In a daze, Diana ignored the thousands of ssages and called her secretary; for now, she desperately wanted to shift her focus from Lucian to sothing else. The scenes with her son kept playing in her mind.
"Why have you been- " Before Diana could ask anything, an urgent and despairing female voice ca from the other side, interrupting her.
"M- Mam, i- it's ruined… everything is gone. N- Nothing is left... sob sob," after speaking, the secretary began to cry. Diana frowned. She had known her secretary for so many years, and she was a strong woman. No matter how difficult tis beca, she never cried.
"Calm down first and tell exactly what happened. Is there so problem at your ho?" Diana asked, taking a deep breath.
"N- No, the company… it is gone. There is... sob... nothing l- left…" the secretary spoke between her sobs. Not only the money and building, but all their products, clients, and everything else were gone. They had also been charged with a large fine that they would have to pay as soon as possible.
Diana's legs trembled and her body went soft. She staggered back and stood with the support of the wall. Her mind had never been in such a bad state.
"T- Tell what exactly happened," Diana muttered, her voice unusually trembling.
"All of it happened at once. We received unknown attacks. Our company was hacked at first, then all the secrets of the company were leaked. The price of the stocks plumted to the lowest. One by one, all our partners cut ties with us. All our affiliated companies were ruined too. It is such a big ss, I- I don't know what to do. Where are you, mam? We have been trying to contact you since yesterday. Please return as soon as possible," ca the reply in a choking voice.
"I- I will be there imdiately," Diana barely managed to reply as she cut the call and just sat down. Her heart was beating so fast that it was about to burst out.
She felt pain in her throat and chest. Her body was trembling, and she was filled with a chill. After such a long ti, her eyes beca teary, and she was barely stopping herself from crying.
"I- I have to go. There must b- be so way to still save it." Diana stood up hastily. She wore her clothes properly and rushed out of the bathroom. As her gaze landed on Lucian, who was still resting on the bed,
Diana felt another headache. This was too much to handle for her at the sa ti. Her company was in shambles, and while it was happening, she had been having sex with her own son. Rubbing her forehead, she spoke in a low tone:
"I- I have to leave. Sothing important ca up at the company. I will contact you later."
"Is everything okay?" Lucian stood up and wrapped a towel around his lower body before approaching his depressed mother. He liked her expression. She needed to feel the sa level of pain, sadness, and despair. She should suffer for abandoning her child.
"Y- Yes, it is just a small problem. Sorry, I have to leave now." Diana just wanted to run out of here for now. She couldn't look straight at Lucian.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine. Just let know if I can help in any way." Lucian wrapped his arms around her waist just as she was about to rush out, then he kissed her soft lips.
Diana froze. Everything had changed now that she was aware that he was her son. She was kissing her son now.
"O- Okay, thank you." Diana pretended to be calm as she nodded and hurriedly walked out of the room. ThischapterwasuploadedbytheteamatM|VLEMPYR.
As the door closed behind her, Lucian sat back on the bed and smiled.
"The company she loved more than anything is gone now, and there is no way of getting it back. She wouldn't even be able to pay off the debt. Not to ntion, the person she had fallen in love with, the one she had sex with, turned out to be none other than her son. Haha, her mind should be in a complete ss right now." Lucian enjoyed her misery. It was fine that she divorced his father and left him, but after Alex had died, she should have co to see him at least once. If she had done just that, then Lucian wouldn't have suffered so much. Then his uncles' family wouldn't have dared to take away everything.
"Let her suffer for now. Echo, keep an eye on her at all tis. And Zero, you too," Lucian said as he calmly walked into the bathroom. He humd a song and began to take a bath.
Diana drove her car toward her company at high speed. She was trying her best to keep Lucian out of her head for the ti being. She would deal with that matter later, but first, she had to deal with the imdiate problem.
In her haste, she almost got into accidents a few tis and broke all the traffic signals. She arrived at her company office as fast as she could. A lot of people were gathered outside the building, not only employees but even police officers and other official workers who had seized the entire building.
Diana soon found her secretary sitting there and crying. She walked up to her and asked about everything that had happened. Then she talked with the officers and looked at all the activities that happened the previous day.
Finally, despair filled her mind as she staggered and sat down. Despite thinking for a long ti, she couldn't find a way to save her company. Whoever had instigated this attack had very thoroughly destroyed the company.
If she couldn't pay the debt, she would even have to go to prison. Everything was truly destroyed in such a short ti. All her hard work and years of planning and perseverance had all crumbled into pieces.
Despite her strong personality, receiving such a strong blow, Diana couldn't stop herself from crying. She covered her face and began to cry. Even at this mont, the only person she could think of was Lucian. She desperately wanted to talk to him and hide in his arms.
But the thought that he is her son—the one she had abandoned, the one who hates his mother with all his heart after suffering for so long—how could she even bring herself to call him?
She held her mobile tightly, every part of her being wanting to call him imdiately and rush to his side, but the guilt and sha stopped her from doing so.
She bit her lip and just cried there, as she watched her company, her business, being destroyed right in front of her eyes.
Finally, she couldn't stop herself as she dialed his number and put the mobile to her ear.
"Is everything fine?" ca Lucian's voice. There was a strong sound of wind mixed in.
"Sob sob L- Lucian, nothing is fine… p- please co here, I need you… sob," Diana cried her heart out, pleading for him to co to her side imdiately. As long as she remained silent, he would never know about their original relation.
Lucian floated in the air and looked down at his sobbing mother from the sky.
