'Why does Black Buddha value this so much?'
Su Chen was curious. What did purifying the Mist Embers signify?
'Is there a major threat, or are there other factors involved?'
He wanted to ask, but ultimately swallowed his words.
As a Believer, he could ask about the characteristics, appearance, na, and even the specific effects of the Mist Embers, because his mission was to investigate their whereabouts.
However, he could not ask why Black Buddha valued it so highly. That would break his persona as a devout Believer.
After all, this was the god the Believer worshipped. Since an order had been issued, he only needed to do his utmost to execute it. The goal of all his questions should be to resolve the issue and fulfill the request as quickly as possible, not to pry into the underlying reasons behind the command.
"Understood," Su Chen replied, his voice brimming with piety. "I will do everything in my power to uncover the whereabouts of this item and report back to you as soon as possible."
"Mm," Black Buddha responded flatly, paying little mind to the attitude of the Believer before him. Every single one of his followers was just as devout and respectful in his presence.
"There is one more thing," Black Buddha added. "There is a person nad Teng Liang beside Su Chen. You must be wary of him, and you may also investigate his true strength."
'Senior Apprentice Brother Teng actually caught Black Buddha's attention,' Su Chen thought, slightly startled. He figured the Divine Son of Black Buddha must have relayed the information.
He hastily agreed to the task.
"I await your good news." The black mist gradually sank into the vertical eye symbol beneath his feet.
Su Chen imdiately erased the symbol from the ground and let out a soft sigh of relief. Dealing with these Evil Gods was ntally exhausting; not a single mistake could be made in his every move.
Although they had absolute trust in their Believers, this absolute trust was built on past experiences. If they noticed anything amiss, or even grew slightly suspicious, they might employ all sorts of impossible-to-guard-against probes.
Su Chen's mind stirred, and the surrounding scenery of the Nether Realm gradually faded away, returning him to the Nether Tower.
Finding the person who purified the Mist Embers was, to so extent, incredibly simple for him. After all, it was himself.
'It's best not to expose myself. I still need to give Black Buddha a satisfactory explanation to obtain the Heart of Spiritual Light from him. Who should I pin the bla on?'
He walked out of the Nether Tower, muttering inwardly, 'I also have to present solid, credible evidence. Given how much Black Buddha values this matter, if the evidence isn't convincing, it probably won't work. I need to think this through carefully.'
'Hmm... actually, it wouldn't be completely out of the question to expose myself,' Su Chen thought, his mind shifting.
He was already on Black Buddha's radar anyway; adding another grudge wouldn't change much.
'Mmm... better to play it safe. Who knows if Black Buddha might go crazy and target specifically. Unless I really can't find a scapegoat, I'll keep myself hidden.'
Regardless of the situation, he was almost certain to get his hands on the Heart of Spiritual Light. With that in mind, Su Chen relaxed significantly.
He was about to return to the Training Room, but before reaching the Main Building, he stopped in his tracks. Sensing sothing, he turned around and saw Ming Lin erging from the Port.
"You're out," Su Chen greeted him, rather curious. "What's the situation? How much did your talent improve?"
"Dual Scarlet!" Ming Lin was quite excited. A Crimson talent! In the past, he wouldn't have even dared to dream of such a thing.
"Dual Scarlet, huh." Su Chen nodded. It was fairly decent. He then asked, "How did it feel inside the Profound Heaven Instrunt?"
"Hmm..." Ming Lin pondered for a mont. "To be honest, I didn't feel anything specific. It was like being thrown into a washing machine. The heavens spun and the earth revolved... and then I ca out."
"No other sensations? Like intense pain or sothing?" Su Chen was rather surprised.
"Really, none at all," Ming Lin shook his head.
Su Chen nodded thoughtfully, then changed the subject. "As for the matter of selling the goods, you can let Senior Apprentice Brother Teng Liang and Senior Apprentice Brother Bu Siqi handle it.
"Now that you have a Crimson talent, you should focus more on developing your Professions.
