Qing Cang hesitated slightly, shook his head, and said, "I'd better take you back first."

Evidently, due to Qin Tianlin's matter, he was sowhat unsettled.

Su Chen didn't refuse either, and the flight vehicle headed toward the Bronze Core.

Standing before the porthole and looking toward Dragon Abyss, Qing Cang couldn't help but feel emotional. "One mont, a Divine Dawn Grade Talent possessor with a dazzling future, ranking second on the Preliminary Rankings; the next mont, reduced to a corpse. Fickle world—it's nothing more than this."

"You kid really hit the nail on the head."

"What did I say?" Su Chen felt a pang of guilt subconsciously.

"Regardless of the prospects, dead is dead." Qing Cang sighed, then added, "It's fortunate too. If Qin Yun really kept it hidden and let Qin Tianlin enter that Lost Starfire, perhaps he really would have beco the Chosen of the Blazing Sun Tier profession."

Hearing this, Su Chen seed puzzled: "Senior Brother, although I didn't get along well with that Qin Tianlin, if he beca a Chosen, wouldn't that be a good thing for our Order?"

Qing Cang shook his head, explaining, "You're thinking too simply. Whenever a new Morning Star Tier is born, the major Sects and the Royal Court catch wind and move. Although years of tacit understanding keep conflicts within a controllable range, it's inevitable that a few tis they end up beating dog brains out of each other."

"If that's the case just for a Morning Star Tier, let alone the Blazing Sun Tier, a combat force that transcends the Dust Star Sea. Becoming a Chosen is one thing; realizing that potential is another."

"During this process, do you think the other factions will turn a blind eye? It would be fine if Qin Tianlin remained hidden, but if exposed, our Order would beco the target of all arrows."

At this point, Qing Cang glanced at him again. "Not to ntion, he already harbored a grudge against you. If he grew powerful, he surely wouldn't let things rest."

"Sigh." Hearing this, Su Chen sighed softly. "Although I had many frictions with him, he was at least a promising force for the Order. It's truly a pity to lose him like this."

Qing Cang's gaze was deep. "Isn't it? If only he wasn't a mber of the Qin Family, or if he was born twenty years earlier or twenty years later. It's a matter of timing and fate."

"I just don't know why this Black Buddha targeted Qin Tianlin." Qing Cang still couldn't figure it out. Aside from Black Buddha himself, clearly no one could answer.

And since Black Buddha had now fallen into dormancy, it was destined to be an unsolvable mystery.

Qing Cang was just talking and didn't delve deeper, turning to instruct Su Chen, "For the ti being, don't go to Dragon Abyss. They'll likely conduct a thorough screening. There shouldn't be other Great Eldritch Gods lying dormant, but it's best to wait."

"Ordinary Believers can be rooted out with standard detection asures. Even Divine Sons, except for the Faceless Ghost lineage, can mostly be found. Only Great Eldritch Gods possess unpredictable thods that are hard to spot without careful inspection, which might take so ti."

Perhaps afraid of scaring Su Chen, Qing Cang added, "However, right under the Ancient King's nose, as long as you don't give a Great Eldritch God the chance to get close, you won't end up like Qin Tianlin."

"I understand." Su Chen nodded. He already had the Marrow of the Morning Star in hand and couldn't be bothered to run to Dragon Abyss. As for Zhao Cheng's side, he had already had Ming Lin submit a suspicious report regarding the Dark Moon Group.

Of course, it wasn't just the Dark Moon Group; there were a few other factions included to lay the groundwork.

Ming Lin was his man. As long as it was confird he wasn't polluted by Evil Gods, there shouldn't be much issue.

"Then there's Qin Yun. With Qin Tianlin losing his life, he's probably in a terrible mood. It's hard to guarantee his mind won't beco twisted." Qing Cang pondered, looked at the attentively listening Su Chen, and sighed wistfully: "I hope these Spirit Shards that suddenly popped up can bring a turn of events."

