Chapter 48: Accuse
Victor began to smile when he realized that his improvent was far greater than he had expected.
Perhaps it was because he was still at a lower stage. At higher levels, even a 1% increase could be harder to achieve than 10% at the lower levels.
Two hours passed, and the Bloodline Pool gradually returned to normal.
It had lasted quite a long ti, considering what Victor added was a Heaven-Class Bloodline whose potential had already been significantly extracted.
[Bloodline:]
Heaven Guardian Dragon (Heaven Class >15%)
Even though the increase was quite substantial, Victor did not feel any disturbance.
With five points of Will Power, he could control the Bloodline’s power well.
At 15%, even if he were to add the sa Bloodline into the pool again, the improvent he would gain likely wouldn’t reach 5%—it might only be around 3%.
He stopped cultivating.
In terms of data, he was only one step away from breaking through into the Sovereign Realm.
Unfortunately, this was far from easy, as it required upgrading the class of his technique.
He stepped out and frowned slightly when he saw Layla again.
This ti, she wasn’t alone.
She was accompanied by a group of n.
"Young Master, they want to interrogate you," Evan, who had been waiting outside, said.
"Interrogate?" Victor showed a strange expression.
"Victor, you are suspected of forcing Martin to admit defeat in a wager he never made, in order to take his Bloodline and use it for your training. If you are confident you didn’t do this, co with us to the Law Hall for investigation," the woman announced.
She was one of the few who truly dared to confront Victor.
That was because her older brother was aiming for the position of World Monarch in this era.
Of course, the main reason was that they had a powerful alliance backing them.
"If you don’t have evidence, you can’t force . Find proof first," Victor replied calmly.
"I want to ask whether Alexandra was with you when that wager took place," Layla continued, still composed.
"You have no right to interrogate ," Victor answered.
"I see... then how about I ask Alexandra?" Layla smiled faintly.
"Let’s go!" she said, imdiately leaving with her subordinates.
Victor frowned.
"Young Master, Alexandra probably won’t lie. If this is proven, you might be expelled—or at least heavily restricted within the academy," Evan said.
Victor did not respond.
He wondered how Alexandra would answer.
Without saying anything, he followed Layla and her group.
Naturally, they headed toward Alexandra’s residence.
Lily was standing in front of the door. She frowned when she saw Layla and the others arrive.
"My Lady is cultivating. She cannot et anyone," she announced.
"Tell her I want to question her regarding the cris of her fiancé," Layla replied, her brows furrowed.
"Still not possible..." Lily answered.
Everyone was surprised to hear that.
Even while cultivating, Alexandra would definitely be aware of what was happening outside her residence.
She could hear them, yet Lily still refused.
This could only an Alexandra had instructed her to say so.
"Does she want to hide her fiancé’s cris?" Layla asked.
Lily looked awkward, as she was wondering the sa thing.
If that were true, then Victor must have had a strong influence over Alexandra.
"Layla, why are you forcing this? The truth is already clear, yet you insist it isn’t—are you trying to fra Young Master Russell?" Evan spoke again.
He had continued following Victor.
"Nonsense!" Layla snapped angrily.
"You’re the one talking nonsense. If you keep this up, we’ll have to investigate your motives. Or is this your brother’s order—to remove Young Master Russell from the academy? Hahaha, I knew it. He’s always been scheming and underhanded."
"Evan, how dare you accuse my brother?" Layla was breathing heavily in anger.
"The facts point to it..." Evan shrugged.
"What do you all think about this?" he then asked the group of students.
Strangely, they nodded.
"It seems you’re right, Evan. I feel like soone is deliberately targeting Young Master Russell."
"Yeah, this is clearly a malicious sche."
"Young Master Russell’s talent is a threat to everyone. Soone must lack the confidence to compete with him and wants him expelled to stop his growth."
Layla, "..."
Lily, "..."
Victor, "..."
Layla pointed at Evan, her face red.
"Good, very good!" she said, nodding before leaving, realizing she had lost.
It turned out many of Evan’s people had gathered there.
Victor had to admit—this one was truly vicious, even surpassing Bryce.
He was soone to be wary of, though not for Victor, as everything would still go smoothly as long as his mother was around.
His focus remained on increasing his strength.
In the end, strength was what determined whether he needed to care about people like Evan or Bryce.
"By the way, Evan, which teacher is best at helping upgrade a technique from Saint Class to Heaven Class?" Victor asked.
"It depends on the technique. What kind of technique is yours, Young Master?" Evan replied.
"A fist technique. One that contains anger," Victor answered.
"Oh, a fist infused with anger." Evan was quite surprised.
"That involves both the body and emotions. If it’s purely physical, Master Jones can help. But since it involves emotion, the best would actually be Lady Jade Sovereign. Unfortunately, her classes aren’t open—only her disciples or selected students can attend."
Evan looked slightly awkward as he said that.
The problem was, Lady Jade Sovereign clearly did not like Victor.
How could she be willing to teach him?
"Young Master, it’s fine to try Master Jones’s class first. He almost always talks about fists," Evan added.
"Alright, take
to his class," Victor said.
He glanced at Alexandra’s residence briefly before following Evan.
Master Jones was an old man who welcod mbers of the Russell Clan.
The long-bearded elder had a large class, as many students attended his lessons.
When Victor arrived, he saw Master Jones punching a thick slab of steel—and it shattered instantly.
Of course, breaking steel wasn’t difficult with his strength, but he did it while his power was sealed and his body reduced to that of a mortal.
Shattering thick steel as a mortal was theoretically impossible—but not if one had mastered their technique to an extre degree.
Victor’s arrival surprised even Master Jones himself, not to ntion the students.
For a mont, the entire atmosphere froze.
