Landon Sutton lowered his gaze and sighed, saying, "At the ti, I didn’t know who was deceiving , and I even felt you and Joel Bellamy were deceiving , so that’s why I suggested leaving."
Shannon Quinn knew it wasn’t entirely his fault; it was natural for him to feel confused at that ti.
If it hadn’t been for Joel Bellamy, perhaps everything would have been much easier, and things wouldn’t have developed to this stage.
"The wedding news was spread single-handedly by Joel Bellamy. She didn’t allow to leave, kept locked in a room. I heard you ca and argued with Joel Bellamy by the door; I took that ti to escape through the window. Later, I heard you had an accident."
His explanation seed to untie a knot in Shannon Quinn’s heart; at that ti, she had blad him for not coming out to see her, but it turns out he had escaped then.
However, saying these things now seems to be of no use.
So things, once lost, can never be retrieved.
She finds herself sowhat resentful of the mory-loss Landon Sutton, yet she thinks if he were to recover his mories and recall these things, the pain from self-bla he would bear might be imnse.
Catherine Yardley ca out of the kitchen with so fruits, and Shannon Quinn and Landon Sutton ended the discussion there.
But both of them were still troubled by the emotions caused by these matters.
After Catherine Yardley returned to the kitchen, the two sitting in the living room said nothing more.
Shannon Quinn treated Landon Sutton as if he didn’t exist, switching TV channels with the remote.
During lunch, thanks to Catherine Yardley’s presence, the atmosphere was less awkward.
Catherine Yardley initially ntioned wanting to bring Leo back for lunch, but Shannon Quinn refused.
Before Landon Sutton regains his mory, she doesn’t want Leo to et him.
The child longs for a father, and the current Landon Sutton cannot give Leo fatherly love; she doesn’t want to see the child looking disappointed again.
After the al, since Landon Sutton showed no intention of leaving, Shannon Quinn then suggested taking him back.
This ti, Landon Sutton didn’t shalessly stay, got into Shannon Quinn’s car, and told her the hotel where he had been staying.
Throughout the journey, Shannon Quinn didn’t speak, and Landon Sutton sat silently in the passenger seat, thoughtfully gazing out the window.
Close to the destination, Landon Sutton turned to her and said in a low, earnest voice, "Could you give a little more ti?"
Shannon Quinn didn’t respond imdiately but waited until the car stopped in front of the hotel and said, "I’ve said before, whenever you wish to co back, that place will always be your ho."
After speaking, she unlocked the car door, waiting for him to get out.
Landon Sutton hesitated, then pushed open the door, leaning on a black lacquered cane standing beside the car door, saying, "I believe you didn’t lie to ."
Shannon Quinn doesn’t want to continue the topic, coldly saying, "Could you please close the door?"
Landon Sutton sighed and closed the car door with a hand, taking two steps back, standing on the roadside, watching as she started the car.
As she was about to make a U-turn to drive onto the road, a similar image suddenly flashed through his mind...
The car drives onto the road; two cars collide...
Onlookers and discussions from passersby...
A woman covered in blood, barely breathing...
Landon Sutton closed his eyes and shook his head, but the noisy images in his mind couldn’t be shaken off.
The images were too vivid, making him feel like he had a prescient ability like in the movies.
He shouted towards the car that had smoothly turned onto the road, "Careful!"
However, Shannon Quinn didn’t hear him, and she drove away.
Landon Sutton watched her leave with worry, yet the dreadful images in his mind didn’t occur.
Later, those fragnts of images flashed repeatedly in his mind, scenes he couldn’t recall happening to him.
He painfully furrowed his brow, held his forehead, and closed his eyes.
It was then he realized these weren’t visions but his past...
Shannon Quinn’s car had already driven far, unable to see the man collapsed by the roadside from the rearview mirror.
The hotel’s security guard noticed him first but didn’t approach, rely pointed in that direction to his colleague, seemingly just watching the scene.
The hotel receptionist also heard the commotion and ca over; when others dared not get close, the girl knelt down and supported Landon Sutton’s upper body, gently tapping his face, speaking softly, "Sir, sir, are you okay?"
Seeing no response from him, she quickly took out her phone and dialed for ergency services.
Within minutes, an ambulance arrived, sending him to the hospital.
The girl followed onto the ambulance.
After Landon Sutton was pushed into the ergency room, she coordinated with the hospital to attempt contacting his family.
Due to Landon Sutton’s unique identity, the hospital recognized him as Vincent Rhodes and directly called the Rhodes Family.
Simon Rhodes was in the eting room, so he phoned Ronan Rhodes to go check the situation.
Outside the ergency room, Ronan Rhodes arrived only to see a girl sitting on a bench outside the room.
The girl was still wearing her hotel uniform: a white t-shirt, black pencil skirt, and simple black high heels.
Ronan Rhodes initially didn’t pay much attention to the girl until she stood and walked towards him, saying, "Hello, you are that gentleman’s friend, right?"
"It’s you?" Ronan Rhodes finally saw the girl’s face and was a bit surprised.
The girl had initially intended to leave after briefing the family mbers.
Ronan Rhodes’s question puzzled her a bit; she scrutinized Ronan Rhodes carefully but didn’t recall ever eting him.
Ronan Rhodes hinted, "That day at the hospital, in the elevator, we t."
He still rembered her tear-stained eyes vividly.
ntioning the hospital, the girl seed to prefer not to recall, simply saying, "He fainted outside our hotel, went in a while ago. I don’t know his current condition, you can wait here, I have to return to work now."
Ronan Rhodes looked at the girl, feeling a certain fate with her.
Knowing it was this girl who brought Master Nate to the hospital, he suddenly felt such kind-hearted girls were rare, gaining a sense of affection towards her, "Thank you."
The girl seed a bit shy, simply smiling and shaking her head before running off in her high heels.
Ronan Rhodes watched the girl’s back and smiled lightly.
Seeing a doctor coming out, Ronan Rhodes stepped forward to inquire, "How’s our second master doing?"
The doctor smiled, "It might be good news; he’s awake now, rembering many previous events. A psychologist is currently counseling him; he’s okay, perhaps his mories have returned."
Ronan Rhodes, appearing excited and incredulous, asked the doctor, "Really?"
The doctor nodded, "Give him so ti; wait here for a while, he should co out soon."
