"et him?" Wei Yinshuo's expression changed slightly as he flatly refused. "How can we et? Everyone here belongs to the Adjudication Court. A single mont of carelessness, and not only he but I will die as well!"

"I don't even know if Jiang Shumo is still secretly keeping an eye on ."

"No one is watching you; I can sense it." The voice by his ear insisted, "This is his second appearance. He likely also sensed my presence. Since he ca close, he must want to et as well."

"Can't you communicate remotely?" Wei Yinshuo still harbored resistance. Under the current circumstances, the risk of eting was far too high.

"I am not giving you a choice." The voice by his ear turned cold.

Wei Yinshuo felt a surge of anger, followed by a wave of bleak sorrow. After a mont of silence, he could only helplessly respond internally: "I understand."

"Xue Fei!" he called out, a barely detectable trace of fury mixed in his tone.

The door imdiately opened, and Xue Fei walked in, appearing exceptionally subservient. "You called for ."

"What's the situation outside?" Wei Yinshuo's voice was weak, yet still carried an interrogative edge. "Why is there such a massive commotion?"

"It seems that during the execution of that Believer of Black Buddha, soone ca to rescue him," Xue Fei explained briefly, then quickly added, "But rest assured, it just looks like a massive commotion. I reckon it will be resolved very soon."

"Chief Inquisitor You has already led people there."

"Then why are you still here?" Wei Yinshuo's voice was cold.

"I—" Xue Fei froze. "Don't I need to look after you?"

"I am inside the Adjudication Court! Who could possibly harm ?" Wei Yinshuo reprimanded him, frustrated by his failure to et expectations. "Now is the exact mont for you to lead the charge! Since there's no danger, why aren't you going to show your face?"

"This..." Xue Fei hesitated. Saying there was no danger was from a Chief Inquisitor's perspective. Who knew if so accident might happen?

"Go, idiot!" Wei Yinshuo darkened his face, coughing repeatedly. "I've suffered such severe injuries; I don't know how much ti I have left to live. I won't be able to shelter you for much longer. You'll have to rely on yourself in the future. You cannot afford to miss opportunities like this."

Xue Fei's face twitched as he hurriedly replied, "Don't be angry; I'll go right now."

"Take them all away with you. Being an eyesore!" Wei Yinshuo ordered coldly.

"I should still leave soone to look after you," Xue Fei hesitated.

"Leave Jiang Baorui..." Wei Yinshuo frowned, watching Xue Fei hastily lead the people away.

A mont later, Wei Yinshuo called over the person left behind. "Baorui."

"Teacher—" A short, simple-looking fellow walked in, a broad smile on his face.

Wei Yinshuo's attitude was surprisingly polite. "Go to the cafeteria and pack a portion of 'Magma Beast Heart.' Rember, it must be freshly made."

"Alright." Without a single word of nonsense, Jiang Baorui turned around and headed downstairs.

"Now, only those small fry on the first floor of the dical Departnt remain. They aren't a concern; they're only 1st or 2nd-tier. The other party should have thods to hide from them," Wei Yinshuo said internally.

"As expected of a Chief Inquisitor," the voice praised.

Wei Yinshuo remained silent.

"They really left."

Within the spatial layer, Su Chen watched a dark-faced Xue Fei lead three or four people out of the main doors of the dical Departnt, heading out of the Adjudication Court and disappearing from sight shortly after.

"If that's the case, my estimation was actually correct. What I sensed has an ego, and he also wants to et , a Priest."

Su Chen thought to himself. Although things were advancing according to his plan, it also added a few elents of uncertainty.

Even if Wei Yinshuo was heavily injured, it was still unknown how much power that unknown consciousness entity could exert.

"But this is indeed a rare opportunity, and I am a Priest of Black Buddha. A calculated strike against an unsuspecting target..."

"If all else fails, I still have the Divine Blood to clean things up."

Su Chen pondered. He had co here this ti precisely to act according to circumstances, and the opportunity was right before his eyes.

After a short wait, another person walked out of the dical Departnt, heading towards the cafeteria.

"The people should be almost all lured away. The dical Departnt's own security is very lax; it shouldn't be a major issue."

Su Chen no longer hesitated, exiting the spatial layer while maintaining his stealth status, simultaneously deactivating the Priest of Black Buddha disguise.

"He disappeared again—"

In the hospital room, Wei Yinshuo listened to the voice by his ear and couldn't help but ask, "What does that an? He left again?"

"How is this possible? Disappearing and reappearing... how did he do it?" The voice by his ear muttered to itself. "...He probably didn't leave; rather, he's arriving."

Hearing this, Wei Yinshuo couldn't help but feel a trace of doubt. "Your perception wouldn't happen to be wrong, would it? This is the Adjudication Court; every Adjudicator undergoes regular screening."

"Furthermore, the traits of a Priest of Black Buddha are too distinct. How could he sneak in?"

"Serving Our Lord together naturally creates an empathetic connection; it's impossible to..." The voice paused, rising slightly in pitch. "He's here, right outside the door."

