Finished speaking, Fu Chen took the nu from Qin Zeyu’s hands and glanced over it, "This restaurant really isn’t much. They don’t even have a decent bottle of wine."

Wen Ran, "..."

And he’s drinking? It’s not even his treat.

Eventually, the man reluctantly pointed at the most expensive wine on the nu, "Just this one then, it’ll do for a quick drink."

Wen Ran was annoyed inside.

Fu Chenlie was being so disrespectful, embarrassing her in front of Qin Zeyu.

But she couldn’t get angry, she could only hold it in.

Qin Zeyu was in a good mood and smiled, "I planned to have dinner with Ranran, so I didn’t intend to drink. I was only focused on finding a restaurant with good taste. Please bear with us. Another day, if we have a chance, I’ll ask Ranran to invite you specifically for a drink."

Fu Chenlie looked at him expressionlessly.

Who is he to make plans for Mrs. Fu?!

His gaze was sharp, leaving Qin Zeyu puzzled—

What did he say wrong?

During the stalemate, Fu Chenlie suddenly smiled, "Mr. Qin might be disappointed, but I am very busy and don’t have ti to go out drinking with people I’m not familiar with."

"It’s okay, there will be more opportunities in the future," said Qin Zeyu.

Wen Ran did not want them to talk anymore and quickly turned to Qin Zeyu to change the subject, "Qin Zeyu, I heard that you went abroad after high school graduation. When did you co back?"

He smiled, "Didn’t expect you to pay such close attention to ."

Hearing this, Wen Ran instantly felt like crawling into a hole.

She nervously picked up the water next to her and took a sip, "I was just asking casually."

Qin Zeyu noticed her flustered drinking and thought she was shy, deliberately steering the topic back to their school days, "I heard that you had a crush on in high school?"

This statent caught the silent Fu Chenlie’s attention.

He turned his head to look at Wen Ran.

Wen Ran also instinctively glanced at her husband, her eyes full of surprise and confusion.

But soon she looked back at Qin Zeyu, "Who... who told you that?"

"Don’t be nervous, I was just asking casually."

"I... I’m not nervous, high school is in the past. I was young then and didn’t really understand what liking soone ant."

After saying this, she continued drinking water.

Qin Zeyu nodded in agreent, "Right, soone ntioned it to , and then I rembered. In high school, I noticed you following several tis, but you turned away as soon as I saw you. Those were probably not coincidences?"

Fu Chenlie listened quietly, a trace of interest flickering in his dark eyes.

Wen Ran was very nervous.

She felt like she was about to die.

Why suddenly bring up such topics when there was another person present?!

Not knowing how to answer, Wen Ran could only continue drinking water and pretend dead.

Qin Zeyu saw her water glass was almost empty and picked up the jug to fill it for her.

"Thank you," she said softly.

The waiter ca over at that ti to serve the food, and Wen Ran finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After the dishes were served, the waiter left.

Qin Zeyu looked at Wen Ran, about to say sothing, but Wen Ran quickly spoke first, "Let’s eat first. The food is best enjoyed while it’s hot."

"Sure, eat more. The food here tastes really good."

"Okay."

As Wen Ran picked up her chopsticks to start serving herself, Fu Chenlie looked at her coldly and commanded, "Pour a glass of wine."

Wen Ran’s hand paused, and she looked at him, humiliation in her eyes.

She tried to convince herself, he is the boss, it’s normal to pour a glass of wine for the boss, then bravely picked up the bottle.
