Scarlett was rushing towards Lucian's location when she suddenly received a ssage back from him. Although she was still a little doubtful, she decided to wait a little longer, though her mobile was constantly receiving ssages from Natasha and Jasmine.
"Sigh, my life forward is going to be anything but ordinary," Scarlett sighed as she moved back to her car.
Inside a room where more than a dozen won were present, the atmosphere was tense. The won had been seated in their seats for more than seven hours, yet the person they were waiting for was nowhere to be seen.
"Leader, I don't think he is going to arrive here. Maybe we can select a later ti," one of the shards spoke, being careful not to anger the leader.

The sound of air being torn suddenly followed by a loud crashing sound made the expressions of all the won instantly change under their masks, especially the leader, whose eyes seed to be filled with so kind of excitent as she stood up and almost rushed outside to et him.
However, she was held back by Clara, who didn't want the leader of such a big organization to act like a little fangirl. In the end, she reluctantly sat down.
The shards all looked towards the door as the sound of faint footsteps began to echo. There was also soone who was frozen in her spot, her heart filling up with anticipation and fear.
Lucian had tried to slow down his speed when he reached close to his destination. His large wings had straightened up, but with such speed, he ended up crashing right in front of the house, though he barely managed to land on his feet.
'I really need so practice, but I feel so full of power right now. If I can find a 5th phase chasm, then I have a feeling I might be able to even evolve to the 6th phase. But my body really needs so rest after absorbing such a large amount of energy, so I'll take it a little slow for so ti,'
Lucian thought as he stretched his body. Then he looked at the small hotel in front of him; there wasn't anyone around. Since Lucian didn't want too many people around, there weren't any won standing outside the hotel. Lucian entered and then walked towards the first room. Pushing open the door, he walked inside.
He gazed at all the won who sat there wearing masks on their faces.
The light was bright, and there was no sound inside; the atmosphere was quite weird. Lucian saw an empty seat, and without saying a word, he walked towards it and sat down. It was exactly in front of the leader, who was staring at him with wide eyes.
He was wearing the sa clothes as the ones she had seen in the videos. Although his mask was slightly broken on one side, there was no doubt about it; he was the person she had been so badly wanting to et all this ti.
The leader's breathing quickened, and she didn't know what to say, just like a girl eting her idol for the first ti.
"I am Maledict. Sorry I got a little late for our first eting," Lucian spoke. His voice sounded heavy; he was able to change his voice in whatever way he wanted. The room remained silent as all the won stared at Lucian and waited for him to continue.
"While I was on my way here, I t a rather… wild bunch of won. Maybe you might recognize them." Lucian's eyes were looking straight into the leader's as he spoke.
Then, raising his right hand, he pointed his palm downwards, and in the next instant, various corpses fell down. Just as the won saw the condition of the corpses, they were all shocked, but the shock seed to increase as a few won in the room recognized so of the corpses.
Lucian looked at all the won, and his gaze seed to stop at a particular woman who seed a little shaken, though she had tried to hide her reaction instantly. The atmosphere beca even colder as a strong aura was released from the leader's body, making everyone but Lucian shiver in the room.
"I need answers," her voice was chilling. The other mbers were shocked to see their leader like this; never before had they ever seen her in such a manner.
"I—I can recognize a few of them, but I am not sure why they might have done sothing like this," Clara spoke, even her heart pounding wildly. The young leader seed foreign to her.
'He isn't the one who needs us, but we are the ones who need him. What if he decides to abandon us because of this incident?
Maybe I have been too lenient with them, and they have started to disobey and do such things behind my back.' The leader's eyes scanned over them all, her rage growing with each passing mont. But as her gaze fell on the 3rd shard, she paused since she always took action because of her anger.
'I have to make sure that he is satisfied, or it will all be useless if he can't trust . What if he thinks I am the one who has betrayed him? FUCK, that's why I had told them not to do anything,' she cursed in her mind. Her sharp gaze made the 3rd shard shiver, but she was trying to stay composed.
'I don't understand what went wrong. Didn't the tigress ntion that they had already defeated him? Or maybe those ssages were sent to by him. No matter what, I am sure they would never reveal my identity even if they are tortured to death.
And seeing their corpses, it doesn't seem like they underwent any kind of torture,' the 3rd shard thought. She understood that she was wrong and that her leader might have been correct. If she played it out right, then she might get out of this dangerous situation.
"Third, do you have anything to tell ?" the leader spoke while suppressing her rage. She just wanted to go ahead and slash off the heads of a couple of the won in the room before asking this question.
"I have no idea about this incident. I too have seen a couple of them before. Maybe soone had given an order to kill him, or maybe it was just an accident, if you want I will properly investigate this incident." the third shard replied, her eyes showing no fear but only confidence.
"What do you want to do?" The leader looked at Lucian and asked. She looked resolute, as if she would follow any order he might give with her life.
"Kill her," Lucian simply said. The eyes of all the won opened wide, and the third shard shivered as she understood the aning behind his words. Her body shook in fear as regret filled her; she had acted on impulse, and now there was no going back.
