Just like that, the Emperor took down Xichu City without a single fight, and then led the troops straight towards the Xichu royal residence.
On the other side.
Sikong Yi and the others were frantic.
"Bastards! A pack of ingrates!" King Zhao Batu of Xichu City, his face turning green with anger, his lips white, his body shaking uncontrollably, his fists clenched so tightly his nails dug into his flesh, exclaid, "I've been nothing but generous to them, how could they betray ! Why! Why is this happening!?" Zhao Batu found it hard to accept.
"I really didn't see this coming," Sikong Yi said with a bitter smile, "We prepared so much, and yet we still failed—and so quickly too."
"We should have seen it coming, actually," Li He sighed deeply, "The Human Emperor has ruled the Human Territory for thousands of years, his prestige is too great, all the soldiers admire the Human Emperor and see him as their idol... The soldiers in Xichu City had no desire to be enemies with the Human Emperor, so they opened the gates and surrendered."
"Enough, stop talking nonsense and think about how to escape," Duanmu Lengqiu urged anxiously, "The Human Emperor will be here any mont."
"There is a secret passage in the royal mansion that leads directly outside the city..." Zhao Batu said.
"Lead us there, quickly!"

After a lengthy walk, they reached the exit and burst forth, fleeing rapidly towards the Northeast—they had long decided that if their plan failed, they would seek refuge in the Demon Territory.
Why didn't they choose the Demon Clan Territory? The reason was simple: the Demon Clan Territory was too far from Xichu City, they feared unexpected incidents might occur along the way, so they opted for the nearer Demon Territory instead.
After over a month of planning, their battle strategy went up in smoke! It didn't have any effect, it was truly laughable.
Furthermore, those noble families and Sects, upon hearing that Xichu City had been breached, imdiately changed their tactics, recalling the experts they had dispatched and no longer supporting Sikong Yi and his group.

It was all but a matter of monts.
Hardly had Sikong Yi and the others fled when the Human Emperor arrived at the Xichu royal mansion with his army.
"They've fled?" The Human Emperor roared furiously, "Pursue! Chase them down! Even if they flee to the ends of the earth, I want them captured!!!"
Hundreds of thousands of troops sprang into action, starting a manhunt for Sikong Yi and his companions.
After searching the city inside and out several tis, they still couldn't find Sikong Yi and the others...
Days later, the Human Emperor received news that Sikong Yi and the others had fled to the Demon Territory. He hastily contacted the Demon Emperor to demand their surrender, only to be flatly refused, leaving the Human Emperor seething with rage.
The Demon Emperor's reason for refusal was simple: he'd never seen Sikong Yi and the others!
"Unacceptable! I cannot let this matter rest!" the Human Emperor could not swallow the indignity and alone, forced his way into the Demon Territory.
After receiving news of this, the Demon Emperor quickly rushed to the scene.
The Demon Territory is vastly different from the Human Territory: while the Demon Territory is mostly made up of mountains, the Human Territory is almost entirely plains, and the climates differ too—the Demon Territory is sowhat arid, while the Human Territory is relatively humid, and the environnts are not the sa either, with the Demon Territory being rather desolate and the Human Territory being more beautiful... There are too many differences, which need not all be listed here.
The Demon Emperor is a dark-skinned man wearing a robe, with pitch-black hair, thick eyebrows, large eyes, a tall and sturdy fra; he exudes a commanding presence. Of course, this is just an Illusion Transformation; his true form is that of a giant gorilla. After cultivating into a spiritual being, he transford into a human figure, growing step by step until he beca the Demon Emperor.
Let's just say, the life of the Demon Emperor is legendary. In the Demon Territory, the Demon Emperor's word is law; almost akin to edicts backed by the authority of the Nine Cauldrons, and all mbers of the Demon Race obey him unconditionally.
Many years ago, the Demon Emperor and the Human Emperor were sworn enemies. The two had battled for thousands of years and had not yet determined a victor. The passage of ti has not diluted their animosity; as long as they live, they will continue to battle until a victor erges.