"Senior Apprentice Brother Teng forcefully broke through to the 5th-Tier, so his future potential is already exhausted.
"As for Old Bu, his innate talent is too low. At his current age, even if it were raised, it wouldn't an much."
Ming Lin nodded solemnly. The advancent of Professional Tiers and the elevation of Life Levels were instincts carved into the bones of every living being.
Upon returning to the Training Room, Su Chen glanced at the ti but wasn't in a hurry to begin his workout.
About half an hour later, Luo Shuhang hurried over.
Su Chen had asked him to co by yesterday, but after consuming the Crimson Sun Potion, he hadn't wanted to waste its effects, so he had delayed the eting by a day.
As soon as the Dark Sun Period passed, the man arrived in a rush.
"I can do it myself, let do it."
In the Lounge, seeing Su Chen walk in with a teacup, Luo Shuhang quickly reached out to take it. He took a careful sip before asking, "You called for . Is there a Profession-related issue you need my assistance in resolving?"
"Sit, take a seat." Su Chen waved a hand, gesturing for him to sit down, before saying, "That's right, I have a few questions."
"Please ask," Luo Shuhang replied, setting down his teacup and sitting upright with perfect posture.
"I'd like to know, is there any way to shorten the mandatory ti-based requirents for certain Professions?" Su Chen asked, his body sinking halfway into the sofa as he looked at Luo Shuhang.
"A thod to shorten mandatory ti constraints?" Luo Shuhang rephrased the question into more professional terms. After a brief mont of thought, he said, "Yes, our Faction's Fortune Bronze Core can do exactly that."
"I naturally know about that." Su Chen frowned slightly. "Are there any other thods?"
Luo Shuhang's heart skipped a beat, and he hurriedly replied, "There are other thods as well. In reality, as long as the body is physically placed in a region of Ti Acceleration, it can achieve the recognition of Pseudo-spirituality."
"Ti Acceleration—does our Faction possess any such ans?" Su Chen couldn't help but ask.
Luo Shuhang hesitated and shook his head. "Space and ti are inherently the two most mysterious paraters. None of the Five Great Sects possess thods for ti manipulation. I've vaguely heard rumors that the Royal Court might have sothing like it, but those are just hearsay..."
"That thod sounds even more troubleso than the Fortune Bronze Core, doesn't it?" Su Chen shot him a glance.
"Alas—" Luo Shuhang sighed helplessly. "Mandatory ti constraints are the most troubleso type of requirent. If you can't et them, you simply can't. If you want a Perfect Advancent, you can't be even the slightest bit short."
"Besides Ti Acceleration, is there anything else?" Su Chen furrowed his brows and asked again.
Luo Shuhang wore a hesitant expression. Seeing Su Chen's tightly knit brows, he gritted his teeth and said, "There is actually one more thod."
"Oh?" Su Chen raised an eyebrow. "What thod?"
"Evil God Power," Luo Shuhang replied in a low, solemn voice. "Through a special thod, you can use Evil God Power to distort your own Pseudo-spirituality. There is a chance it might shorten the required tifra for advancent."
Su Chen had heard Wan Chen ntion this thod before, and he looked thoughtful.
Luo Shuhang, anwhile, cautiously advised, "Your Excellency, you are still young. There is no need to resort to such wicked thods. Furthermore, sooner or later, you will break into the top hundred of the Holy List and gain the qualifications to use the Fortune Bronze Core. That is the only path without any hidden dangers."
Su Chen's eyes flickered. He wasn't asking about this thod to use it on himself, but rather to have a plausible explanation for the outside world as to how—thanks to the Great Exalted's reward—he could fuse two Professions and achieve imdiate advancent.
He had thought it through carefully. It would be best if both of these Professions belonged to a Holy Class sequence in order to maximize his benefits.
However, he wasn't planning on leaning toward the Blood Burner path just yet. This was primarily because the burden on his body after advancing to the Weapon Lord class was simply too imnse.
rely sustaining the empowernt of his arcane artifacts to the 6th-Tier—even when factoring in the Glutton and his other abilities—he couldn't hold out for more than five minutes. If intense combat and the stamina drain of other abilities were added to the mix, he would likely struggle to last even three minutes.
