Chapter 612: Chapter 611: War Blood Pattern of the Donghuang Clan

“You’re older than Beibei, so you should be considerate of it, you know? Even though it’s, um, pretty cute this way, you can’t go against Beibei’s wishes…” Shao Zifeng crouched in front of two black-and-white lolis, admonishing Lingling like a weary father, “Do you understand what you did wrong?”

With tearful eyes, Bai Lingling gripped tightly at Shao Zifeng’s clothes. Hei Lingling, laughing gleefully, clung to his body, nodding her small head like a pecking chick, “Mmm, Lingling knows her mistake!”

Shao Zifeng squeezed her little face with satisfaction, “Then, will you do it again next ti?”

Lingling emphatically said, “I will!”

Shao Zifeng, “That’s right… What did you just say?”

With an innocent face, Lingling said, “I will~”

Shao Zifeng’s mouth twitched, “You were supposed to say you won’t! I’ll ask you again, will you rember this lesson?”

“I know~” Lingling said confidently, “The Duke has said it should be no~”

“Hahaha, captain, Lingling is too cut…uh.”

Hu Shiwu hadn’t finished his sentence when he saw Hei Lingling turn her head towards him. Her rosy little mouth revealed a cold smirk, with the red glint under the black veil flickering non-stop. A shiver ran down his spine as a strong survival instinct told him that finishing that sentence might spell his doom.

anwhile, as the ordinary people gradually left through the safety exits, nearly a thousand monsters completely lost their hiding spots.

Jiang Zhen, wearing a blood-stained military uniform, stood at the highest point of the stands, his eyes taking in the whole central arena—a ss of warped seats, cracked concrete, and collapsed load-bearing columns.

Dried bloodstains dotted with nurous corpses lay around. Set apart from the infected and the debris, there were bodies of both ordinary spectators and soldiers. A Stone-armored Giant Rhinoceros knelt down in front of its master, emitting sorrowful cries.

Jiang Zhen felt his heart pounding violently, each beat sending a warm flow toward his limbs, as if his body harbored endless strength.

Taking the walkie-talkie from his waist, Jiang Zhen looked at the last few hundred spectators by the safety exit, “Everyone’s accounted for.”

No sooner had the words transmitted through the walkie-talkie than the soldiers scattered around the central arena instinctively straightened up. The dead soldiers lay unmoved, but the Stone-armored Giant Rhinoceroses staggered to their feet, standing quietly like loyal guards, awaiting new orders.

Shao Zifeng and the others also stopped their conversation, and the arena fell exceptionally quiet, except for the unconscious howling of the monsters.

As the last person erged from the ergency exit, the monsters could no longer hide anywhere, pacing restlessly around the arena with greedy gazes occasionally set on the dragons within the protective barrier.

“Hiss—!”

Several monsters spotted Jiang Zhen alone, their bodies bent as they rapidly climbed the walls.

A fierce look flashed in Jiang Zhen’s eyes, “None shall remain, kill them!”

Crack!

He crushed the walkie-talkie in his hand, tore off his military uniform from his shoulder, and jumped down from the stands. As he descended, the blood patterns under his chest skin grew brighter, and his muscles bulged. He grabbed a monster’s head from the wall and pulled it down with him.

With a thud, the ground beneath Jiang Zhen cracked open, dark red blood splattering and leaving droplets behind. He stood up, shook the blood from his hand, and the headless corpse of the monster he had pinned to the ground was already motionless.

“Roar!!”

Hundreds of Stone-armored Giant Rhinoceroses charged like a torrent into the center of the arena, the ground shaking continuously. Several monsters that couldn’t dodge in ti were trampled into pulp.

“Hiss—!”

Several ters high, Rock Spikes erupted from the ground, their sharp tips piercing through the bodies of the monsters, black-red blood flowing down continuously. The monsters beside tried to dodge, but the ground suddenly split open beneath them, sending them howling into the abyss as the ground closed back up.

Hu Shiwu smacked his lips, “Wow, these big guys are really fierce, captain, let’s get involved too.”

Shao Zifeng tilted his head towards a deer in the sky, “I’ve always been helping.”

Having said that, he ignored Hu Shiwu and continued holding the two Linglings, one black and one white, watching the battlefield with great interest.

Ratatat.

Clear hoofbeats resonated, as the delicate figure of a deer galloped through the void, leaving ripples in its wake like those on water.

“Huff~”

At that mont, he suddenly felt a rush of air above his head. Shao Zifeng looked up to see the Iron-eating Giant Panda staring straight at him.

The Iron-eating Giant Panda didn’t open its mouth but expressed its dissatisfaction with grunts from its nostrils.

Shao Zifeng figured out what it ant and after pondering for a mont, he said, “I had asked you to prepare for a rampage just now, but the charging forces beat us to it. You can’t bla for that.”

This explanation didn’t satisfy the Iron-eating Giant Panda, which nudged Shao Zifeng’s hair with its nose, grunting.

Shao Zifeng dodged to the side, crouching slightly, “I can’t make them stop; you go. You have more clout than I do.”

Chen Yixin watched them amusedly and signaled her assistant with her eyes.

Tang Tang quickly bowed her head and rummaged through her bag for a while, then, holding two pieces of candy, she gleefully approached the Iron-eating Giant Panda, shaking the candy in her hand, “Big guy, want so candy?”

“Hmm?”

The Iron-eating Giant Panda seed to have forgotten Shao Zifeng. It twitched its nose and turned its large head around, looking eagerly at the candy in Tang Tang’s hands.

Seeing this, Shao Zifeng sighed in relief and turned his attention back to the battlefield, specifically to Jiang Zhen, who was in the midst of battle.

Looking at the pale blue light screen’s information, Shao Zifeng’s heart thumped violently. Jiang Zhen had indeed activated a ‘divine gift,’ specific to the Donghuang Clan.

Moreover, the information on the light screen distinctly classified potential as well as various levels of power, which were not present when he previously viewed his own information.

Thinking this, Shao Zifeng hurriedly closed his eyes to activate empathic abilities, and then opened his eyes to look at his right hand.