Wei Yinshuo's expression shifted slightly as he watched the room door silently open and close. He could feel sothing enter.

Imdiately after, a person exuding a chilling aura gradually erged. The signature bald head featured a vertical pupil ford from interweaving black patterns on the crown.

However, the person wore a silver-gray tallic mask, which faintly distorted their facial features, making it impossible to see their appearance clearly.

Why does this silhouette feel sowhat familiar? Wei Yinshuo vaguely felt a sense of déjà vu, which was imdiately replaced by tension. He couldn't help but glance out the window. The crimson glow was gradually receding, indicating that the situation was nearing its end.

He was terrified that Chong Jingtian would suddenly jump through the window and catch the two of them red-handed.

Su Chen looked at Wei Yinshuo on the bed, who stared fixedly back at him. Before he could speak, a voice rang out from within his body: "How could Yingfeng have two Priests? Why did I not know of this prior to this?"

It really was hiding inside Wei Yinshuo's body. Judging by the tone, it was at least a Priest, or even a High Priest.

He didn't see through the mask... because he couldn't use other thods?

Su Chen secretly breathed a sigh of relief. This way, he could be more composed. In a hoarse voice, he said, "The Divine Blood was lost. I ca in an ergency."

The statent was simple, but Su Chen knew that even believers serving the sa Evil God were incapable of seamlessly sharing all information.

"Are you Yuan Peng's subordinate?" The other party ntioned a na Su Chen had never heard of, so he remained silent.

A reprimanding tone laced the other party's voice. "I said long ago that your plan was inviable. Trying to steal the stone slab using an inside operative is practically impossible. Furthermore, you wasted a drop of Divine Blood."

Steal the stone slab?

Is it the stone slab Old Sang ntioned, the one suspected of containing the Great Exalted's profession information?

That thing again. The Faceless Ghost wants it, and Black Buddha wants it too.

Why do Evil Gods want that thing? Could it possess other functions aside from recording profession information?

A multitude of thoughts raced through Su Chen's mind at this mont, while the voice turned to address Wei Yinshuo. "In truth, that drop of Divine Blood was prepared for you. It's a pity it didn't reach your hands."

"Divine Blood?" Wei Yinshuo was montarily stunned before reacting. "Is it the precious material Pang Hui ntioned that can increase lifespan?"

He hadn't expected the Believers of Black Buddha to have set their sights on him that long ago.

"You hiding inside his body is also to steal the stone slab. How is that any different from our plan?" Su Chen followed the flow of conversation, intending to coax out more information.

"I ca via oracle and possess a specialized mission," the other party didn't explain directly, instead saying, "The Divine Blood didn't fall into the hands of the Adjudication Court; they are still looking for it as well."

"I recomnd you shift your gaze towards the believers of the other deities in Yingfeng."

He's helping ?

Su Chen was puzzled, then imdiately understood. He was being overly cautious. From the other party's perspective, he was a Priest of Black Buddha—entirely one of their own.

Su Chen stated, "Understood. What is the oracle? I can temporarily set aside the Divine Blood and assist you in fulfilling the oracle."

"Hmm..." The other party pondered briefly. "For you to sneak into the Adjudication Court ans you possess considerable thods. The oracle instructed to take away a specific person: Su Chen. You should know this na."

As expected, they ca specifically for . Confirming this, Su Chen nodded. "Indeed, I know him. It won't be easy to take him away."

The other party considered for a mont before saying, "You should still look for the Divine Blood. Once you find it, it might prove greatly useful moving forward."

"Greatly useful?" Su Chen voiced his confusion. "Wei Yinshuo is already under our control. Do we still need to corrupt anyone else?"

"The people from Yuandu have arrived. They intend to obtain the crimson Fla Responding Thunder Great Exalted's acknowledgnt from the stone slab. If they succeed, things will beco troubleso." The other party didn't hide anything.

Yuandu also ca for the stone slab, and furthermore, the Evil Gods know the profession information inscribed upon it belongs to the Great Exalted.

Isn't the Great Exalted just a profession? Could it be that to assu it, one still needs to obtain its acknowledgnt?

Su Chen couldn't help but glance at his panel. The radiant, red-gold characters sat proudly above all other professions.

He truly hadn't expected this guy to know so much.

"Why would it be troubleso?" Su Chen asked straightforwardly.

There was no response. Su Chen discreetly raised his guard. Finally, the voice from within Wei Yinshuo's body rang out again: "You rely need to follow orders."

This guy was probably a High Priest to speak to a Priest like that.

Su Chen turned his gaze back to Wei Yinshuo and walked straight towards him. "Is this person trustworthy?"

"His life is in my hands, and he values his life deeply. He will make the wise choice."

Su Chen couldn't help but voice his hesitation, "But he can't maintain this state for much longer. Have you figured out how to take Su Chen away? Chong Jingtian is no vegetarian."

