Felix transported himself directly to his hotel from the [Absolute Domain]. The first thing that ca to his mind was to call his mom and Ben to check up on them, but before that, he was in desperate need of a hot shower to wash off the blood and gri coating his hair and skin, and to thrash the clothes he had on, now shredded in various parts from the battle.

He was pulling the hoodie over his head, when he rembered the crown was still there and he exclaid in surprise. Because Lilith had told him he could keep it, Felix forgot to still leave it behind, as it was in the castle where he stored most of the stuff he obtained.

But just as those thoughts crossed his mind while touching the crown, Felix suddenly lost its feel and couldn’t find it on his head again.

He reeled around, looking to see where it might’ve fallen but found no traces of it. That led him to run up to the full body mirror in the room to see if it was tangled anywhere in his hoodie which he still had over his head and was pleasantly surprised by what he saw next.

"W—what is this?" Felix blurted in surprise, as he saw the reflection of a dull black halo sitting over his head. And though he hadn’t seen the old crown transform into it, he knew it had to be it and made a ntal note to inspect it later.

He wasn’t too surprised by the crown’s effect as he had literally picked the crown from a throne seat in a realm once owned by a God. But at the sa ti he didn’t expect too much from it as the crown looked too worn to be of any long-term use.

He made his way to the bathroom at the convenience of the crown, now a halo that followed him around, and took his ti scrubbing the dried blood and gri off his skin and dirty hair thoroughly, before stepping out to dry and comb his white hair to perfection and putting on a fresh outfit as he trashed the forr at a corner for the hotel cleaners to dispose of later.

He then took out his old phone and rembered he had planned on getting a new one, but one thing has led to the other and for the past seven days now since he arrived on Earth, he had been caught up.

He made a short ntal list of everyone he had to call, naly: Mom, Ben, John, and Elizabeth. He then dialed the first and most important on the list.

It didn’t take long for his mom to pick up as soon as he dialed her number, and he was instantly bombarded with a torrent of questions.

"Felix? Is that you? Where are you? What happened? I was worried to death, I heard what happened on TV. Are you okay my child?" Mrs. Thomasville’s worried voice ca from the other end of the phone.

"Mom, yes, it’s . I’m fine," Felix replied with a smile.

"Oh my God, I was so worried. Are you sure you’re fine? They said you went through three buildings. No one’s fine after that. No one survives that!" Mrs. Thomasville complained worriedly.

"But I did, Mom. I survived it, and I’m fine—do I sound like I’m in any pain? And I took care of the dark creature as well," Felix replied with a roll of his eyes. But his heart ward at hearing his mom worrying over his well-being.

Felix spoke with her for a while longer, exchanging questions and pleasantries—and assuring her he was fine for the Nth ti.

According to her, she was no longer at her mom’s place, but was in town squatting with a good friend of hers. Apparently, she ca back as soon as she heard what happened to him on the news.

After a lengthy conversation, Felix also learnt that the world was holding a curfew for his safe return, and every midnight people trooped out of their hos in numbers to light a candle for him.

Felix wasn’t comforted by this, but was in fact amused. Would they have done any of that if he was just so random guy who went missing along with a dark creature? Heck, that was farfetched. Would they have done any of that if he was so low-rank Sage who went missing with a dark creature?

The answer was simple, no.

They only showed concern because he was too invaluable a at shield to lose.

Felix didn’t let his mother in on his opinion and thoughts, and assured her he was going to report his status to the Sage Council as soon as possible.

Speaking of which, Felix knew he couldn’t keep hiding his status as a Champion from them, as they should already suspect it due to his sudden disappearance—not to talk of Sage Yemada already knew, and might’ve filled them in already about his disappearance.

The question remained, if he was asked ’of which Primordial?’ what his reply should be.

Should he co clean, or lie with so random Primordial na he should find when he goes back to his stream later.

Felix finally ended the call with his mother and quickly dialed the second number on the list.

Just like his mom’s, it didn’t take long for Ben to pick up, which instantly assured Felix he was safe.

"Felix? Is that you? Where are you? What happened? I was worried to death! I heard what happened on TV. Are you okay, bro?" Ben’s worried voice ca from the other end. It was the exact sa script his mother had used, making Felix burst into laughter. "Why are you laughing?! That’s not funny," Ben scread over the phone.

"I’m sorry about that, but I’ll have to stop you right there. I’m fine, I’m not hurt anywhere. Yes, I killed the dark creature. And I just got back to my hotel." Felix briefed. He wasn’t interested in another lengthy conversation trying to convince the other party he was all good.

He heard Ben exhale heavily over the phone, "That’s great to hear, man. I believed in you—I told them not to worry that you just pulled that sexy mosquito aside to exchange numbers," Ben replied jokingly, and Felix could imagine him grinning over the phone.

"Bet." Felix replied with a grin. "So do you have anything for ? Titan Capital—ish," his tone now serious.

"Uhh... yeah—yeah. I don’t know if I should be telling you this now that you just got back, but uhh... I think they got Kyle."