A turn of events? Su Chen was taken aback and asked in confusion, "What turn of events?"

"What else could it be?" Qing Cang said helplessly. "You are only at the Star-Amber Grade, unable to lay a finger on that Spirit of the Vast Sun. Our Order no longer has a Divine Dawn Grade Talent. Without a turn of events, that Spirit of the Vast Sun will likely have no fate with our Order."

"Uh, you just said that becoming a Chosen wasn't a good thing," Su Chen hesitated.

"That was Qin Tianlin. If it were you, the situation would naturally be different." Qing Cang shot him a glance, his double standards on full display, yet he was also very helpless: "Alas, you are only Star-Amber Grade."

If the standards could be lowered, Qing Cang believed Su Chen really had a certain possibility of catching the eye of that Spirit of the Vast Sun.

Su Chen didn't seem to care much. "If I get it, I'm lucky; if I lose it, it's fate."

"You're quite open-minded." Qing Cang gave him a sidelong glance. "That's the Blazing Sun Tier. If you can't claim this spot, you might not have a second chance in your lifeti."

'The uniqueness of a profession is truly a massive pit,' Su Chen felt a slight stir in his heart and feigned helplessness: "What can be done about it? How about I go try the Profound Heaven Instrunt too, to see if I can elevate to Divine Dawn Grade Talent?"

"Hah." Qing Cang treated Su Chen's words as idle chatter and played along. "If you really could elevate to Divine Dawn Grade, even the Xuantian Ancient King would probably be dumbfounded."

"Is that so? Then I really must go try. If the Royal Court might be able to do it, it's not impossible for ." Su Chen grinned.

Qing Cang chuckled.

At the sa ti, around the arena, the Sect-Suppressing Army had cordoned off the area with three inner and three outer layers, constructing a Talisman Array barrier. From a distance, the central area appeared blurry.

"What happened? It looks like so major event occurred."

"Who knows? Did you see that massive bronze clock earlier? Did the Bronze Ancient King take action?"

"It must be, otherwise who else possesses such might?"

The crowd buzzed with discussion. Black Buddha's strike was incredibly fast, and Qing Cang had isolated the central area imdiately, so almost no one clearly saw what had happened.

The news of Qin Tianlin's death was currently still confined to a certain circle.

Lan Hai's expression was grave. Having arrived upon receiving the news, he wore a specially crafted combat armor, followed by squads of elites radiating fierce auras, pushing through the crowd.

"How did the first place beco Su Chen?"

The Leaderboard was extrely conspicuous; it was hard not to notice it upon arriving. Lan Hai looked at the two glaring words at the top, sowhat surprised, but not overly so.

After all, Su Chen had defeated Wei Zhenghong earlier, and now defeating He Muyang didn't seem unacceptable.

What astonished him was the na in second place. "How is it Qin Tianlin? This guy actually defeated He Muyang too?"

Lan Hai was genuinely surprised, his steps unceasing while he pondered secretly, 'Not to be trifled with. Is it Qin Yun's doing? Or other factors? That matter seems to need to be covered up for now.'

Because his son seed to have colluded with Evil Gods and caused Qin Guang's death, during his clean-up process, he conveniently uncovered another matter. Several months ago, the Qin Family had secretly gathered a group of crippled individuals who once held spots on the Holy List, but there had been no news since. Sothing likely went wrong.

He had been hesitating on how to handle this matter—whether to cover it up and hold out for a better price, or expose it to curry favor with Chu Lingyuan.

The Qin Family's power hadn't faded yet, so it was better to cover it up.

Pondering in his heart, his pace remained swift. He had already passed through layers of the Sect-Suppressing Army and arrived beside Chu Lingyuan. He glanced at the fully ard middle-aged man beside him—it was another Vice Commander of the Sect-Suppressing Army, Wan Chen's father.

"Commander Lan." Chu Lingyuan nodded.

