As Glen and Malo were finishing their patrol and had found nothing suspicious, Glen contacted Lanis to ask where he was, and Lanis imdiately replied that he was arriving at the last village he needed to check.
Glen reminded him to get in touch with Tarik to manage the follow-up, and he inford Elias that they were arriving with Malo since they had finished their mission here.
Elias told them to blend into the shadows around the arena and to remain invisible until he needed them.
Once they finished, Glen and Malo teleported into the prison dinsion. Following Elias’s orders, they then teleported near the arena. As planned, they remained invisible on the heights, allowing them to gain a comprehensive overview of what was unfolding below.
However, despite being able to follow Elias and the others’ conversation through the telepathic link they all shared, they still widened their eyes in shock at the sight of the nurous corrupted souls present in the arena.
Glen then asked Elias through their telepathic link, "Should we go get Lena? Her light could surely save most of them, right?"
Kelan then said, frowing, using their telepathic link to communicate too, "Wait, there is sothing strange."
Elias then said, looking sideways at him, "You were right; Tarik just arrived at the ruins of Lilith’s forr base; however, he is waiting for Lanis to be available to go inspect it. He hasn’t touched anything, and I repeat, with my force field around them, my n are completely undetectable."
Kelan then said to them, "If it’s not Tarik, then it’s soone else; the Knight of Darkness just exchanged a glance with Roman, and the latter shook his head imperceptibly—I’m sure of it."
He added, "Moreover, all the n who were behind Roman when we arrived—those with corrupted souls and the others—have tensed slightly, as if on guard."
After checking what Kelan had just pointed out, Elias said, "Indeed, they seem ready to fight."
These n exchanged glances with each other, and he could see a glimr of determination in their eyes, the sa that his n had before an important mission. Interesting, Elias thought imdiately.
Elias then said, "These n seem to be fighting for the sa cause. Glen, you’re right; they can probably still be saved. Return to the prison dinsion and contact Atlas and Lena; have them co without delay and join us in the arena."
Tarik then said, after hearing that Roman’s n were ready for battle, "For now, I don’t feel anything suspicious here, and no portal has opened since we arrived in this world. I’ll keep you inford."
Elias then told him, "Once Lanis has joined you, be extrely cautious, both of you. We have been dismantling Lilith’s training camps recently, so you already know what to look for and which traps to avoid."
Liam suddenly asked him through the communication stones, "Ian can feel that sothing is bothering Roman. His way of fighting has changed; he is more aggressive, but he is also making more mistakes, as if his mind is elsewhere."
Elias sighed and said to him, "I think we’re going to have to stop this fight. There’s a problem, and I have the feeling that Roman wants to handle these issues alone without our intervention. However, by trying to end this battle quickly with increased aggression, Ian, who has remained focused, might notice weaknesses in Roman’s fighting technique that he hadn’t seen earlier."
Liam asked him, remaining impassive, "What kind of problem? Another attack?"
Elias replied imdiately, "We’re not sure yet."
Suddenly, Elias snapped his fingers, and a golden portal appeared. Atlas and Lena stepped out and positioned themselves near Elias.
As for Glen, he used the prison dinsion to return to Malo once his mission was accomplished, and both of them focused on the arena where the fight had finally co to a halt.
Roman, who did not like to be interrupted—especially when fighting in the arena in front of his people—eventually asked Ian, "I’m sorry, but as you can see, there’s a problem! Let’s fight another ti, young Drakonit!"
Ian then said, "No need!"
And in a loud voice, to be heard by all, he declared, "I forfeit! Our king could have defeated nurous tis already, but he has never gained the upper hand in this battle because the blows he could have landed would have seriously wounded ."
Ian then knelt before Roman and said, "It has been an honor, my king, to fight against you."
Phil, Blaise, and the other Drakonits joined Ian and knelt before their king, saying in unison, "Long live the King!"
Roman sighed, realizing it was such a sha; he would have loved to finish this duel, as Ian likely had much more to demonstrate than he had shown.
But he respected his choice, and so, while the crowd was still cheering them loudly, he signaled for them to rise. As Elias approached with the others accompanying him, he asked aloud this ti, "Why did you bring more people? Is it because of the serious threat you ntioned to ?"
Roman’s n, along with the Knight of Darkness, had joined him as well, and Elias then asked him, speaking frankly without using any other ans of communication, "Do you have unwavering faith in your n?"
Roman nodded and confessed, because there were no secrets between him and his trusted n, "So are Drakonits who have deserted the world of Titans; they suffered torture there, and if they managed to escape, it’s because they were strong enough to go on missions. So even underwent intensive training in Lilith’s personal dinsion, but their missions eventually went against their code of honor, so they chose to flee."
Elias nodded as the n with corrupted souls bowed their heads to him to show their respect, all except Johan, the right hand of Roman and the only Knight of Darkness here.
As for the Drakonits with corrupted souls, the way Roman found and helped them was sothing he had expected.
