Elevating one's talent to the Divine Dawn Grade postnatally—there was likely no public precedent for this in the Dust Star Sea. If word of this spread, who knew how many people's attention it would attract.
"But since the Royal Court is also attempting to elevate talent to the Divine Dawn Grade, it signifies that doing so postnatally should be possible."
While Su Chen was still considering the potential impact of this matter, he suddenly realized sothing: "There are already enough difficult-to-explain things about ; adding one more or one less doesn't seem to matter."
Even if he tamorphosed to the Divine Dawn Grade, word spreading wouldn't seem to have any impact on the situation he faced.
"When you're numb to problems, you don't feel the itch anymore. I don't know how many people are already keeping an eye on ; it's just one more thing to be eyed for. Whether I am safe or not depends on the Ancient King, not on myself."
As long as the Ancient King remained strong and protected him, others would have to hold back no matter how much they coveted what he had.
Conversely, if the Ancient King's deterrence was gone, even with just his identity as a Star Seed and no other secrets, he would still be targeted, just like when he first arrived at the Bronze Sect.
Thinking of this, Su Chen suddenly felt enlightened and simply stopped agonizing over it.
"Ultimately, it's still a lack of strength, but growth takes ti." Su Chen shook his head, familiarly took out a potion from the Sacred Cauldron Cult, and downed it.
Crackle. His body gradually heated up, and his skin turned crimson red. He clearly sensed that the efficiency of the Body-Forging ditation thod had improved significantly.
"Taking the Sovereign Vajra job is like adding three Professions; developnt efficiency should stack by 30%. Although it has already been forged into a Holy Class, the boost from The Unsullied is still based on the number of Professions before the forging."
Su Chen made a rough estimate, then opened his Status Panel and glanced at it. There were currently two Professions left that he hadn't taken the job for yet.
They were the Cauldron Forger and the Healing Weaver Sage. The forr went without saying; the latter was the fourth sequence of the Lan Family's Undying Bird Holy Class, and its effect on healing injuries was still quite useful.
"The Cauldron Forger requires collecting the Heart of the Earth Core, teoric Sunken Iron, and Desolate Dragon Heart—these are already considered quite precious items. The Flawless Crystal and Universal Dust required for the Healing Weaver Sage are not as precious in comparison."
"As for surviving in the Endless Earth Abyss and observing the healthy and damaged forms of a thousand types of objects, I can use the Fortune Bronze Core to complete those simultaneously." Su Chen did a rough calculation and ford a plan for his Class advancent. "I wonder if I can purify mid-level Mist Embers right now. It'll probably be tough; my burst power is strong, but the duration is too short."
"Once I raise my developnt progress a bit more, forge the Eternal Physique, and cover my weaknesses, it should be possible."
Around him, golden lightning and scarlet flas road like living creatures. The scorching temperature distorted the air like boiling water, and crisp sounds resembling shattering glass echoed within his body as Su Chen's figure gradually beca invisible.
At the sa ti, at the Qin Family in the Bronze Core.
Qin Yun's figure suddenly appeared in the courtyard, imdiately catching the guards' attention. After a careful look, they hurriedly bowed respectfully and said, "Venerable!"
Qin Yun didn't react. The guards' gazes subconsciously fell on the object covered with a white cloth following behind him.
Those capable of standing guard or working here were not ordinary Professionals. That thin layer of white cloth couldn't hinder their vision.
With a glance, they could see the face of the person with tightly shut eyes beneath the white cloth.
"This...!" The guards' expressions turned horrified, and they staggered back several steps, finding it unimaginable.
Qin Yun still had no reaction, rely walking forward expressionlessly.
"Venerable." A ticulous butler approached. His gaze swept over, and his face instantly turned pale: "Is this Young Master Tianlin? How could he..."
The butler trembled all over, stamring, unable to speak.
Qin Yun didn't respond either, rely taking Qin Tianlin's body back to his room.
Bang!
The room door closed. The white cloth drifted down to the side, revealing Qin Tianlin's face, which still held a faint trace of agony and ferocity.
Invisible ripples outlined his features, making his five senses beco soft and peaceful.
Qin Yun's gaze lowered, and a faint throbbing pain ca from his chest. This was the grandson upon whom he had placed great hopes, and he had turned into a corpse just like that.
"Black Buddha!" Since Qin Tianlin's death, Qin Yun finally spoke his third sentence, his gaze cold and fierce.
He found it truly difficult to understand how a Great Eldritch God like Black Buddha could suddenly attack Qin Tianlin.
On the way back, his suspicions had even turned to Fan Zhao, because the person Fan Zhao had hooked up with previously was a Divine Son of Black Buddha.
"What exactly..." Qin Yun took a deep breath and pressed his right index finger against his temple. Threads of light seeping from beneath his skin condensed into tadpole-like runes, their edges carrying a jagged halo, and sank into his brain.
A muffled groan ca from Qin Yun's throat, and his expression seed sowhat pained. His fingertips trembled. Along with his movents, a wisp of Purple Fla was slowly drawn out from his temple and landed before his eyes.