As for the Undying Bird, he still had to wait for Lan Hao to slowly complete his advancent.
Naturally, Su Chen set his sights on the Holy Class Eternal Physique sequence, which focused on Stamina.
And from the ti he obtained the Hundred-Forged Smith class until now, at most, less than four months had passed.
However, its advancent requirents clearly mandated a strict six-month ti limit.
Because of this, Su Chen wanted to ask Luo Shuhang if there were any conventional ans to shorten ti-limited Profession requirents.
But the few thods this guy ntioned were all incredibly troubleso. Only the excuse of utilizing Evil God Power allowed for enough ambiguity to serve as a cover.
With that thought in mind, Su Chen asked again, "Are there any hidden dangers to using Evil God Power to influence Profession requirents?"
Seeing that Su Chen was genuinely interested, Luo Shuhang felt a jolt of panic. If this Star Seed ca into contact with Evil God Power because of his words and sothing went wrong, he probably wouldn't be able to escape the bla.
Luo Shuhang could only resort to scare tactics, saying, "Evil God Power possesses extrely potent Erosion properties. Even after weakening it with special thods, there is only a 10% chance it can successfully influence a Profession's Pseudo-spirituality."
"Furthermore, that 10% chance is entirely random. In so cases, it might even increase the difficulty of the Profession requirents. It is completely uncontrollable."
"So it's purely a matter of luck?" Su Chen understood completely.
Luo Shuhang nodded repeatedly. "Exactly, it all cos down to luck."
'Since that's the case, if anyone ever probes into the matter, I'll just use this excuse,' Su Chen couldn't help but think. 'Is it a cri to just be lucky?'
Moreover, he had already instructed others to secretly purchase Evil God Power. Although this hadn't been exposed yet, if it were to co to light in the future, this would perfectly explain where it had all gone.
Luo Shuhang felt an uneasy dread in his heart, entirely unsure if the Star Seed had taken his warnings to heart.
Soon, he heard Su Chen ask another question. "There's one more thing. Can Holy Classes only be accessed by proceeding step by step?"
"Holy Classes?" Luo Shuhang paused briefly, not expecting Su Chen to bring this up. After a mont of thought, he replied, "Are you referring to the three publicly accessible Holy Classes within the Faction?
"To access their sequences, one indeed must go through the Bronze Spirit, and it can only be done by proceeding step by step. This is implented for the sake of protection and confidentiality."
"Is that so." Su Chen couldn't help but frown. He had wanted to directly access the two subsequent Professions for the Eternal Physique sequence and mold them into one.
If he could do that, his progress with the Eternal Physique would leap forward significantly, perfectly satisfying his need for more Stamina.
If he could only access one at a ti, he would have to find another Stamina-based Special Profession. However, whether that would cause hidden issues when fusing the Eternal Physique later on was hard to say.
"Do you wish to access more Holy Class sequences to prepare in advance?" Luo Shuhang guessed.
"Mm." Su Chen nodded. "I did have that thought. Do you have a way to make the Bronze Spirit permit it?"
Luo Shuhang hesitated and spoke cautiously, "The Bronze Spirit is not a conventional artificial intelligence. You can treat it as if it were a real person."
"Oh?" Su Chen's eyes flashed with interest. "Are you saying that the Bronze Spirit doesn't operate strictly according to the rules?"
"That's hard to say for sure, but you could try negotiating with it." Luo Shuhang wasn't entirely certain himself. After all, his status wasn't particularly high; he had only occasionally heard others ntion it.
"I see. Understood. Thank you," Su Chen said, standing up.
Luo Shuhang sensibly stood up as well, preparing to take his leave.
Su Chen escorted him out of the Main Building. Just as he was leaving, Luo Shuhang couldn't resist offering one last word of caution, "Evil God Power cos with endless disastrous consequences. Your future is vast and limitless; there is no need to be impatient right now."
