Charlotte, who had been chatting with Ling Kong, wore a look of disbelief upon seeing him use his own fork to feed Yiyi. In high society, etiquette and hygiene are paramount, and sharing utensils is unheard of because of saliva; only very close people dare to do this.

Yet Ling Kong used his own fork to feed that little girl, gazing at her with such indulgence and tenderness, a sharp contrast to the mature aloofness he displayed while chatting with her. At that ti, he seed less like a boy and more like a genius with a mind surpassing financial tycoons, making it hard to believe he was only fourteen.

Even in front of him, she felt overshadowed, willingly wanting to admire him.

But now, the person in front of her was so different, smiling so genuinely, unlike the polite smile he had given her.

It was a heartfelt, happy expression, and his gaze at the little girl was uniquely gentle, like water or a spring breeze, radiating affection as though the child were a princess being carefully cared for.

She felt a bit uncomfortable inside and looked at Yiyi with a hint of disdain; this little girl didn’t seem that special, though cute and endearing, but a bit too young with a less than pleasant temperant.

The crucial thing is she’s not a particularly smart or impressive child, lacking any standout intelligence, just an ordinary kid. Just now in the garden, she was so playful and childish, completely a pampered little princess who only knows eating, drinking, and having fun.

She really couldn’t understand why Ling Kong would spoil such a completely useless little girl.

"Is this Yiyi your adopted sister?" she asked Ling Kong with great interest.

"No, she’s a friend’s child left in our care while her parents went to Europe," Ling Kong replied while elegantly picking up the milk bottle to pour the little girl a glass, coaxing her to drink. "Have so milk."

Yiyi showed a troubled expression, "No, Brother Ling Kong, I don’t like milk."

"If you don’t drink milk, you won’t grow taller. Look how short you are, only reaching my waist. Do you want to remain a little shorty?"

Yiyi compared their heights and hesitated. She certainly didn’t want to be a shorty; she couldn’t beco a great beauty like that. Great beauties are tall and slender, and importantly, standing beside Brother Ling Kong so short didn’t look good.

"But I’ve already gained a pound since last month, drinking milk will make fatter." Her small face was filled with worry; since she ca to the Ji Family a year ago, she’d gained six or seven pounds, which was scary. Although everyone says she’s cute and not fat.

But what if she keeps growing sideways and turns into a little ball? By then, she’d just be rolling around.

"Where are you fat? Not fat at all. Now is the ti for growth and developnt, you need more nutrition to have good skin and be healthy in the future." Ling Kong poked her cheek, liking her chubby and fair.

Yiyi thought so too, that good nutrition contributes to a good body shape in the future. For the sake of a beautiful figure, she’d reluctantly agree.

"Alright then." The little girl, with an air of granting a favor, opened her mouth and slowly drank the milk.

"No wonder Yiyi’s self-care skills are a bit lacking since her parents aren’t around," Charlotte said with a smile.
