"Where was this sent to from?"
The nether mist surged around him. Inside the glass bottle Su Chen held, crimson electrical arcs crashed and tumbled like living creatures. The potion possessed a translucent, amber-like texture, with serpentine lightning swimming within it, continuously exploding into sparks.
Giving him a "double experience card" was one thing, but he hadn't expected it to actually grant him physical items. However, this thing had to have co from sowhere, right? Or did the interface conjure it out of thin air?
[Punishing Thunder Potion (Special Item): Can directly complete the class requirents related to the lightning attribute at Tier 6 and below.
]
Directly complete a specific requirent? Su Chen was quite surprised. "Tier 6 and below, which ans it can only be used on the main class—not bad, not bad at all."
He was very satisfied with this. Combined with the various essences he currently possessed, if used properly, it could save him a significant amount of ti and energy.
"Oh, Exalted One, Exalted One, I wonder what other good things you have hidden in your hands," Su Chen muttered, securely storing away the Punishing Thunder Potion first.
His gaze then fell on his two newly acquired classes. He glanced at his remaining essences; there weren't many left.
He only had one portion of the Faceless Ghost Essence. The Sly Fox Essence, which increased rewards, was already gone, and he only had one portion of the Crimson Essence, which reduced difficulty.
During his earlier interrogation, he had already learned the abilities of these two classes from Lan Hao.
The Enduring Walker could convert a portion of the injuries sustained into a restorative force, store it, and release it after battle to rapidly heal wounds.
The Siphoner was different; it absorbed the target's life essence during combat to heal itself.
The abilities of both classes were quite impressive. The Enduring Walker, in particular, could perfectly synergize with the Life Burner.
The injuries caused by the Life Burner could be partially healed, allowing the user to continue burning their life force for even greater enhancents.
However, their class advancent requirents were not low either.
"Fatal injuries are never simple." Su Chen frowned slightly. As a class holder with continuous physical enhancents, his own recovery rate was quite high.
But a fatal injury was sothing that could almost kill a person. Healing from such extre trauma would take a considerable amount of ti.
The only upside to this requirent was that it did not specify the source of the fatal injury. He could easily attempt it in a highly controlled dical environnt with virtually no risk, simply enduring the long process to heal.
'I wonder how long it would take to heal from a fatal injury. Would ten days be enough?' he speculated.
The heart collection requirent for the Siphoner did not seem too difficult, but it required a massive amount of manpower and resources to accomplish.
'Now that it has been reduced to only a hundred types of hearts, the Crimson Thunder Planet should be able to satisfy it.'
Compared to collecting hearts from different races, the hardest part was the third requirent: the Eternal Withered Flower.
According to Lan Hao's explanation, this was a plant that grew in the Nether Realm. It existed on the boundary between life and death, hovering in a half-dead state. To revive it...
...would require spending ti to feed it a large amount of Life Nectar, followed by rapidly drawing blood and cryogenically storing it. He estimated he would need to draw blood back and forth fifteen or twenty tis just to gather enough.
The Lan family had advanced into these classes countless tis and already possessed a set of proven, effective procedures.
"Tsk—class requirents are so bizarre and varied. I'd be thanking my lucky stars if I could piece together a complete Holy Class."
After coming into contact with Qing Cang and the others, Su Chen increasingly realized the imnse value of his interface. He absolutely could not let even the slightest hint of it leak out.
'According to Lan Hao, the advancent sequence for the Undying Bird class in his family is structured exactly like this. Since there's a specific order, I should prepare for the Enduring Walker first.'
Su Chen pondered. His understanding of Holy Classes was far too shallow. What Wan Chen had told him were rely open secrets; it was better to follow the established patterns Lan Hao had described.
With the Faceless Ghost Essence in hand, he used it directly.
[The Faceless Ghost Essence has eroded the Enduring Walker, driving it into a state of frenzy. Advancent Requirent Two has been erased.]
The requirent to heal a fatal injury had been completely erased.
Su Chen raised an eyebrow. The requirent that the Exalted One had graciously reduced for him was also this one. It seed there was so overlap.
However, when he obtained the essence, he had already anticipated this might happen. His luck couldn't remain absolutely perfect forever.
It was good enough that it hadn't erased the already completed Requirent One. This at least saved him a considerable amount of ti and effort.
"Then only the sap of the Immortal Ancient Tree remains." Su Chen's eyes swept over the text. "According to Lan Hao, this stuff is a raw material for crafting quite a few potions, and the cult has a massive stockpile of it. It shouldn't be too difficult to get. I just don't know if the Crimson Thunder Planet has any—"
Currently, the only usable essence he had was this single Faceless Ghost Essence. If he wanted to manipulate things further, he would have to wait for the eerie divine power from other cities to arrive before he could slt more.
Su Chen took a wide detour through the nether mist, returning to the settlent from an entirely different direction. Moving swiftly, he slipped back silently and seamlessly blended into the camp.
As people bustled back and forth around him, Su Chen's eyes flickered. He had mostly finished processing his gains, but there was still one troubleso matter at hand.
"The Cult Suppression Army..."