"Don't worry, Captain Luo. I was rely asking out of curiosity," Su Chen replied warmly, watching Luo Shuhang's Aircraft depart until it vanished beyond the horizon.
Only then did he board another Aircraft and head toward the Bronze Core.
"Star Seed Su..."
"Your Excellency..."
"Grand Martial Uncle..."
On the main road of the Bronze Core, the number of people greeting him had increased significantly. Su Chen estimated that out of every ten people, at least six or seven would step forward to offer their respects, acting exceptionally enthusiastic.
The remaining three or four would also nod in acknowledgnt.
It seed as though in the vast Bronze Sect, there was absolutely no one left who harbored any hostility toward him.
Old Bronze's move was quite ruthless. As long as Fan Zhao's situation remained deadlocked, Qin Yun's faction would find it difficult to stir up any trouble.
Su Chen responded to each of them one by one, feeling a slight ache forming in his neck from nodding so much.
Upon arriving at the plaza in front of the Bronze Tower, he instinctively glanced toward where the Ancient King Monunt used to be. The spot was entirely empty; even the chains had been uprooted. He had no idea who had given the order.
'The monunt still hasn't been brought back,' Su Chen muttered inwardly. He wondered if the Ancient King had noticed anything fishy. Most likely not; after all, a stone monunt couldn't speak.
There were quite a few people near the plaza. Seeing him enter the Bronze Tower sparked a flurry of discussion, with many guessing whether he was there to access another Holy Class.
"I heard this Star Seed just ca by three or four months ago. He's already back to access another one so soon?"
"He might not necessarily be here to access a Holy Class, right?"
"This person is a Star Seed, after all. It's not like he's here to adjust the operational intervals of the three major satellite cities or sothing like that, right?"
"True...
"
As the tower doors slowly closed, Su Chen fell deep in thought. 'It's difficult for outsiders to know which Profession I chose. Within the Faction, there are likely only a very few individuals who are aware. But even if those few people know, unless they carefully check the ti of my request, they probably won't realize that my advancent speed is this fast.'
Just as he was pondering, streams of light intertwined before his eyes, converging into an illusory humanoid projection. The Bronze Spirit's voice slowly rang out, "Star Seed Su Chen, welco. May I ask what you require?"
"I want to access the next Profession sequence for the Holy Class Eternal Physique."
"Please wait a mont," the Bronze Spirit replied. A mont later, its voice sounded again, "Regarding the second sequence of the Holy Class Eternal Physique, the Hundred-Forged Smith, have you already completed it?"
"That's right. I've already advanced into it," Su Chen nodded.
He could clearly sense that the Bronze Spirit seed to fall silent for a brief mont before finally asking, "Please proceed to the second floor for verification."
'It actually didn't ask why my advancent speed is so fast?' Su Chen thought, feeling a little surprised as he headed up to the second floor.
Just like last ti, he gave a general demonstration of his abilities. The ability of the Hundred-Forged Smith was to reduce all Stamina consumption by 30%
With the additional reward included, the total reduction was 50%.
Whether it was walking, sitting, lying down, or extracting elental energy, the Stamina drain could be similarly mitigated. The outward manifestation of this was that he could endure for much longer periods.
Unsurprisingly, he passed the Bronze Spirit's inspection.
"Your advancent speed truly astounds ." The Bronze Spirit seed to sigh with emotion before stating, "I am currently retrieving the next Profession for you."
"Wait," Su Chen called out.
"Do you have any other requests?" the Bronze Spirit asked.
"I'd like to ask, is it possible to access the two subsequent Special Professions required for the Eternal Physique at the sa ti?"
"Oh? Why do you wish to access them consecutively?" The Bronze Spirit seed puzzled as it asked, "You are currently at the 5th-Tier, and the next Special Profession perfectly matches your Professional Tier. However, the requirents for the fourth Profession in the Holy Class Eternal Physique sequence demand the 6th-Tier. You are unable to et them."
