends, interacting as naturally and freely as with friends.

Wen Qiao always thought maybe the problem lay with her. However, after entering this book and seeing Fu Jinghen for the first ti, her heart, which remained dormant like an extinct volcano despite nurous romances, suddenly erupted with searing magma.

Because she had read the original story, she knew that another held Fu Jinghen’s true love. She had even considered stepping aside for them, even going so far as to suggest strategies for him to win the heart of the one he loved.
