When Fu Chenlie’s icy, bloodthirsty eyes t hers, Wen Ran surprisingly didn’t feel scared.

Instead of fearing what he might do to her, a much clearer concern sprouted in her mind—

worry.

She worried about the severity of his injury.

She worried if she might have accidentally killed soone?!

Without hesitation, Wen Ran stood up from the bed and reached for his arm to examine the wound on his head.

But before she even touched his hair, she was thrown back once more.

Dizzy, once the feeling subsided, she propped herself up on the bed, turning her head towards Fu Chenlie, "You’re bleeding, I... I want to see if the wound is deep, otherwise, shall I take you to the hospital?"

He glanced at her contemptuously, "What are you trying to gain with that pretense of concern? Afraid I’ll retaliate against you?"

"No, I’m worried about you."

"Worried?"

The man scoffed disdainfully, "When you were hitting with that object, why weren’t you worried then?"

Without thinking, Wen Ran responded, "I didn’t realize it would be that serious; I just wanted you to stop."

Fu Chenlie asked with ambiguous aning, "Really?"

Her reply was emphatic, "Yes, I truly just wanted you to stop. I didn’t realize you would bleed. Can I take you to the hospital now, please?"

The man looked at her with a face full of disgust, "Put away that feigned expression."

She sat up on the bed, apology muffled, "I’m sorry..."

Fu Chenlie, in a fit of rage, threw a single word at her—

"Get out."

Wen Ran was timid but still asked, "But your head..."

He looked at her coldly, "What, I’m willing to let you go, yet you don’t want to leave?"

"I want to take you to the hospital."

"Are you leaving or not?"

Usually one to avoid him, Wen Ran shook her head this ti, her gaze firm on him, "I won’t leave. At least let see if your injury is serious. If sothing really happens to you, I can’t explain it to Grandma."

Fu Chenlie stared at her coldly, then suddenly laughed.

Of course, it wasn’t a laugh that signified goodwill, but one dark and sinister.

His handso face, sared with blood, now held a decadent beauty as he spoke, his voice cold and resolute, "I’ll give you two choices. First, you sleep with , and you earn the right to take to the hospital. Second, you get out of here. Which will it be?"

Wen Ran’s expression hesitated briefly.

Seeing the change in her eyes, Fu Chenlie knew her choice.

He pointed towards the door, "Get out."

Wen Ran didn’t move.

She didn’t want to have a relationship with Fu Chenlie.

But he was injured now, by her own doing.

Even though he still had the energy to curse at her, and he spoke with a strong, clear voice, the bleeding was from his head; if he insisted on not going to the hospital, and it led to so irreversible damage due to excessive blood loss...

Wouldn’t she beco the Fu Family’s sinner?

Grandma had been so kind to her; how could she repay kindness with ingratitude and leave her grandson half-crippled?

After much hesitation, Wen Ran finally looked at him with resolve, "Although you forced just now and that was wrong, I shouldn’t have hit you."

At this point, for the first ti, she called out his full na, "Fu Chenlie, I’m sorry, I was wrong to hit you. I’m really worried about your injury now, I’m afraid sothing will happen to you. If the precondition for you to go to the hospital is to confirm our relationship as husband and wife, then I choose to accept."

Hearing her words, Fu Chenlie’s eyes narrowed slightly, showing an extrely complex mixture of emotions.
