When Shannon Quinn first entered the eting room, she was full of enthusiasm, sitting next to Landon Sutton, waiting for the other attendees to arrive one after another.

Those people seed a bit perplexed to see her sitting in the eting room, but nobody dared to say anything.

Out of curiosity, Shannon Quinn glanced through the contents of Landon Sutton’s folder. While the words were familiar to her, their combination left her puzzled about the aning.

When the eting began, Shannon Quinn was still alert, seriously watching the presentation on the projector and trying to grasp what the speaker was discussing. However, the monotonous percentages confused her.

Soon, she began feeling drowsy.

Ronan Rhodes gently nudged Landon Sutton’s arm and then pointed at Shannon Quinn beside him with his chin. Landon looked down to see Shannon Quinn resting her head, facing the podium, but her eyes were closed.

"Master Nate, are you planning to teach your wife business managent?" Ronan Rhodes asked quietly.

Landon Sutton didn’t answer, just gently tapped Shannon Quinn’s forehead. She suddenly sat up straight and awkwardly glanced at Landon Sutton, rembering her earlier promise to him, "No talking, no sleeping." She imdiately widened her eyes, trying hard to fend off sleep.

Just like dozing off in class and getting hit by the teacher’s chalk.

But the tedious eting content soon made Shannon Quinn’s thoughts wander again, her wide-open eyes slowly starting to close, reminiscent of school days, looking at those dense data charts, her head felt heavy.

"Shannon Quinn, you speak."

Suddenly called upon, Shannon Quinn woke with a start, and when she opened her eyes, she saw that Landon Sutton, who had been sitting next to her, was now on stage.

It was only when she noticed everyone’s gaze on her that she realized the voice she heard wasn’t from a dream.

She instinctively stood from her chair, bewildered, glancing around, her cute and charming deanor causing everyone in the eting room to snicker behind their hands.

"I just said sothing, just repeat it." Landon Sutton looked at her sternly.

Shannon Quinn cast a pleading look at Ronan Rhodes, who cleared his throat and whispered to her, "Master Nate’s laser pointer is on that sentence."

Shannon Quinn quickly looked up and tentatively read the sentence aloud: "Whether it’s online or offline sales channels, make sure quality is maintained, and do not..."

"Do not get distracted during etings." Landon Sutton interrupted her, looking at her.

Shannon Quinn pursed her lips, lowered her head, and pinched her fingers, feeling extrely embarrassed.

"Sit down, don’t lead my employees astray." After speaking, he continued with the eting content, using the laser pointer to indicate the PPT.

Sullenly, Shannon Quinn sat down, all drowsiness gone, raising her head to watch him speak fluently on stage, suddenly feeling that this scene was very pleasing to the eye.

Though she still couldn’t quite understand his talks about data growth, rely watching his every move felt like a painting she could never tire of.

When Landon Sutton ca down from the stage, Shannon Quinn was still gazing at him with a silly smile. Landon walked over and pinched her cheek, causing Shannon to flinch and draw back her admiring gaze, raising a hand to lightly hit him in protest.

Constrained by the fact that soone else was speaking on stage, Shannon just shot him a glare and didn’t say anything further.

The two-hour-plus eting finally ended, and Shannon Quinn dashed out of the eting room straight to the restroom.

After erging, she looked refreshed, spotting Landon Sutton waiting for her outside the restroom and whispered, "I was dying to go."

"I never forbade you from using the restroom."

Shannon Quinn began to air her grievances, "Why did you call on ? You embarrassed !"

Landon Sutton replied, "It’s my reputation at stake. If I’m okay with it, why should you be worried?"

Shannon Quinn retorted, "You did it on purpose!"

Landon Sutton asked her with a smile, "Next ti, shall we attend the eting together again?"

Shannon Quinn imdiately declined, "No way, it’s not fun at all."

Landon Sutton: "Did you think money just falls into one’s pocket without any effort?"

Shannon Quinn suddenly realized the tedious tasks she found boring were indeed Landon Sutton’s daily routine: "I suddenly feel you’re working really hard."

Landon Sutton: "Exactly, that’s why I’m wondering when I can just take it easy."

Shannon Quinn rolled her eyes, "Is your dental health bad?"

Landon Sutton: "I don’t know about my teeth, but I’m good at what I do."

Shannon Quinn blushed, "Shaless!"

Landon Sutton: "I wish I had so sha left, but you took it all earlier."

...

Afternoon, around five, Skylar Vance felt woozy and uncomfortable all night and wanted to return ho early to rest.

Seeing the sky hint at rain and not having an umbrella, Skylar Vance tried to get ho before the rain started.

She hailed a cab at the company gate, but midway, rain began to pour astonishingly hard.

Though it wasn’t yet six, the sky appeared as dark as nightti, around eight or nine.

After disembarking, she sprinted to the villa, but despite the short distance, the heavy rain drenched her clothes.

Raising her hand to enter the password at the door, the door didn’t open, displaying a wrong password ssage.

Susan Wilde frowned, confird carefully, and entered the password again with the sa error ssage.

She realized soone had changed the password.

Standing at the door hesitantly for a while, she rang the doorbell, unsure if there was no one inside or if they were intentionally not letting her in.

Feeling helpless, she had to use Simon Rhodes’s trick, going around to the back garden, pushing through the rose bushes, and with so difficulty, climbed onto the balcony.

During this process, she was completely soaked, and her mind wandered to the thought of soaking in a warm bath.

When she tried to push open the glass door, she realized her habit of locking it wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

Pressing herself against the glass window, staring into the warm bedroom, she could only shiver in the cold on the balcony.

Sitting in the corner of the balcony, she took out her phone and called Shawn Rhodes, who was answered by Rowan Alder: "Shaw is busy, don’t bother us, okay?"

After speaking, the call was abruptly hung up.

Susan Wilde inhaled deeply and rummaged through her bag, considering staying at a hotel for the night but failing to locate her ID.

With the rain intensifying and even rain spraying onto the balcony, staying there wasn’t an option. She climbed back off the balcony and headed to the security room: "Brother, do you have the key to this house?"

"Ma’am, sir didn’t instruct us. Isn’t the password enough to open it?"

Finding the security guard unaware, Susan Wilde considered other options: "Brother, do you have an umbrella?"

"Yes, wait a mont."

Borrowing an umbrella from the security guard, Susan Wilde stepped out only to realize she had underestimated the force of the rain.
