Qin Zeyu looked up at the sound.

The mont he saw Wen Ran, a smile almost imdiately spread across his youthful face, "It’s been a while."

After speaking, he pulled out a chair for her, "Have a seat first?"

Wen Ran, observing his gentlemanly behavior, felt odd inside.

The affection of youth, though profound, had faded over four years as the frequency of mories and longing diminished with ti.

It was only now upon seeing him again that uncontrollable mories surged forth, clarifying that everything about Qin Zeyu still held a significant place in the deepest recesses of her heart.

"Thank you," she said, masking her emotions with politeness.

Perhaps the sight of Qin Zeyu had stirred up too many strange feelings within her, Wen Ran montarily forgot—

She hadn’t co alone.

The mont her bottom touched the chair, a voice interjected, "This is..."

He paused deliberately, then looked at Wen Ran with a thin smile on his lips, his tone vaguely rising, "Your classmate?"

She instantly beca alert and looked toward Fu Chenlie, obediently replying, "Yes."

"Huh."

The man’s scornfully cold chuckle left Wen Ran sowhat at a loss.

Qin Zeyu looked at her confusedly at this point, "Wen Ran, who is he?"

"He is my old..."

She paused and then diverted her about-to-be-revealed words, "boss."

This introduction of "boss" made Fu Chenlie look at her deeply, a cold arc forming at the corners of his mouth.

Hearing he was Wen Ran’s boss, Qin Zeyu visibly relaxed quite a bit and smilingly spoke, "Didn’t expect your boss to dine here as well, quite a coincidence."

"Yes, he knew I was coming and gave a lift along the way."

"Your boss seems pretty decent."

Wen Ran half-heartedly smiled, "Yes."

Qin Zeyu looked toward Fu Chenlie, extending his hand proactively while maintaining standard social etiquette and grace, introducing himself, "Hello, I’m Wen Ran’s high school classmate, Qin Zeyu."

Fu Chenlie didn’t even glance at his extended hand, let alone grasp it.

He pulled out a chair beside Wen Ran himself and took a seat.

The man leaned back in his chair, his whole deanor exuding the powerful aura of a successful person accustod to high positions, subtly shifting the ho field advantage from Qin Zeyu without anyone noticing.

Despite the dining area of the restaurant being relatively spacious, it suddenly felt cramped with his presence.

Fu Chenlie briefly glanced at Qin Zeyu, who was still standing, and spoke indifferently, "Aren’t we here to eat? Everyone’s ti is precious, Mr. Qin, please order quickly."

Wen Ran was annoyed by Fu Chenlie’s disregard for others, yet she couldn’t help feeling embarrassed for Qin Zeyu.

She stood up, smiled at Qin Zeyu, "Shall we order?"

Qin Zeyu, though not understanding why Wen Ran’s boss was dining with them, went along with her suggestion, "Okay, what would you like to eat? It’s my treat."

"I’m fine with anything, you’re more familiar with this restaurant, you order."

"Alright."

Qin Zeyu called the waiter over and ordered four or five dishes, then glanced at Fu Chenlie, seeing that he showed no interest in engaging, he turned back to Wen Ran, "Ranran, do you want to ask your boss if he wants to add anything else?"

This mode of address, "Ranran," caused Fu Chenlie’s indifferent brows to slightly furrow.

Wen Ran did not follow Qin Zeyu’s suggestion and decided on her own, "No need, what you’ve ordered is enough."

"Alright then, we’ll start with this..."

Qin Zeyu’s words were cut off halfway by Fu Chenlie, "She isn’t , how would she know what I need?"
