After a lively day of playing at ho, the busy New Year activities were finally over. With still so ti left before school started, Kaede and Eriri planned to spend the remaining days leisurely.
Morning, eight o'clock.
Eriri, who was still sound asleep under the covers, felt Kaede stirring beside her and slowly opened her eyes.
"Ugh... Kaede-kun, what ti is it?"
Kaede, who was getting up, stretching, and putting on clothes, said, "It's eight o'clock. We agreed to start exercising again today. You haven't forgotten, have you, Eriri? You've been relaxing for several days now!"
"Ah... I've co down with an illness where I get a headache if I wake up early. I need to sleep until ten o'clock to wake up without any side effects~~~"
As she spoke, Eriri even burrowed further into the covers, rolling herself up in the blanket, attempting to renege on the agreent.
Kaede, having finished dressing, turned around and saw that the girl still had no intention of getting up. He shook his head helplessly.
"You know I won't let you off easily, so why aren't you getting up?"
There was no response.
Scratching his head, Kaede took a deep breath and walked straight out of the bedroom, only jogging back in after two minutes.
Then, he plunged his hands, which had been exposed to the cold air, directly under the blanket and pressed them against Eriri's cheeks.
"Yikes!!!!"
Startled by the sudden cold, Eriri instantly woke up and jumped out of the covers, glaring furiously at the smirking Kaede in front of her. "Kaede-kun!!!!"
Kaede completely ignored Eriri's annoyance, patted her head, and said, "Good girl, ti to get up. Didn't we agree to exercise and then go to the supermarket together?"
"..."
After being roused by Kaede, Eriri reluctantly got out of bed and started her exercise routine with him.
Having been lazy for several days, suddenly resuming exercise was quite an adjustnt for Eriri, but fortunately, the amount of exercise today was not excessive and remained within an acceptable range.
After exercising, washing up, and eating breakfast, the two changed clothes, put on the infamous extra-long scarf they shared, and headed out.
"It's so cold... I must have been crazy to tell you yesterday that I wanted to go out together this morning, Kaede-kun."
Shrugging her neck, Eriri hugged Kaede's arm tightly and spoke with a look of depression.
Kaede, being used to the temperature, chuckled and said, "Since we're already out, don't say things like that. Besides, school starts in a few days. You can't possibly stay indoors forever, right? It's good to get used to it beforehand."
"I know that, but I really don't like winter. And... I don't like sumr either!"
"Hahaha, it's a good thing air conditioning exists now. If there were no AC, how exactly would you survive winter and sumr?"
"Kotatsu in winter, cold drinks in sumr!"
Only Eriri would say that.
The two bantered back and forth on various topics, and Eriri gradually forgot about the cold temperature, a smile returning to her face.
Arriving at the supermarket and grabbing a shopping cart, Eriri looked at the list saved on her phone. "Hmm, the ingredients we bought for the party two days ago were used up yesterday. Ti to restock. Kaede-kun, should we buy the ingredients first?"
"Yes, let's go early to check, before all the good stuff is picked over. No need to rush for snacks."
Taking over the job of pushing the cart, Kaede said, "Let's go. Didn't you want to eat grilled at? We need to pick out so good cuts then."
"Okay~~~~"
Arriving at the at section, the two imdiately began selecting ingredients for today and tomorrow.
"Ah, Wagyu beef! They haven't sold out yet!"
Eriri spotted the high-grade Wagyu beef with the sign hanging nearby right away and pulled Kaede over.
Just as they walked over, they saw an acquaintance approaching from the other side.
"Shirogane-senpai?"
That's right, it was Shirogane Miyuki, whom they hadn't seen for a while. Judging by his actions, Shirogane Miyuki must have also co to buy groceries.
Shirogane Miyuki saw Kaede and Eriri too, and greeted them with a smile. "Oh! It's you two. Happy New Year!"

"Senpai, have you been busy during the New Year period?"

As Kaede spoke, he saw Eriri walking over with several boxes of wagyu beef and putting them into the shopping cart.

Shirogane Miyuki's action made both Kaede and Eriri pause. They knew about the Shinomiya family's ergency situation; it was highly unlikely they would eat such expensive wagyu beef.

Shirogane Miyuki chose two boxes of wagyu beef and put them into the shopping cart, then said with a smile, "The bonuses from my part-ti jobs in the last few days of the year were quite generous, plus my dad's streaming work has picked up outside of his usual job, earning a good amount of money. So, we can be a little extravagant for New Year's. Also..."
"Also?"
Scratching his cheek, Shirogane Miyuki surprisingly blushed a little and whispered, "Um... Shinomiya is coming over for dinner today, so I have to prepare sothing nice, right?"

Eriri didn't have an ahoge, but at this mont, she felt her imaginary ahoge twitch. She asked curiously, "Senpai, have you and Kaguya-senpai made progress? When did this happen? How far have you progressed?"
Kaede also looked at Shirogane Miyuki in surprise, his guess similar to Eriri's. After all, if soone cos over for dinner on New Year's, he would absolutely not believe that their relationship hadn't progressed.

Shirogane Miyuki suddenly regretted saying it. The looks from these two were truly aggressive.
But there was no choice. Shirogane Miyuki finally nodded in acknowledgnt: "Yes, on Christmas Day, I officially confessed to Shinomiya. Now... we're dating, I guess."
"Oh!!!!!"
Eriri exclaid, clapping her hands: "Congratulations! This is great news! But Kaguya-senpai is really stingy, not telling about such good news!"
"Ah, about that." Shirogane Miyuki scratched his cheek and said with a smile, "I asked Shinomiya not to tell anyone yet. After all, it's New Year's now, and everyone has their own things going on. They'll naturally find out when school starts."
Although they found out a bit late, this was definitely good news. Shirogane Miyuki and Shinomiya Kaguya had finally gotten together.
