Landon Sutton asked back, "Why would Grandpa be angry?"

"Just now... didn’t he see it all?"

"It’s precisely because he saw everything that he’s not angry."

"What do you an?"

With a smile, Landon Sutton took out her pajamas from the suitcase and handed them to her, saying, "Go take a shower. You can’t sleep in here."

Shannon Quinn was stunned and walked a couple of steps toward the bathroom but turned back to Landon Sutton and said, "Nothing happened between Mr. Pierce and ."

"I know."

"It was Sylvie Pierce who tricked into going up. She said you and Grandpa were waiting for upstairs, that’s why I..."

Landon Sutton walked over, touched her head, and said, "I didn’t bla you. I know everything. Don’t overthink it. Or are you dawdling because you want to shower with ?"

Thinking back to last night’s experience, Shannon Quinn imdiately dashed into the bathroom. If she showered with him, she might really not wake up tomorrow morning.

Standing under the shower, Shannon Quinn still couldn’t quite believe that Shane Royale just let her off like that.

When the door opened and she saw it was Landon Sutton who ca, she felt joyous inside. But seeing Shane Royale following behind made her instantly feel it was too late.

She never expected that Shane Royale didn’t question or bla her, and even agreed for her and Landon Sutton to go ho together.

Maybe he couldn’t go against Landon Sutton and felt indifferent to everything and lazy to manage?

"Grandpa usually gets up at five in the morning. He mandates that our waking ti can’t exceed six o’clock. I can’t help you either. Just go to bed early."

Shannon Quinn nodded and obediently snuggled into the bed.

Landon Sutton also didn’t busy himself with work tonight and lay down with her.

"Has it always been like this for you guys?" After lying quietly for a while, Shannon Quinn couldn’t help but ask.

Landon Sutton answered, "Grandpa has always implented a military-style managent for the younger generation in the family. He says habits are ford from a young age. Since we started having mories, we’ve been following Grandpa’s schedule. We wake up at six to exercise. Initially, it was hard, but eventually, we got used to it."

Shannon Quinn thought for a mont, then snuggled closer to him and asked, "If Leo cos back in the future, will he have to be like you were when you were a kid? I’m afraid Leo might not be able to handle it. Waking up might be fine, but the training part worries ."

Landon Sutton chuckled lightly, "I think I can still make decisions for my own son."

"Actually, I want Leo to do what he loves. He doesn’t necessarily have to take this path, right?"

"That’s why I initially suggested naming him ’Finn Quinn.’ I also don’t want him to follow the sa path I did."

Shannon Quinn was silent, not knowing how to respond. Only Landon Sutton knows what he has experienced.

She only knew it was tough but didn’t know how tough.

Leo is also his son, and naturally, he wants to give the best to the child, so so things she doesn’t need to speculate too much.

She didn’t know how long she lay in his arms before falling asleep, only knowing that the next day she was really pulled out of bed by him.

Originally still half-asleep, seeing Grandpa downstairs in the living room with reading glasses on and reading the newspaper instantly made Shannon Quinn perk up.

She had never lived at the Rhodes Family before and hadn’t really interacted with Shane Royale, never had she felt this kind of tension.

Landon Sutton led her downstairs, first to Shane Royale, and greeted him, "Good morning, Grandpa."

Shane Royale looked up at them, and Shannon Quinn noticed the hint from Landon Sutton’s hand, awkwardly greeting as well, "...Good morning, Grandpa."

Shane Royale didn’t imdiately respond but looked up at the wall clock. Seeing the ti hadn’t surpassed six o’clock, he finally uttered a "Hmm," and continued reading the newspaper.

At this ti, Simon Rhodes also ca down the stairs, smiled, and greeted them, "You’re up so early too? Shannon, why not sleep a bit more?"

Landon Sutton jokingly said, "She would love to, but she doesn’t dare."

Feeling embarrassed, Shannon Quinn glared at him secretly. Simon Rhodes said, "Get ready and co for breakfast."

At the table with just the four of them, Shannon Quinn didn’t dare act as casually as she usually does at breakfast, sitting upright without speaking, just focusing on eating.

Simon Rhodes was the first to speak, asking Landon Sutton, "How long do you plan to stay here?"

Landon Sutton glanced at Shannon Quinn, knowing well she probably wanted to stay not even a day longer, and said, "At most, we have to go back after lunch. The child is still over there."

Upon hearing about the child, Shane Royale’s action of eating breakfast paused, clearly curious about the child, yet not wanting to initiate asking.

Simon Rhodes understood the old man’s thoughts, asked on his behalf, "I see you two are getting along now. Bring the child back to visit soti. After all, he should recognize his roots, right?"

Landon Sutton intentionally cast the topic to Shane Royale, saying, "That depends on Grandpa’s wishes."

"My wishes? Have I ever been listened to when I talk?"

"I haven’t done anything wrong, right, Grandpa?"

"Hmph." Shane Royale snorted, almost childishly.

Landon Sutton said, "Over the weekend, when the child is on break, I’ll bring him back."

Shane Royale didn’t express anything, but that ant he agreed.

Landon Sutton glanced at Shannon Quinn and then said to Shane Royale, "Shannon has ntioned you to the child. He’s always wanted to et you."

Shane Royale still looked indifferent. After finishing his breakfast, he stood up with his cane.

Shannon Quinn, not understanding Shane Royale’s temperant, thought he was unwelco to Leo’s return, secretly worried but then heard Shane Royale telling the butler, "In the next day or two, find so toys for the little one. Don’t let them co and find nothing to play with, and then start crying and making a fuss."

"What age toys, sir?"

Without even thinking, Shane Royale said, "Four years old."

Shannon Quinn was relieved. It seed Grandpa had always kept the child’s age in mind.

As Shane Royale turned to leave the dining room, Shannon Quinn said, "Thank you, Grandpa."

Shane Royale paused briefly then snorted lightly before continuing to walk.

The remaining three exchanged glances, and Simon Rhodes said, "The old man has asked about the child many tis. He’s been eager for you to bring the child back to see him."

"He’s just been thinking about his great-grandson. How about you, brother? Have you been pressed by Grandpa to get married?"

Simon Rhodes smiled helplessly, "How could he not? He’s ntioned it countless tis."

"So what’s your plan? You said before that when I ca back, you’d consider these things. Now you’re quite old; it’s ti to think for yourself. I’ll have a second baby with Shannon, but you’re still single."