Lan Hai asked in a low voice, "Venerable, why was an ergency blockade order suddenly issued?"

Chu Lingyuan's voice was heavy: "Qin Tianlin is dead."

"Dead?"

Lan Hai almost thought he misheard and confird it again. Seeing Chu Lingyuan nod, he felt sowhat dazed for a mont and couldn't help but look up. That na was still flashing.

"How could he die here?" Lan Hai's voice was a bit strained. Qin Tianlin was no ordinary figure; his status was exalted, and his future was vast. Who dared to assassinate him? Another Sect, or the Royal Court?

"Black Buddha personally took action to assassinate Qin Tianlin. Although the Ancient King tried his best to save him, he was unable to reverse the situation." Chu Lingyuan's expression was solemn.

"Black Buddha personally took action?" Lan Hai's Adam's apple bobbed, his astonishnt growing. How long had it been since this Great Eldritch God personally made a move?

Chu Lingyuan gave a brief explanation and issued orders: "It has currently been confird that Black Buddha's Flesh Body was Zhao Cheng, the person in charge of the Dark Moon Group. The first batch of news has arrived; of the core personnel who accompanied Zhao Cheng, only corpses remain."

"The most pressing matter is to determine if there are more Evil God Cultists on Dragon Abyss Planet, Commander Lan."

As Chu Lingyuan was dispatching orders, a subordinate hurriedly ca to report: "Venerable, we just found out that the Dark Moon Group delegation is on the Level Three Observation List."

"Level Three Observation List?" Chu Lingyuan's actions paused, sowhat surprised. Only those with suspicious tracks would be placed on the Level Three Observation List. This ant soone in the Order had long noticed sothing wrong with the Dark Moon Group, but before they could investigate clearly, Black Buddha struck.

'Soone actually managed to discover a Great Eldritch God's dormancy?' Chu Lingyuan was secretly amazed.

"Who submitted the suspicious report?" he asked.

The subordinate quickly replied, "It was a Level Five Squad Leader of the Patrol Squad, Ming Lin, and his team mber Teng Liang. The report stated that Teng Liang faintly sensed sothing amiss with the Dark Moon Group."

"Captain Ming Lin soon paid a visit to investigate, but found nothing unusual at the ti, rely submitting the report according to standard procedure."

"Paid a visit to investigate?" Chu Lingyuan was astonished. In other words, this person had face-to-face contact with Black Buddha. "To think the Patrol Squad possesses such talent."

Lan Hai's expression shifted slightly, and he whispered, "Venerable, these two seem to be Su Chen's people. Both hail from Su Chen's howorld and have a very good relationship with him."

"Su Chen's people?" Chu Lingyuan cast a surprised glance at Lan Hai, thoughtful: "That Crimson Thunder Planet truly boasts outstanding people in an extraordinary place."

The Dark Moon Group had long been listed as a subject of observation, which eased Chu Lingyuan's heavy thoughts considerably.

The dormancy of a Great Eldritch God was inherently difficult to detect. It couldn't be blad on those responsible for the screening; it wasn't a cri of battle. But Qin Tianlin was dead after all, which couldn't be considered a good thing for the Bronze Sect no matter how one looked at it.

Bringing this matter to light at least showed that those below were doing their jobs.

However, Chu Lingyuan still ordered, "First, determine whether these two have been polluted by an Evil God."

Pausing, he added, "Notify Su Chen in advance before conducting the test."

"It seems a major event has occurred."

Further away, a few people gathered, their deanor different from ordinary Professionals. "Does anyone know the situation? Even the Bronze Ancient King took action."

"This was the scene when I rushed over upon hearing the news. There should be news coming out soon. After all, it's the core of the Order, so it probably isn't anything major."

"Shouldn't what everyone cares about the most be those two people?" Soone pointed toward the Leaderboard, smiling aningfully. "Being suppressed by He Muyang and the others is one thing, but being suppressed by two 6th-Tiers... isn't that a bit too embarrassing?"

