Wen Ran never expected that when Fu Chenlie grandly ntioned seeking her opinion as a reference, this was how he planned to seek it!

Being with him was truly like jumping from one pitfall into another!

What kind of ridiculous question was that?

How could she even respond?

To say she liked kissing him?

Or to say she liked being kissed by him?

Aren’t they both just about wanting to kiss?

Moreover, every answer was too embarrassing to utter!

Wen Ran felt—

She was about to shut down!

"Why aren’t you speaking?" Fu Chenlie, unable to wait any longer for a reply, urged.

Wen Ran stared into his eyes, steeled her heart, and finally spoke, "I like it when you make decisions."

Fu Chenlie’s eyes showed a hint of surprise as he raised an eyebrow and chuckled lightly, "Oh? Is that so?"

"Yes, you are the corporate leader; you make a lot of decisions, and they are usually correct. So however you want to do it, you decide."

"What I’m thinking about isn’t limited to just kissing."

Wen Ran, "..."

Is he starting with suggestive remarks again?

She pursed her lips to remind him, "Well, you only asked about kissing, so let’s not involve anything else."

Fu Chenlie looked at her pitiful and helpless little face, his voice laden with a touch of indulgence, "Alright, I’ll listen to Mrs. Fu."

In a daze, Wen Ran felt his voice was excessively pleasant.

Also, his mood seed to have lightened overnight.

Could a kiss really have changed this man?

Truly odd.

As her thoughts drifted away, her chin was suddenly lifted.

Realizing a kiss was imminent, her heart leapt up, and as she tried to brace herself with a fearless resolve, Fu Chenlie rely grazed her lips lightly with his, and then pulled away.

She stared at him baffled, her almond-shaped eyes brimming with confusion.

He raised an eyebrow, "What, not satisfied?"

His playful and rising tone in the follow-up question sent a current zapping straight through Wen Ran’s heart.

She pushed him away and took a couple of steps back, "Um... you should hurry off to work."

"Okay." Fu Chenlie responded with a single word and naturally took her hand, heading towards the entrance.

Wen Ran gazed at the hand he was holding, her eyes widening in astonishnt.

What was this move?!

She felt as if her heart was being barraged, thumping and unable to calm down.

Wen Ran always considered herself to be clear-headed and rational, but now, reflecting on Fu Chenlie saying he’d reduce her workload, kissing her, holding her hand, and speaking gently to her, so things seed to be moving in a direction beyond her control.

At this rate, she feared she might really fall for him.

But if she did fall for him, and they beca a normal husband and wife, she wouldn’t have to be persuaded ever again—that seed like a nice situation, didn’t it?

Thinking this way, she finally exhaled in relief.

Once they reached the yard, Wen Ran let go of Fu Chenlie’s hand and dashed to the driver’s side of the car, climbing in.

She was the driver, she would drive, to save any gossip.

Fu Chenlie quickly got into the car.

Wen Ran started the engine and drove off. Within a few minutes, the man in the passenger seat spoke up, "Yesterday, CEO Zhou confessed her feelings to ."

She responded with an "Oh," rolling her eyes, "Didn’t you not want to talk about it?"

"Now I do," he replied.

"Oh."

Fu Chenlie, seated properly in the passenger seat with a usually stern expression, now showed a rare tenderness as he spoke unhurriedly, "CEO Zhou said that she liked , and it was to get close to that she climbed from an intern to the position of CFO at Fu Group."

With that said, he fixed his deep gaze on her, "At that mont, I was thinking, if Mrs. Fu liked , to what extent would she be willing to go for ?"
