Chen Ze scratched his head as he was looking at the new attribute he had just acquired.

"[You made a rather good chiffon cake, dessert-making experience increased by 8 points]"

"[Passive effect of Dessert Enthusiast has been enhanced]"

"[You have obtained the passive ’Pastry Chef’]"

"[The desserts you make have a low chance of gaining random attribute effects]"

Chen Ze had just finished making Lafra’s chiffon cake when he was bombarded by a series of system prompts.

"A pastry chef, huh..." Chen Ze muttered pensively. He had to admit, of all the dishes he made, desserts were what he made the most.

So it was within his expectations that the Pastry Chef’s skills improved quickly.

"Lafra, here’s your chiffon cake," Chen Ze said as he served the cake.

"Chen Ze, did you tell him sothing?" Lafra asked while eating the cake.

"Hm?" Chen Ze blinked, Hastur?

"He suddenly said he wanted to hold so sort of... concert? And he asked us to provide a venue," Lafra narrowed her eyes. The cakes Chen Ze made were getting tastier.

"Hmm... I’ll talk to him if he cos by tonight," Chen Ze said, feeling a bit bald. Were concerts sothing you could just decide to do?

He didn’t consider that starting with no fa, basically no one would co, not to ntion that other worlds didn’t have concerts in the first place.

Chen Ze felt Hastur might just be a bit too hasty, planning to hold a concert at the Bird’s Nest without even accumulating any fa.

"Mhm, I’ll take five of these cakes to go," Lafra said as she took out a gemstone from her pocket.

"No need, Lafra, what you gave before is great. It can cover ten tis the al cost," Chen Ze refused Lafra’s gemstone. He had tried the magic stone Lafra gave him before, which could be described as overwhelmingly beautiful.

To Chen Ze, it was worth it for ten tis over.

"Lafra, do you know about the Soul Abyss?" Chen Ze rembered Flea, although she had said that soone like Lafra could not possibly be faithless, he thought it best to ask.

"I know, but why do you ask?" Lafra frowned at Chen Ze.

"I was just wondering, is there any possibility that a soul in the Soul Abyss could be retrieved?"

Lafra shook her head, then nodded, leaving Chen Ze completely baffled.

"To be precise, it’s both possible and impossible," Lafra said as she took a sip of her cola.

"Dun dun dun~"

"The Soul Abyss is the forsaken place of the gods, and there’s basically no chance for a soul to escape from there. To get out, you’d at least have to reach the level that could break through the gods’ seal," Lafra said, comfortably leaning back in her chair.

"Do you believe in gods, Lafra?" Chen Ze asked, curious.

"Yes, I have always been a follower of that one," Lafra nodded.

"Which god do you believe in?" Chen Ze asked curiously, knowing that Lafra was the Blood Ancestor. Betty had ntioned that vampires were a race created by Lafra.

"Hmph, why should I tell you?" Lafra turned her head away.

"By the way, why are you asking these questions?" Lafra was well aware that Chen Ze was from another world.

"Oh, that... " Chen Ze briefly explained Flea’s situation.

"You! You bastard! Die ten thousand tis!" Lafra jumped down angrily, stomped hard on Chen Ze’s foot, and stord off hugging her cola.

"Ss... What did I do wrong again?" Chen Ze was baffled.

Lafra was so angry that she didn’t even take the five servings of chiffon cake.

After sending away Lafra in a huff, Chen Ze returned to the kitchen, beginning to experint with new recipes under Betty’s incredulous gaze.

"So you are the apostate Reinhardt?" the Red-Robed Presiding Judge of the Court of Judgnt flipped through the docunts in his hand.

The figure sweeping to one side paused for a mont.

"Apostasy, providing shelter for sinners, and you even killed two innocent little girls?" the Presiding Judge sneered a few tis.

"And then you killed Count of Normandy on the streets, who had made contributions to the Church?" The Presiding Judge looked at the old man in front of him, whose body was covered in blood from the prolonged interrogation and whipping.

"..." A faint voice.

"What did you say?" The Presiding Judge frowned and leaned in a bit closer.

"I... have no guilt in my heart... have no guilt towards my Lord..." I am guilty towards my own child, he left unsaid.

Reinhardt always rembered his daughter, that well-behaved and adorable girl who liked to snuggle into his arms and listen to his stories.

But because of that damned noble, she t her untily death, and at that ti, he, for the sake of the Church and his own future, swallowed his pride and beca the Knight Commander.

Every ti he thought of this, Reinhardt felt as if there was a sword in his heart, constantly stabbing his soul.

Now, he had taken his revenge, for his daughter.

"Heh, unrepentant, the execution will be carried out tomorrow." The Presiding Judge wiped his clothes and left the cell.

Reinhardt lay on the thorny bed, it was painful, but compared to the anguish in his soul, such pain was nothing to fear.

Is there still one day left... God of Light, will you accept the soul of your follower...

"Lord Reinhardt?" The sweeping servant stealthily approached him.

"It’s really you! Lord Reinhardt!" The servant looked joyously at the old man before him.

"You are..." Reinhardt furrowed his brow; he didn’t rember this young man.

"My lord, it’s . If it wasn’t for you, my mother and I would have starved to death." The servant hurriedly helped Reinhardt sit up, making him lie on a less prickly straw bed.

"Thank you... you..." Reinhardt couldn’t rember who this was; after becoming the Knight Commander, he had helped many poor people.

"Lord Reinhardt, long story short, I don’t believe you’re such a person. I am friends with the guard of the cell, and tonight I will co to push the chamber pot. You hide inside, and I will take you out!" The servant spoke urgently, looked around, then left.

Reinhardt stretched out his hand; he so wanted to tell the young man who had co to repay his gratitude, not to bother.

But his weakened body prevented him from speaking up.

At night, the servant ca as promised, bringing with him an empty chamber pot.

"Lord, please get in quickly. I will take you out!" The servant looked urgently at Reinhardt.

"Thank you, but I won’t go..." Reinhardt rejected the other’s kindness, not wanting to involve the kind young man.

"There’s no ti, my Lord, forgive !" The servant lifted Reinhardt and stuffed him into the chamber pot.

Then there was jostling, sounds of shifting objects, and after a while, all went quiet around him.

"Leye, this ti you’ve brought an apostate, you’re going to have to pay a lot of money." The voice of the servant ca from outside the chamber pot.

"Don’t worry, buddy, I’ll give you five Gold Coins!" A stranger’s voice.

"Heh heh, caught another cunning escapee~ I wonder how much the reward will be this ti." Listening to Leye’s voice, Reinhardt’s heart turned ice-cold.

It was all fake, from beginning to end, no servant who had been helped coming to repay a debt, just a person consud by greed.
