"What's wrong? First stop crying and tell where you are, I will co there imdiately." Lucian spoke, his tone filled with worry, but there was a smile on his face as he watched his mother from the sky.
"A- At my company… please co here sob imdiately haa sob, I can't h- hold on any longer sob" Diana continued to cry but the worry in Lucian's voice made her feel a bit better, she just wanted to be in his arms.
"Alright, just be safe and don't go anywhere else, I'll be there as soon as possible." Lucian spoke, the concern for her evident in his voice.
"…Okay" she whispered as the call ended and she buried her face into her arms and continued to sob silently, this was the biggest and most painful blow she had received in her entire life, now she didn't know what to do.
Lucian put away the mobile and looked at his mother from the sky for a few seconds, her condition was quite like him, with nowhere to go and almost no money or anyone to rely on, she would only feel despair as the last person she trusts will also leave her.
After releasing a sigh, he turned and flew away; leaving her to suffer in her misery all alone. This was cruel but she deserved it.
Lucian now planned to collect the smaller versions of Velm that he had sent out on missions, they were all already back and each contained quite a bit of energy, after this part is done he would return to the other Earth and do the sa with all the chasms.
Velm had gathered in a desolate area near his house, so in a short ti Lucian arrived there; all the chasms from the Earth had been completely destroyed by him, there wasn't a single one left that connected to any other planet.
"Hoo Now this is going to be a bit exciting, I wonder how much my strength will increase after this." Lucian mumbled, with each evolution the difficulty of reaching the next one increases exponentially.
Which also showed the difference between each evolution, the difficulty of going from the 8th phase of evolution to the 9th is extrely high, if going by the normal way one would have to kill a lot of creatures and it would simply take a lot of ti.
But with Lucian's thod, it would undoubtedly be much faster, as long as he could absorb the energies of the planets.
Lucian landed on the ground and after scanning his surroundings he made sure that no one was around, there was absolutely no one stronger than him on this Earth so he didn't have to worry too much.
He made a seat from Velm and sat down on it as all the energy collectors soon arrived in front of him, these parts of Velm had absorbed energies from several chasms and now they had already rged into one, containing a large amount of energy.
Taking a deep breath, Lucian extended his right hand as Velm was absorbed back into his body, and in the next instant all of the absorbed energy was released into his body like a flood, his face turned slightly red and veins bulged.
He imdiately focused and began to absorb and rge with the energy, let it flow into all his cells, organs and bones, he no longer had any problem absorbing so much energy, at least he won't get hurt from doing so.
Seconds turned into minutes, the surroundings were filled with an intense pressure and the land around Lucian cracked as his aura kept growing stronger and stronger, as more ti passed.
After nearly two hours had passed, Lucian had finally absorbed the last strands of energy into his body, and the pressure around him had beco several tis intense. Just from his aura, it could be sensed that his strength had increased by a few tis.
He had reached the peak of the 8th phase of evolution, just a bit more and he would be able to reach the 9th phase but still the change in his strength from early to peak was very large, he could defeat the past him from two hours ago within a few minutes.
"Haa That was nice, now I have to use all the chasms on the reverse Earth too. The number of chasms there are many tis higher, and of higher phases, even seventh and eighth phases. Heh I am sure I will even surpass the ninth phase." Lucian mumbled, as he stretched his arms and looked down at Velm which also seed to have grown along with him.
Just Velm alone would be enough to deal with people of up to 7th phase now, after all it also possessed those tiny insects who devour like crazy and the fla of corruption, which could make ti and space itself rot.
"Hmmm I got several calls, she must be really desperate." Lucian took out his mobile and saw the number of calls and ssages he had received from Diana.
He didn't want her to take the easy way out and just end it all by committing suicide so he had left a small part of Velm along with her, she needs to suffer properly.
She still valued her business a lot, losing it all will be like the worst nightmare even if that business would have beco useless after just a few more days when the whole Earth would be in danger of extinction.
Lucian had planned to spend a day or more here with his family before returning to the other Earth, he wanted to spend as much peaceful and wholeso ti with them as possible, who knows after the calamity strikes all his preparations might co to naught and he might end up dead along with all others.
So he had to enjoy the remaining ti as much as he could, with the families he has here and on the other Earth.
After taking a deep breath, Lucian decided to not think about it as he flew into the air and disappeared, the thought of separating from his family for eternity was quite horrible, even though he previously didn't even have a family.
Even his speed had increased greatly, within seconds he had arrived at his ho, everyone was inside right now and they as well seed to be enjoying their ti, even after knowing of the coming disaster they didn't seem to be worried since they were sure Lucian would protect them. Although he could just enter directly but he always did this since Tess would always co running to open the door, with a dazzling and cute smile, the sight was always refreshing.
