"So, he broke your legs?" Lafra felt an even greater headache coming on; she had just returned to her bedroom, intending to rest a bit, when she saw the Head Maid co in with tears streaming down her face.

Lafra, of course, knew that her Head Maid and the Death Knight Chef were a couple, although she also wondered how a Death Knight ca to fancy a Banshee.

"Yes, Master, I really have no idea what ’Coca-Cola’ is!" The Death Knight Chef’s eyes moistened as he said this, even though he had no tears.

"Indeed, Master, and Butler Harvey even asked Vivi to prepare so... Galibi Chop Rice, but I’ve been in the negative plane for so long, I’ve never even heard of Galibi Chop Rice..." The Banshee wailed loudly, continuously casting her Banshee’s Wail spell.

For Lafra, the Banshee’s Wail had no effect on her—truth be told, she wouldn’t care even if a whole clan of Banshees wailed beside her.

The problem was... it was too noisy!

Lafra sighed heavily and glanced at the Death Knight lying on the floor, his legs indeed both broken.

Lafra could tell at a glance that it was her Butler who had done it; in the castle, only her Butler, the Dragon Bone Servant, could easily break a Death Knight’s legs.

"So, where’s Harvey?" Lafra thought she should call Harvey over as soon as possible since there was no Coca-Cola or curry pork chop rice in this world.

"Lord Harvey... after he hit , he left the castle, saying he was going to Abyss City to look for a chef to do it..." The Death Knight strained to recall.

Lafra took a deep breath. Did that bastard intend to cripple all the chefs in Abyss City?

How was she supposed to get along after this? How could she keep up a pretense of dignity at the Dark Council? Could she no longer happily bicker with Lao Gu?

It was common knowledge to look at the master before striking a demonic hound, but soon the whole negative plane would know that the great, ancestral Vampire, Lafra Caroline, was a maker of cripples?

How could she continue to mingle with such notoriety!

"Get that bastard back here! If I hear even a whisper of bad rumors outside, I’ll break his legs!"

Once things had finally settled down, Lafra sat in her chair with dignity, allowing her maids to fix her hair and help her change into her nightgown—which was also blood-red.

"Master, everything’s been taken care of," the maid said respectfully, curtsying to the side.

Lafra looked at herself in the mirror—the blood-red nightgown, her exquisite face, her petite stature, all as always.

"Good, you may leave now. Serve when I dress again tomorrow," Lafra said with her usual dignity, waving her hand calmly, as the air of nobility engulfed the room.

"As you wish, Master," the four maids slowly left the room, and the door closed with a "click."

"Ah, one tires through the day just for this mont," Lafra said with a laugh as she flopped onto her soft bed.

"So soft~" Lafra hugged her pillow, rolling back and forth on the big bed.

"Maintaining authority in front of outsiders is so exhausting..." Lafra muttered as she lay her head on the pillow, slowly closing her eyes.

"One tires through the day just for this mont!" the four maids wiped drool from their mouths as they watched the scenes within the viewing crystal, their hearts nearly lting.

"Lady Lafra is still so adorable!"

"Lady Lafra is the best!"

"Keep it down!" hissed the maid holding the viewing crystal at the keyhole, as she secretly fild.

"Yes, Vice President!"

"Humph, go back and send this docunt to all the mbers of Lafra’s Fan Club to see." The maid nodded vigorously; this was a rare and precious piece of information from Mistress Lafra!

"Rember, it’s for private viewing only. It’s strictly forbidden for non-mbers to see it, otherwise..." the vice-president added.

"Otherwise we’ll break her legs!" another maid chid in imdiately.

"Break her legs?" the vice-president frowned. The punishnt was supposed to be a deduction of ten years’ worth of subsidies.

"Those were Lady Lafra’s words this afternoon..." the maid quickly explained.

anwhile, Lafra had no idea her dignity had been swept away. She felt as though she had fallen asleep, and yet also that she hadn’t.

"Lafra... the manager is calling you ho for dinner..." In her sleep, Lafra frowned; she could always hear a faint whisper.

"Lafra... the manager says it’s ti to co ho for dinner..." The whispers repeated over and over again, growing increasingly uncomfortable for Lafra.

Lafra sat up abruptly on the bed. She felt she had just had a nightmare, which was unreasonable. Ever since she beca Transcendent, she no longer had dreams, so why did she have one now?

"Lafra, the manager says it’s ti for dinner..." The whispers ca again.

"Manager? Dinner?" Lafra rembered a person, an ordinary human with no significant strength, and a strange restaurant with a very powerful Magic Circle.

"Lafra... it’s ti to eat..." The whispers returned, repeating incessantly.

"Alright, alright! I’m going to eat now!" Lafra muttered irritably, covering her ears and stamping her foot.

Then the whispers disappeared, as if they had never been there.

Lafra, looking annoyed, clapped her hands, and then four new maids ca in, respectfully helping her get dressed.

"Damn human, how did you manage to get Her Highness involved?" Lafra understood now. Only soone with the strength to do this, and those eerie whispers, could make her think of that person she had sealed away so ti ago.

"Humph, you’ll pay for this today!"

Chen Ze was chatting with Betty.

"Betty, are there any special dishes from your area?" Chen Ze grabbed a notebook; he planned to learn more about cooking.

"Special dishes? I don’t know. I think the tastiest thing in my city is sausage bread." Betty had bought a lot of sausage bread; it was economical.

"Is there any dish that glows?" Chen Ze thought of Liu Maoxing – he had almost managed to make a Glowing Magical Mapo Tofu last ti.

"Not that I know of... I’ve never eaten anything like that. You should ask Miss Lafra," Betty shook her head. How many dishes could soone like her have tried?

Betty felt that she had eaten less in her previous life than she had at Chen Ze’s place.

"Okay, but I don’t know when Lafra will co. Although Hastur said he would ask her for , whether or not Lafra is willing is still up in the air..." Chen Ze scratched his head in worry.

"Humph, human, how did you persuade Him to call ? Do you miss that much? If you’re willing to kneel and lick my feet, I might consider seeing you," ca the sound of wind chis, along with a familiar tsundere declaration.

Chen Ze imdiately pulled out a 2-liter bottle of Coca-Cola and handed it over.

"Glug glug glug~"