The arrival of people from the Royal Court was not a good thing for him. If the spirituality of the Exalted Crimson Fla Responding Thunder was snatched away, he would be completely in the dark.
But this was no longer a problem he could solve on his own. The best-case scenario would be to inform Qing Cang, but explaining the entire situation clearly would be a massive headache.
This matter very likely involved internal power struggles within the Bronze Cult. Even if he dragged Lan Hao into it, he might not only fail to prove his claims but could also end up drawing deep trouble onto himself.
Furthermore, he still maintained a certain level of wariness toward Qing Cang; his trust in the man was not particularly high.
Although everyone said that the man would take him as a student, Qing Cang hadn't actually spoken a single word about it yet. Who knew what he was truly thinking?
Under these circumstances, since the other party hadn't brought it up, he naturally wouldn't initiate the topic either. If it had been that Ancient King, he might have just shalessly clung to him.
'But I still need to think of a way to deal with this Royal Court business.'
With thoughts swirling in his mind, Su Chen glanced left and right before vanishing into the crowd.
The sky gradually darkened. Lan Hao returned, dragging a massive Golden-Maned Wolf. Aside from his slightly torn clothes, no visible injuries remained on his body.
The Mist Garnt possessed extre elasticity; unless subjected to a severe external impact, it was very difficult to tear.
He casually tossed the Golden-Maned Wolf into an area next to the settlent. Over the past few days, all the mutants they brought back were consud and processed by the camp.
The nearby guards offered a round of respectful flattery. Since they had soone doing free labor for them, they naturally had to serve him well.
During the first few occasions, Lan Hao would offer hypocritical, polite responses, but his mood was terrible today. Too lazy to even bother, he walked straight toward the spaceship parked not far away.
Stepping onto the boarding ramp, just as he was about to enter the cabin, his footsteps paused. He turned his head, his gaze sweeping over the tal corridor spewing crimson flas, a flicker of deep hesitation flashing in his eyes.
"That evil god cultist was right. I have no choice but to swallow my pride on this." Lan Hao's expression shifted uncertainly. Gritting his teeth in secret, he withdrew his gaze.
He could hardly find an angle to explain this matter to Qing Cang. Should he say there were evil god cultists roaming outside?
That would only result in Qing Cang strictly ordering them not to leave again.
The nether mist was vast and boundless. Even if he omitted the fact that he was forced to leak information about the Royal Court and the class details, rely saying he was attacked would be utterly useless.
Could he expect Qing Cang to go out and search the vast mist for a disappeared evil god cultist just for his sake?
And even if they did find him, then what?
"Forget it..." Lan Hao felt completely helpless. Yet, upon stepping into the cabin and feeling the solid floor beneath his feet, an involuntary sense of surviving a catastrophe welled up within him.
But imdiately after, he felt deeply ashad. Back in the cult, although he often sparred with others, he had never faced a true life-or-death crisis.
Encountering that evil god cultist and looking death in the face, he had begged and cried out in agony. The pathetic display he put on was sothing he didn't even want to dwell upon.
'But why did that evil god cultist co here?' Now in a safe environnt, Lan Hao couldn't help but wonder. 'Were they also trying to snatch the Exalted Crimson Fla Responding Thunder?'
'It's said that when a class's spirituality is imrsed in the Nether Realm, it becos corrupted. After corruption, it might be devoured by other evil gods, or it could give birth to a completely new evil god.'
'Evil gods are indeed highly desirous of classes that have birthed spirituality, as well as the Chosen Ones.'
'But he asked so many questions, yet didn't seem to care much about the Exalted Crimson Fla Responding Thunder. Instead, he was extrely interested in my family's Holy Class.'
The more he thought about it, the more sothing felt profoundly wrong. 'Logically speaking, an evil god cultist on this barren planet shouldn't know much about the outside world, yet he seed to know inside out.'
'Could it be... that the natives here have colluded with the evil god cultists?'
Lan Hao's mind beca increasingly active, churning out all sorts of wild speculations. Right at that mont, soone suddenly called out to him, "How did it go today?"
His footsteps paused. Looking up, he saw Wan Chen walking straight toward him.
Lan Hao's expression shifted, and he replied coldly, "It was alright."
Too lazy to say more, he imdiately walked away.
Wan Chen glanced at his retreating back and frowned deeply. "Sick freak."
He didn't want to completely fall out with Lan Hao, but this guy seed a bit too stupid.
Seeing Wan Chen, however, reminded Lan Hao of sothing else.
'That evil god cultist already knows about the Royal Court. I wonder if this will trigger any unforeseen changes.'
He felt conflicted and uncertain, but his Nether Realm Stone had already been stolen. Even if he wanted to notify Ni Chuan now, he couldn't.
In the end, he could only console himself, 'There's no way that evil god cultist would tip off Qing Cang. As long as Ni Chuan proceeds according to plan, it shouldn't be a major issue.'
"That Lan Hao is colluding with the people from the Royal Court?"
In a room within the settlent, Xia Hanshi looked at Su Chen with absolute astonishnt. Pale golden flas enveloped the two of them.
