"Hey, what is this thing?" the little girl curiously looked at the flower in front of her. It was a flower she had never seen before, very big and also very fragrant.

"Sweetheart, don’t touch it carelessly; this is a Red Spider Lily, it’s poisonous." The man stood in front of the girl, looking at his daughter with affection.

"Daddy, Daddy~" The girl tried hard to follow behind her father. Behind them stretched a wasteland, war had destroyed everything.

"Good girl, this thing here, is a Lamp fruit, it’s edible." The man watched with a smile as his daughter clumsily plucked the Lamp fruit.

"Daddy won’t eat?" The daughter looked at her father, puzzled. The Lamp fruit was quite big, seemingly enough for two people to eat.

"Daddy’s not hungry, dear. You eat first." The man turned his head to look around; it was too dark here. Although due to the war, there should no longer be any beasts, he was still very cautious, guarding against the possibility of a collapsing building or other people showing up.

"It’s so delicious~" The daughter raised her head, looking at her father with juice all over her little hands.

"Good girl, you have to wipe the juice off. Otherwise, if a little mouse slls it and cos along, that would be troubleso~" The daughter nodded in semi-understanding.

The setting sun stretched the shadows long.

"Boss, I suspect you’re ssing with ." Betty lay lethargically on the table; she had just struggled to finish the dark cuisine that Chen Ze had requested her to eat, and now she felt her stomach churning once again.

"I’m not, I didn’t, don’t talk nonsense." Chen Ze imdiately ca back with a triple denial. Who was joking? Words like ssing with you aren’t to be taken lightly.

He was aware that Lafra was still upstairs, and if she overheard and got the wrong idea, Chen Ze’s days would be much harder.

"Petty." Betty glanced at Chen Ze; she still didn’t understand what she could have done to deserve such a misfortune.

Chen Ze rolled his eyes. Thanks to Betty, he might have to endure Lafra’s "loving" cooking for a long ti to co. Was this even a life for a person?

Chen Ze felt even a dog wouldn’t eat this stuff if it was offered. And yet, in order not to end up a lonely dog, he still had to force himself to swallow this dark cuisine.

It was all Betty’s fault!

The air pressure around Chen Ze plumted again, which made Betty swallow nervously, and then she quickly ran out, diligently wiping the tables. She did not want to wait and then have Chen Ze make her taste test another dish.

"Restaurant?" A quiet female voice, followed by a woman in a trench coat, carrying two weapons, walked in.

"Welco to Dream Restaurant~ Distinguished guest~" Betty hurried forward to greet her, moved to tears. As long as there were custors, Chen Ze wouldn’t make her eat his dark cuisine.

The woman did not speak but raised the weapons in her hands towards Betty, cautiously observing her surroundings.

"Guest, please feel free to dine, but please don’t point your weapons at my staff." Chen Ze ca out, manipulating the Magic Circle, taking control of the woman’s weapons.

"New humans, huh." The woman briskly laid down her weapons aside, then slumped into a chair nonchalantly.

Chen Ze glanced at her. It seems she ca from a world similar to Earth, at the very least her clothing style and the two Winchesters seed very familiar.

"Guest, may I take your order?" Betty handed over the nu.

The woman took the nu and realized she couldn’t understand a thing, but she saw so very familiar pictures on it.

"I’ll have one of these, and this, and this too," the woman said, pointing to the nu one by one, and Betty took note carefully.

"Manager, one order of Mapo Tofu, one Red Braised Pork Suite, and one Stir-fried Bamboo Shoots with at," Betty shouted toward the kitchen, then poured the woman a glass of lemon water.

"Please wait a mont, call if you need anything," Betty said as she backed away and continued to wipe down tables and chairs.

The woman gave Betty an appraising look, then offered her critique, a woman who could be considered a beauty, save for her flat chest.

However, the taste of this restaurant was quite unique, seemingly fond of cosplay, having the woman dressed up as a waitress. She wondered how her tail was attached.

But it seed the owner didn’t have much money, hiring flat-chested won as defective products.

Betty inexplicably shivered, feeling a sudden dip in her spirits. She couldn’t fathom why, but it seed as if her soul had just been dealt a severe blow.

The woman took a small sip from her cup. After all, the other party was a New Human, if they had any ill intentions toward her, there was absolutely no escaping, so she might as well accept it outright.

"This is..." The woman stared at the cup in surprise. There was a sweet and sour taste within, and most importantly, there was sugar.

Sugar was a scarce commodity, a one-kilogram bag could sell for three hundred new currency, and even for a bounty hunter like her, sugar had to be consud sparingly, bit by bit.

Could this be a scam shop? That was the first thought that ca to the woman’s mind. After all, many black shops like to offer a glass of water and then charge you an exorbitant fee after you drink it.

But then she thought of the man she had just seen, a New Human, and she figured it was better to lose money than to lose one’s life; money could be earned again, but once a life was gone, it was truly gone.

"Eh, this restaurant doesn’t have any music?" The woman propped her chin on her hands, looking around impatiently. It seed odd that a seemingly decent restaurant lacked music.

"I’m very sorry, I’ll go and ask..." Betty quickly approached, but before she could finish her sentence, a lodious music began to play.

"Tsk, who wants to listen to this sentintal stuff? Can’t you play so exciting rock music?" The woman fully demonstrated what it ant to be a ’tough girl’.

Chen Ze’s mouth twitched. What was wrong with this song? It was his restaurant; he could play whatever music he wanted. Moreover, he had just used the Magic Circle to sense that Lafra’s power fluctuations had suddenly beco much more intense.

He figured if he didn’t act soon, Lafra was about to co down and start a fight.

"Why should you shed tears when I have yet to cry..." After a very brief intro, a gentle voice filled the entire restaurant.

The woman, about to continue speaking, suddenly froze.

"Daddy, daddy, what is this?" the daughter asked excitedly, looking at the object in front of her.

"My sweet daughter, this is a sunflower," the man replied gently, smiling as he crouched down and stroked his daughter’s head.