The purple light flickered. It was only as thick as a finger and seed as though it would extinguish at any mont.
Qin Yun panted a few tis and loosely clasped his palms together. A massive number of symbols poured into the fla like a torrent, slowly unfurling in his palm, their edges taking on a glass-like luster.
With the influx of the massive number of symbols, the flalet gradually grew larger, while its main body beca increasingly thin, almost transparent.
At a certain mont, the fla abruptly trembled, and subsequently, a voice rang out suddenly: "I knew you would contact ."
The voice ca from the fla, identical to that of Hao Ri.
Qin Yun, however, had no desire for small talk. His voice was cold, fierce, and urgent: "What exactly happened? Why did Black Buddha attack Tianlin?"
"I'd like to know too," Hao Ri responded without holding back.
"Could it be that you're the one behind this mischief?" Qin Yun questioned. "How could Tianlin suddenly defeat He Muyang? Don't tell that was his own strength."
"Naturally not." Hao Ri's voice was casual, glossing over the details. "Using that Fan Zhao as a foundation, I forged a strand of Holy Class power to help this grandson of yours make a na for himself. You should be thanking ."
"Thanking you?" Qin Yun's face darkened. "Old ghost, do you really think of yourself as Spirit Shards left behind by a Blazing Sun Tier? If I reveal your true identity to the other Cults, your remaining consciousness would probably be obliterated instantly."
Hao Ri sneered, "Then why didn't you reveal it just now? If you and I hadn't cooperated and sacrificed those Morning Star Tiers to death, you wouldn't have made it out alive either."
"If you dare reveal it, we all die together."
Hearing this, Qin Yun's face twitched.
"Qin Yun, you're not a good thing either." Hao Ri's words were full of mockery. "The deal I previously agreed upon with you was to find a Divine Radiance Grade vessel for . You placed into your grandson's body, yet sealed my consciousness."
"What? Did you want to turn into his nourishnt? You look down on too much."
Qin Yun's face turned ashen. He had indeed underestimated the other party, not expecting that Spirit Shards could also traverse his seal.
Having vented his frustration, Hao Ri did not remain overbearing, instead changing his tune: "However, I can tell you straightforwardly, Qin Tianlin's death has absolutely nothing to do with . With his death, I was also drawn out and placed under everyone's scrutiny."
"Do you think this is what I wanted to see? And that Black Buddha, he ca specifically for your grandson. Even when he discovered my presence, he wasn't the least bit surprised. He had learned of this news long ago."
"Learned long ago? How did he learn..." Qin Yun's expression changed slightly. He had placed Hao Ri's Spirit Shards into Qin Tianlin's body—only two people knew of this matter. It was impossible for him to leak it, and it seed impossible for Hao Ri as well. So who else was there?
Suddenly, his eyelids twitched as he thought of soone—Qin Guang!
Although that son of his didn't know of Hao Ri's existence, he had provided those Professionals for Qin Tianlin to Class Plunder from.
Later, he was abducted into the Nether Realm by Nether Realm Creatures. It was highly likely that he revealed the characteristics of the Purple Flas, which Black Buddha indirectly learned of, leading to this sudden turn of events.
But... Qin Yun's brows were tightly knit. There were still parts that didn't make sense. Black Buddha killed Qin Tianlin, and then what?
Hao Ri still existed. What did Black Buddha gain?
Entering dormancy for several years, the other Evil Gods would likely erode much of the faith and territory that belonged to him. This was a hugely losing transaction, unless there were aspects he was unaware of.
Hao Ri, however, said, "You can go ask him face to face."
"Ask who? Black Buddha?" Qin Yun retorted. "Are you joking?"
Hao Ri's tone was indifferent: "He's rely in dormancy for a few years, not completely dead. There will be an opportunity sooner or later."
"Do you think he would tell ?" Qin Yun's expression sank like water.
The fla curled upward, bringing a long, slow whisper: "Therefore, you must help , so that I can help you."
"Help you? What are you going to do?" Qin Yun composed his mind.
"I want a vessel. Su Chen's vessel."
Hearing this na, Qin Yun's brow furrowed subconsciously, and then he shook his head: "Wishful thinking! That Su Chen is being..."
Pausing here, Qin Yun suddenly froze, suddenly thinking of a matter: Mist Embers!
There was another matter in the Bronze Sect that could be linked to Black Buddha, and that was the Mist Embers wreaking havoc on the Starfire.
According to his speculation, the improvent in the Mist Embers Starfire was highly likely due to Su Chen. This might possibly draw Black Buddha's attention.
But the one purifying Mist Embers was Su Chen, so why target Tianlin?
Could it be that Black Buddha didn't know who it was either, and Tianlin suddenly taking first place simply caught his attention?
Qin Yun's thoughts raced, and his brows knit even tighter. No, that wasn't right. Su Chen defeating Wei Zhenghong happened long before Tianlin's match.
Furthermore, it still couldn't explain how Black Buddha knew of Hao Ri's existence.