"I saw it with my own eyes," Su Chen nodded solemnly.
Indeed, this was the thod he had co up with: first tell Old Xia, figure out a way to clear his own na from the ss, and then inform Qing Cang.
However, after pondering for a mont, Old Xia asked pointedly, "Why were you tracking him? And at such close range, the people from the Royal Court didn't notice you?"
"Uh, wasn't it because I heard you ntion last ti that sothing was off about this Lan Hao?" Su Chen feigned ignorance. Based on his understanding of Old Xia, since he had phrased it this way, the older man definitely wouldn't press the issue further.
Sure enough, Old Xia rely cast a glance at him before smoothly skipping over the topic. His eyes flickered. "From the looks of it, the internal struggles within the Bronze Cult are also quite severe."
"Yeah, wherever there are people, there is politics." Su Chen couldn't help but sigh.
Xia Hanshi frowned slightly. "For us, it actually makes no difference who gets this Morning Star-tier class."
Su Chen's expression stiffened as he suddenly realized this fact. For Chong Jingtian and the others, if they couldn't resolve the Holy Banquet, they would very likely end up dying without an intact corpse.
And Qing Cang hadn't promised to resolve the Holy Banquet for them either. In essence, Chong Jingtian and the rest were still trapped in a state of coercion.
The envoys from the Royal Court might not be a bad alternative.
But for Su Chen, if the complete spirituality was taken away by the Royal Court, would he have to defect to the Royal Court? And even then, the Royal Court wouldn't necessarily let him see it.
"But..." Xia Hanshi shifted his tone and added, "Qing Cang is a decent person. Chong Jingtian has a very good impression of him, and they've already reached an agreent."
This Old Xia... Su Chen was rendered utterly speechless.
The Royal Court was no pushover either. So far, Qing Cang had been relatively mild. Caught in the middle, the Crimson Thunder Planet lacked the capital to play both sides, so they could only firmly side with Qing Cang, who had arrived first.
"I'll go discuss it with Chong Jingtian later and see how we should strategically disclose this matter to Qing Cang," Old Xia took charge of the task.
Curious, Su Chen asked, "You just ntioned that the Chief and Qing Cang reached an agreent. What agreent?"
"This agreent..." Xia Hanshi paused slightly. Given his personality, he surprisingly revealed a subtle smile.
"We actually have to thank you for it."
"?" Su Chen was utterly confused, but as Xia Hanshi carefully explained, the expression on his face gradually turned bizarre.
In the end, he could only squeeze out a few words. "Talk about making the most of everything."
By then, Xia Hanshi had already left the room. Before departing, he tossed out one last sentence: "Tianqing's eerie divine power will arrive tomorrow. But since there are people from the Royal Court aggressively eyeing us from the periter, we should just let them deliver the stuff inside."
Su Chen naturally had no objections.
Early the next morning, inside Chong Jingtian's room, Zhou Yanwu glared at the man with a livid face. Gritting his teeth, he snarled, "What a wonderful Chief of the Inquisition! Truly far-sighted and absolutely ruthless!"
Chong Jingtian remained totally expressionless as Zhou Yanwu practically roared his question, "Do you lack the guts to admit what you've done?"
"There's nothing I won't admit." Chong Jingtian shook his head coolly. "Since you've all made up your minds to leave, you might as well make one final contribution to the Crimson Thunder Planet."
"Contribution!" The veins on Zhou Yanwu's forehead bulged violently. "You sold us out to the Bronze Cult! For the next hundred years, we have to work for them unconditionally!"
"And what did you trade us for? Just to give those so-called 'seeds' of your Inquisition the qualifications to enter the Holy Sanctuary?"
Zhou Yanwu truly never expected that, at the very end, Chong Jingtian would pull off such an insane stunt.
They indeed had no desire to go down with the Crimson Thunder Planet, and they had long prepared themselves for the inevitable drop in status once they entered a broader world.
But a drop in status was one thing; becoming soone's slave was an entirely different matter.
"Must you absolutely drag us all down to be buried along with this damned planet?" Upon suddenly learning of this, Zhou Yanwu was furious beyond belief. He forcefully suppressed his rage and said in a low, seething voice, "Previously, when Yuan Du proposed using the Chosen One to fight for our survival, it's not like I didn't cooperate with you all in backing Su Chen."
"Right now, with the arrival of the Bronze Cult, Su Chen's chances are completely gone. Yet you still refuse to let us seek our own way out."
"Seek your own way out..." Chong Jingtian shook his head, a heavy hint of mockery in his voice. "If you can cough up everything that Ying Feng has provided you, then I might just discuss things with Lord Qing Cang."
"You..." Zhou Yanwu choked on his anger. He sneered coldly, "Then why don't you make those seeds of your Inquisition cough up everything Ying Feng provided for them?"
"They are different," Chong Jingtian shook his head. He paused for a mont before saying, "They are the sparks of our future."
Zhou Yanwu nearly vomited blood. He wanted nothing more than to tear the man in front of him to pieces. But in the end, he could only force a few broken words from his throat: "I refuse."
