My Restaurant's Guests are All Abnormal Chapter 481 - 341: This Is Probably What They Call An Arch-n
"Why bother?" Professor Moriarty leaned on his cane. Recently, he had seldom attended to his ’business,’ having been more occupied with researching the magical restaurant. Most of his ti was now spent in the newly established tavern, studying the wall where the wooden door would appear.
"..." Sherlock Hols glanced at Moriarty without a word, silently waiting for his own dish.
"Betty, co in and serve the dishes." Chen Ze clapped his hands. The professor’s dish was ready, and for Hols’s dish, Chen Ze had so ideas in mind.
"Okay, hey Manager, could you knock on the head later?" Betty approached with a request that Chen Ze had never considered.
"Huh?" Chen Ze was completely baffled. He knew the succubus in his restaurant was a foodie, but how did she suddenly develop a masochistic trait?
Seeing the look in Chen Ze’s eyes as if he were looking at a freak, Betty felt speechless, rolled her eyes, and swayed her tail.
"Don’t get the wrong idea, Manager. I just heard of a disease that I really want to catch," Betty said with a hint of dissatisfaction, but the words she spoke still sounded bizarre.
"What disease? That’s a dangerous thought you’re having," Chen Ze glanced at Betty, now sowhat suspicious that she might be under so sort of spell that changed her thinking.
Or maybe Leonardo DiCaprio had entered her mind and altered her subconscious. It was hard to say.
"Oh, it’s not so strange disease. It’s just sothing called Acquired Scholar Syndro. I think if I catch that disease, I’m sure to beco a Great Writer!" Betty said proudly, swishing her tail. She had only recently co across this term while browsing internet forums.
"...Before discussing such an impractical issue, could you please serve these dishes first?" Chen Ze felt a bit foolish even engaging in such a pointless conversation with Betty.
"Eh? Okay—" Betty, holding the dishes, went out, seeming a bit downcast.
Chen Ze clapped his hands and then made a serving of Beef Wellington, accompanied by a bowl of boiled pea shoots, which he had Betty serve as well.
Pea shoots, a dish best enjoyed in season, had been prepared by Chen Ze before. It required no special seasonings; the pea shoots soup was delicious on its own.
Chen Ze always believed that eating at dishes every day without vegetables isn’t good. Moreover, Beef Wellington paired with tender and fresh pea shoots was indeed a delightful choice.
"What is this green thing?" Sherlock Hols eyed the pea shoots soup in front of him with curiosity.
"Dear guest, this is pea shoots soup prepared by the Manager. I hope you enjoy it," Betty said with a beaming smile, then refilled the half-consud tea for Professor Moriarty.
"Pea shoots? Never heard the na, but it looks good." The green vegetables were very appetizing, especially with Chen Ze’s skill in preparing them.
Sherlock Hols scooped a bit of the soup with his spoon, tasted it, and nodded contentedly. The pea shoots soup did indeed taste splendid.
"Manager~" Betty popped back into the kitchen. She still thought Acquired Scholar Syndro suited her best, not requiring arduous study, just a knock on the head to beco an intelligent scholar. Could there be anything more wonderful?
"Stop that, it’s not as good an idea as you think. Do you know how many people get hurt before one becos a scholar?" Chen Ze rolled his eyes, then took out the Moonlight Mushroom, wanting to see if it would have so marvelous chemical reaction with the Sun Mushroom.
Betty pouted, then an idea struck her, perhaps a useful one.
"Manager~ I’m going out to clean~" Betty cheerfully said to Chen Ze and then trotted out.
Chen Ze didn’t mind, as he was busy spreading Moonlight Mushroom juice on the sliced Sun Mushrooms, which he would have to do on the other side in a mont.
"Betty is a Succubus, great detective, what do you make of that?" Moriarty had finished eating and was leisurely sipping on his tea, enjoying this leisurely ti.
"I think..." Hols lifted his head, glanced at Betty, and then hesitated for a mont.
"If all Succubi play their ga like this, then there really isn’t much for us to fear." Hols shook his head, and then set aside his knife and fork. He had finished his Wellington steak, which was very tasty; Hols liked it a lot.
Moriarty turned his head for a glance and then saw Betty tapping her head with the stick of a wooden mop.
She’s probably practicing the Iron Head skill, right?
"Hmm..." Hols licked his lips. In fact, Hols had always thought that eating was just to fill one’s stomach, and he truly had no expectations regarding taste.
Moreover, England’s cuisine really wasn’t anything to praise: it was usually fish and chips, chips and fish, or mashed potatoes with fish.
It was as bad as the weather in London.
"Manager, check please," Moriarty called out to the kitchen. He already knew that Betty didn’t handle the paynts.
"Certainly, Professor Moriarty, your al this ti is on the house," Chen Ze ca out smiling, having gotten what he most wanted.
"That’ll do, then I’ll take my leave," Moriarty glanced at Hols, then stood up and walked out. He planned to wait for Hols outside; this was not a good place for a conversation.
"Then I also take my leave. If there’s a chance, I will visit again," Hols smiled, put on his deerstalker cap, and, taking his cane, prepared to leave.
"Excuse , Mr. Hols, could you give an autograph?" Chen Ze was a bit conflicted but still asked.
"Hmm? Certainly." Hols nodded, took the pen that Chen Ze handed over, and signed his na in the notebook.
"Your pen is as magical as your restaurant," Hols remarked with a smile looking at the carbon pen.
"Mr. Hols, you’re welco to visit anyti," Chen Ze waved his hand with a smile, with the autograph and a photo together, thinking he could show it off to Conan next ti and make him green with envy.
"Hmm." Hols looked back, pushed open the door, and walked out, seeing Professor Moriarty standing there with his cane, looking at him.
"Do you need to talk?" Hols asked Moriarty, taking a calm drag on his cigarette.
"We’ll et again next ti," Moriarty glanced at Hols and then turned to leave. He had all the ti in the world to slowly play this detective ga with Hols.
"...I actually forgot!" Moriarty felt a bit of regret; he had planned to wait for Ronna.
Damn Sherlock Hols!