No matter how he thought about it, he couldn't figure out the reason, and a stifled anger welled up within Qin Yun.
"What about Su Chen?" Hao Ri sharply caught the hesitation in Qin Yun's words.
"Nothing." Qin Yun's voice was deadly silent. "The Ancient King takes him very much to heart. Whoever touches him dies. Besides, in your current state, how could you possibly take over his vessel?"
"That's why I need your help."
"?" Qin Yun gave a derisive chuckle. "Since you disguised yourself as the lingering Spirit Shards of a Blazing Sun Tier, why didn't you ntion exchanging for Su Chen's body just now?"
"This is the Bronze Sect's territory. If I brought up this matter, that Bronze Ancient King would probably obliterate instantly."
Hao Ri didn't doubt the decisiveness of such figures in the slightest. When their core interests were truly touched upon, they would act faster than anyone.
"You're quite clever." Qin Yun sneered. "You don't dare, yet you ask to do it?"
Hao Ri closely followed up: "If the Bronze Ancient King were no longer an obstacle, would you help ?"
A sharp gleam flashed in Qin Yun's eyes. "Cut the nonsense. What exactly is the thod? If you had the strength to deal with an Ancient King, you wouldn't have ended up in this situation."
Hao Ri was vague: "You don't need to know the specifics. Naturally, I can't deal with them, but it's not impossible to make them disappear for a period of ti."
'Them' refers to all the Ancient Kings? Not just my Master? Qin Yun's eyes flickered: "What benefit do I get for helping you?"
"Qin Tianlin's death is indeed regrettable, but compared to watching your grandson achieve Blazing Sun, wouldn't you want it for yourself?" Hao Ri's voice was low.
A scoff was squeezed from Qin Yun's throat: "Don't try to fool with that. As if I don't know what your situation is."
"Setting aside the Blazing Sun, wouldn't helping you reach Radiant Moon be enough?" Hao Ri didn't ask him to give an answer right then, rely stating, "Just watch. When my plan is realized, it won't be too late for you to make a decision."
Qin Yun took a deep breath without responding. The protective barrier enveloping the fla vanished. With a gentle breath, the Purple Fla sank into his body, and his gaze once again fell on Qin Tianlin.
"Blazing Sun... Radiant Moon... Su Chen."
Outside, as ti passed, news had already spread across Dragon Abyss, claiming that the grandson of the Bronze Sect's Venerable Qin Yun, the second-ranked individual on the Preliminary Rankings, Qin Tianlin, had suddenly been attacked and killed.
This news triggered an uproar and a flurry of discussions.
"Where did this rumor co from? How could such a figure suddenly die? Who would dare to attack him? This is the Bronze Sect's territory!"
"Was it another Sect, or the Royal Court?"
"How could it be another Sect? The Star Seeds from all Sects are here. If they truly made a move, who knows who would end up on the losing end!"
Many people didn't believe this news at all, suspecting it to be a rumor. Soon after, supplentary news arrived: The one who took action was Black Buddha.
A Great Eldritch God personally struck?
The crowd found it unimaginable. Although the various Evil God Cults had coexisted with the Dust Star Sea for many years, they were still considered strangers to the vast majority of people.
Not to ntion, many had never even heard of a Great Eldritch God of Black Buddha's caliber descending into reality.
"This Qin Tianlin actually managed to draw out Black Buddha to personally take action?"
Amidst their astonishnt, they beca increasingly perplexed. What was so special about this Qin Tianlin that he could provoke Black Buddha into personally striking?
"Could it be because he managed a rank-defying slaying against He Muyang and the others as a 6th-Tier?"
"How is that possible? This matter is indeed astonishing, but what does it amount to for a Great Eldritch God?"
"Besides, Su Chen is even more formidable than him. If it was truly because of this, what logic is there in killing off the second place but not the first place?"
Various pieces of news flew all over the place, and many still found it hard to believe. It wasn't until they noticed more and more fully ard Sect-Suppressing Army troops appearing on Dragon Abyss, initiating screenings and interrogations, that they began to faintly believe this matter.
For a ti, the atmosphere beca like the sound of the wind and the cry of cranes, with everyone fearing for their own safety. If even Qin Tianlin could be attacked and killed, let alone the rest of them.
However, to the true upper-tier factions, it was just a ripple.
A Great Eldritch God of Black Buddha's level was even more terrifying than an Ancient King. If he truly personally designed a killing trap, the vast majority of people in the Dust Star Sea would only have one path: death.
"This is the Marrow of the Morning Star?"
At the Floating Island Port, Su Chen lightly swiped his fingertip across the sensor area of the alloy box's lid. With a soft "beep," the box opened, and a rush of extrely cold white mist surged out. In the center lay a glass container, filled to about two-thirds with a pitch-black liquid.
"Why is it black?"
Su Chen reached out, picked it up, and observed it carefully before his eyes. He shook it gently, only to see the black liquid in the container scatter like ball bearings, colliding with each other continuously before finally fusing back together after a long while.
