He swiftly lifted his foot out of the car and stood at the car door, looking down at Wen Ran inside: "Driver Wen, I now order you as your boss to get out of the car and accompany to dinner."
Wen Ran looked at him defiantly: "What if I don’t go?"
The man’s dark eyes stared at her unblinkingly. His voice was calm, but it sent a chill down her spine: "You can try."
She pressed her lips together, the sound of her teeth clenching was audible.
But in the end, she averted her gaze, unbuckled her seatbelt, and got out of the car.
Before Wen Ran reached Fu Chenlie’s side, Liu Jing parked her car and jogged over, looking at Fu Chenlie with admiration: "Mr. Fu, shall we go inside?"
Fu Chenlie didn’t look at her, focused on Wen Ran and replied indifferently, "Mm," then turned and stepped forward.
Liu Jing cheerfully followed by his side, chatting with him with a smile.
Wen Ran followed behind the two of them.
From her angle, it seed Fu Chenlie wasn’t interested in Liu Jing’s words at all, walking with an unapproachable deanor, letting her chatter incessantly beside him.
Why take this aloof, superior attitude, yet agree to have dinner with Liu Jing?
Could it be just to let Liu Jing win a bet against her?
If that’s the case, wouldn’t he end up with Liu Jing tonight? Then why ask her to co?
To watch their bedroom scene?!
Wen Ran’s mood grew increasingly sour.
Once at the restaurant, Fu Chenlie found a place to sit down.
Liu Jing was about to sit next to him when the man suddenly spoke: "Ms. Liu, although I’m not short on money and can discard a few tailored suits, it is still a waste of the designer’s hard work."
These words undoubtedly reminded Liu Jing of the incident that night at the KTV when he discarded a coat because she touched him.
Liu Jing looked embarrassed but forced a smile and said, "I understand, I understand. Mr. Fu isn’t used to sitting with strangers. That’s understandable. I’ll sit opposite you."
Fu Chenlie didn’t respond and looked up at Wen Ran, gesturing to the seat beside him: "You sit here."
Wen Ran wanted to refuse, but seeing Liu Jing’s surprised expression, she still sat beside him.
After she sat down, Liu Jing said with a forced smile: "Wen Ran, your boss seems quite close to you, do you have a good relationship in private?"
She faintly retorted: "What kind of good are you asking about?"
"I an, are you friends in private?"
"No."
Liu Jing hesitated: "Oh, then you two are..."
Wen Ran responded without thinking: "Just a simple superior-subordinate relationship. You must have sothing to say to my boss since you’re treating him to dinner today. Your attention should be on him, not . He’s sitting right there, so just ask him directly instead of asking ."
After speaking, she picked up the water jug from the table, poured herself a glass of water, and wanted to take a sip to calm down.
Having to sit and watch while her husband was eyed and flirted with by another woman made her suffocate.
Fu Chenlie ordered the food and sat there expressionlessly.
Liu Jing looked at him several tis, wanting to speak but stopping.
Wen Ran noticed Liu Jing’s eagerness to move but also saw her fear and hesitation.
After all, Fu Chenlie was one of the top figures in Jiang City. Even though Liu Jing wasn’t aware, the powerful aura emanating from him, coupled with his elegant and noble deanor in every move, was enough to make any woman’s heart flutter.
Not to ntion his family background or personal capabilities, just the re attraction to his face and presence alone was enough.