"Even if you all want to hide your strength, you shouldn't just hand your reputation over for free. What if a Star Pri is born from among you? Wouldn't you be making a na for those two for nothing?"

A burly man with a square face beside him was blunt, his voice muffled: "Shen Jiqing, if you can't stand it, why not do it yourself? You should have already undergone the Molten Casting Sacred Profession, right?"

"Brother Luo is joking. How could I have possibly undergone it?" Shen Jiqing waved his hands repeatedly.

"I am indeed curious, though. How on earth did those two do it?"

"Oh?" Shen Jiqing beca interested and looked at the speaker. His body surface faintly possessed so sort of tallic texture, and his pupils dilated and contracted. "Your Excellency Hou Yu, are you finally not hiding anymore?"

Hou Yu shook his head, his voice carrying a deep magnetism: "There's nothing to hide. It's just a matter of trying. Besides, a battle record is only left if you win; it won't be left if you fail."

"If you don't want to expose too much, you just need to hold back and concede at the last mont."

Hearing him say this, the eyes of the others brightened slightly. To say they weren't curious about the situation with Su Chen and the other guy would naturally be a lie.

They were all well aware of He Muyang's situation. For these two 6th-Tiers to actually suppress He Muyang was truly maddening.

Competing for Preliminary Champion with a 6th-Tier wasn't very interesting even if won, and it would expose one's strength instead. Conceding at the last mont was indeed a good thod.

Luo Chen looked up into the distance: "Let's wait a bit. This arena has been temporarily placed under blockade."

"I'm off to et Master." Qing Cang dropped Su Chen back at the floating island and stepped off the flight vehicle.

Before Su Chen could respond, Qing Cang couldn't wait to tear open a wind current and headed straight for that Starfire.

A fierce wind ca rushing toward his face. Su Chen raised his head and watched Qing Cang leave. The various events that had just transpired flashed through his mind.

"Phew." He let out a long breath, gathered his thoughts, and turned toward the Main Building. Once the Marrow of the Morning Star was in hand, he could go use the Profound Heaven Instrunt. Divine Dawn Grade Talent was right before his eyes.

He was quite looking forward to it. The subsequent Eternal Physique, and even the Crimson Fla Responding Thunder Great Exalted's ability to undergo the Molten Casting Sacred Profession in advance, all required the ability to ignite Morning Fire as a foundation.

'However...' Thinking of this, Su Chen's footsteps paused, suddenly realizing there was another problem. Old Hei was now in dormancy, so he couldn't continue to extract Divine Blood from him. Fuel seed to be insufficient.

'It seems I can only set my sights on other Evil Gods.'

'Hmm...' Su Chen felt a slight stir in his heart. It seed he hadn't contacted the Faceless Ghost to build rapport in a long ti. Ever since he got a portion of Divine Blood from him last ti, they had lost contact.

If the Faceless Ghost learned that Black Buddha suddenly attacked the Bronze Sect Headquarters and had a wisp of his consciousness snuffed out by the Bronze Ancient King, forcing him into a short period of dormancy...

He would probably praise his Believer for doing a good job, right?

Having dealt with Black Buddha for so long, Su Chen had also accumulated quite a bit of experience and already thought of how to approach the matter.

'But the Faceless Believer I'm disguised as is a High Priest. If a High Priest suddenly pops up, will the old Faceless Ghost get suspicious?'

'He should have so impression of Believers at this level, right?'

"I'll take so ti to explore it properly. I wonder if I can downgrade my disguise to a Priest." Su Chen wasn't too certain in his heart. The disguise ability should be downward compatible, but he hadn't actually tried it before.

Pushing open the door to the Training Room, Su Chen's eyes were unfocused: "However, if I use the Profound Heaven Instrunt to elevate to Divine Dawn Grade, it will probably be very difficult to hide it from that Lu Huai. And if I can't hide it from him, it ans I won't be able to hide it from anyone..."
