Wen Ran was jostled by Fu Chenlie’s movent, her feet stumbling.
Just as she steadied herself, the man captured her retreating lips. What was ant to be a simple peck turned, under his control and lead, into a long, deep, and passionate kiss.
He pressed forward, pinning her against the nearby console table.
They say kissing is a beautiful thing, and that you should close your eyes and feel it deeply when it happens.
But at this mont, Wen Ran was staring wide-eyed in disbelief.
Of course, Fu Chenlie was also looking at her with open eyes.
Even from his gaze, she could see sothing that scread ’provocation,’ as if telling her, "I’ll do as I please with you, and you can only accept it."
Only two words filled Wen Ran’s mind—
Shock.
She had no idea how long it went on for, nor when it ended.
All she could rember was that when they finally separated, he was looking down at her from his lofty height, with a teachable tone, saying, "That’s what you call a kiss. Have you learned yet?"
Wen Ran looked at him innocently, even with a trace of feeling wronged, "But you just said it was a peck."
He curved a corner of his mouth, "Sa thing."
"...You’re just taking advantage of the situation."
"Just a peck and it’s taking advantage? Miss Wen, you really are quite naive."
She ground her molars, bracing herself before speaking, "Let’s just say I’m naive. So, cunning husband, is our relationship-building session over for today? Can you leave my room now?"
He didn’t move but instead asked her, "How did it feel?"
She was puzzled for a mont, "What?"
Fu Chenlie explained with rare patience, "Kissing you, how did it feel?"
Wen Ran was so surprised she hardly knew what to say.
Kissing cos with a post-event interview?
Is there sothing missing in his brain?!
Wen Ran sighed silently in her head but still perfunctorily answered his absurd question, "Not bad."
Fu Chenlie’s expression changed instantly, "Not bad?!"
Seeing his dangerous look, she even wondered if her ’not bad’ comnt wasn’t just about the kissing but was also questioning his other abilities.
Wen Ran pressed her lips together, feeling sowhat at a loss.
She glanced at the door, shuffled sideways a few steps to reach it, and, with her hand on the doorknob, she looked back at Fu Chenlie with flushed cheeks and said, "I’ve only kissed you and no one else, so I don’t really know how to rate a kiss. Anyway, I didn’t hate it."
Her words seed to please him.
Because the man’s eyebrows lifted, and his lips had the hint of an upward curve.
However, Wen Ran didn’t see it, for she had already averted her gaze from him.
Right now, she just wanted to get rid of him and properly digest everything that had happened tonight.
Wen Ran opened the door, covered her mouth to yawn, and then, with a tempting tone, said to him, "Husband, I’m sleepy, and I want to go to bed. Shall we call it a night for our relationship-building?"
Fu Chenlie gave her a lazy once-over, clearly not taking her words to heart.
He dropped a last-minute notice on her, "I’ve thought about it, and since we’re married, we shouldn’t sleep in separate rooms. So tonight, you co to my bedroom, and sleep with ."
The hand of Wen Ran that remained on the door handle slid down subconsciously at his words.
Although she thought this man was being unreasonable, she still tried to speak softly, "When we set our rules, we agreed on sleeping separately; you can’t just change your mind like that, can you?"