"When Su Chen is taken away, Chong Jingtian won't even know."

Wei Yinshuo remained expressionless. The entity inhabiting his body conversing with the Priest of Black Buddha before his eyes as if no one else was present, casually evaluating him—it filled him with a sense of humiliation.

The other party had already approached the hospital bed. The pitch-black pupils beneath the mask unmistakably carried an appraising and scrutinizing gaze.

"What advice does Your Excellency have?" Wei Yinshuo couldn't hold back anymore.

"I wouldn't call it advice, just..." Su Chen reached out a hand and pressed it onto Wei Yinshuo's shoulder. He imdiately felt the restless divine power of Black Buddha within Wei Yinshuo's body.

"So that's how it is..." Su Chen completely grasped the situation.

Multiple forces were hidden within Wei Yinshuo's body. The outermost layer was the corrosive power disguised as residual Evil God power.

It couldn't be deed divine power, rely a destructive energy bearing corrosive traits. What it enveloped was the true divine power of Black Buddha hidden deep within.

And the divine power of Black Buddha, in turn, enveloped the consciousness of the High Priest. The overlapping layers were why he felt so strange to him.

"What are you doing?"

Suddenly, Wei Yinshuo heard a sharp, angry reprimand echo by his ear.

Imdiately after, he felt a power stirring within his body, attempting to break free, but it was quickly suppressed and returned to tranquility.

My authority isn't as high as his... Su Chen frowned. He had just tried to mobilize the divine power of Black Buddha within the other party's body, but was blocked.

However, if it was a matter of comparing authority...

"I rely needed to confirm that you weren't an imposter," Su Chen shook his head.

"Fool. Could the connection between believers be faked?" the other party coldly rebuked. "Yuan Peng's subordinates are far too lacking in piety. Get out!"

He was exceedingly furious, believing the other party had offended him.

"Apologies." Su Chen seed preparing to leave, but just as he turned, he seed to recall sothing. He turned back around, a hand gripping his mask. "However, it seems... you won't be able to take Su Chen away."

"Why?" The voice emanating from Wei Yinshuo's body grew cold.

Wei Yinshuo knitted his brows tightly, his attention entirely drawn by the mask the other party was slowly removing.

But the other party's movents paused; he didn't take it off.

Frowning, a drastic change abruptly swept across Wei Yinshuo's face.

Unknown as to when, the other party's right hand was already gripping a dark golden longsword. A condensed, azure-blue thunder light danced along the blade's edge; electric snakes coiled and flowed, emitting a deep, majestic hum.

At a terrifying speed, Su Chen slightly twisted his wrist. The lightning on the blade flowed in tandem, carving afterimages through the air as it lunged directly for Wei Yinshuo, heavily injuring and confined right before his eyes.

He's trying to kill !?

Wei Yinshuo was horror-struck, completely failing to anticipate this scene.

However, as a 6th-tier professional, even with the assassination strike re inches away, he still mustered a reaction, instinctively moving to resist.

Yet, the stinging pain enveloping his entire body plunging him into near despair.

His current heavily injured body was no fluke. During the blood sacrifice, he had been beaten until heavily injured and near death by the Believers of Black Buddha, which was exactly why he had been coerced by the other party.

Clang!

Su Chen's eyebrow twitched. The blade edge touching Wei Yinshuo's seemingly shattered body still t with considerable resistance, producing a grinding noise as if piercing into a sandbag filled with crushed stones.

Tough as hell. He's badly injured like this, yet still lives up to the reputation of a 6th-tier professional.

Lighting glinted in Su Chen's eyes, continuously amplifying the power in his hands.

Wei Yinshuo was nearing despair when the furious voice of the High Priest finally rang in his ears, "What are you doing!?"

Wisps of black mist escaped from Wei Yinshuo's body, rapidly surging towards Su Chen.

Wei Yinshuo breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, the High Priest inside his body wasn't useless either.

But imdiately after, an expression of total disbelief flooded his eyes. The black mist that surged forth to attack transford into an obedient, docile infant, peacefully swirling around the other party's body.

The High Priest's voice grew filled with disbelief, and even horror. "Divine Blood!"

"Why is the Divine Blood in your hands!?"

"Just who exactly are you!? Why can you manipulate the Divine Blood!"

He found it impossible to understand. If the other party was a Priest of Black Buddha, he wouldn't have attacked him. But if he wasn't, why could he mobilize the Divine Blood?

Clearly... clearly he could sense the aura of a believer of the Holy Lord on the other party. Why would he attack a High Priest with higher religious standing, who was moreover acting upon an oracle?

Wei Yinshuo saw a dark-brown object materialize in the person's left hand—seemingly the exact Divine Blood.

He even more keenly sensed that the beliefs of the High Priest inside his body seed to have been completely shattered.

"Do sothing!" Wei Yinshuo roared, wanting to awaken the High Priest.

He helplessly watched as dense, pure black smoke poured out from where the blade pierced his body, rapidly sinking into Su Chen's body.
